EREBUSDark in every sense of the word, a skilled and lethal warrior, and sinfully sexy by design.

Since the dawn of modern man, Erebus was a secret weapon in the war between the immortal realms. For the last hundred years, though, he’s been stuck training immortal warriors in warfare and the sexual arts. But he’s never stopped longing for freedom. For a life filled with choice. And lately, he also longs for one female who entranced him during their steamy seduction sessions. One he quickly became obsessed with and who was ripped from his grasp when her seduction training was complete. One he’s just learned has been marked for death because she failed her latest test.

Before Erebus can intercede on the female’s behalf, she flees into the human realm. Erebus is sent to hunt her down and kill her. But though Erebus sees his opportunity to finally go after what he wants, he finds himself torn. Freedom means nothing if the female at the center of his fantasies doesn’t truly crave him back. And if he defies the immortal world by choosing her over his duty, whether she joins him in exile or not, the hunter will become the hunted.

Hunted is a novella in the Eternal guardians series and it follows Erebus a lesser god and Sera a nymph with a couple of secrets. The story can be read as standalone and I don't believe the readers will have any problem understanding what is going on. Erebus once was under the command of Hades but after a bet he ended up training the nymphs for Zeus. 18 earlier from the events of the book Erebus trained Sera and even if nothing happened besides the training in both of them started to feel something more for each other.

The story was a little rushed but overall the book was good. I had no problem reading it and I enjoyed the author's writing style.I might have wanted more on story because what we got seemed too short to me, but I loved Erebus and Sera. They were amazing characters and they made the story a delight. I would definitely recommend the book to those who follow the series and to those who haven't read the rest of the books yet. T

4 unexpected stars

What another great release from the 1001 Dark Nights lineup. If there's one thing that i love about it, it's the fact that the authors and the books published are so diverse that you can never run out of genres to read. And i've been following it (the series/lineup) for quite some time now and through this, i've managed to discover so many new authors. Elisabeth Naughton was one of these authors that i discovered from the 1001 Dark Nights, and Hunted is the second novel i've read by her so far.

4 breath taking dreams

I was instantly captivated by the storyline - a paranormal romance that tells the story of Erebus and Sara. I'm a God/Goddess buff and love when they're used in books - especially when the mythology is well used, and that's what this author did. She created a world where love between these two characters shouldn't exist because of who and what they are, and yet they're defying the odds. I liked this book, the second from this series i've read, and more than a little curious to find out what the rest looks like.

There’s nothing I love more than seeing a big guy brought to his knees by the love bug and Erebus was the perfect candidate! His eye opening moments were sweet and quiet, while his reactions were steamy. Erebus and Sera melted the pages and my heart! I can’t wait to see whats in store next!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 27, 2017

Erebus – Dark in every sense of the word, a skilled and lethal warrior, and sinfully sexy by design.

Since the dawn of modern man, Erebus was Hades’ secret weapon in the war between the immortal realms. Until Hades lost the minor god in a bet to his older brother Zeus. For the last hundred years, Erebus has trained Zeus’s Siren warriors in warfare and the sexual arts. But he’s never stopped longing for freedom. For a life filled with choice. And lately, he also longs for one Siren who entranced him during their steamy seduction sessions. A nymph he quickly became obsessed with and who was ripped from his grasp when her seduction training was complete. One he’s just learned Zeus has marked for death because she failed the last Siren test.

Before Erebus can intercede on the nymph’s behalf, she escapes Olympus and flees into the human realm. In a fit of rage, Zeus commands Erebus to hunt her down and kill her. Erebus sees his opportunity to finally go after what he wants, but he’s torn. Freedom means nothing if the Siren at the center of his fantasies doesn’t truly crave him back. Because defying the gods will unleash the fury of Olympus, and if he chooses her over his duty, whether she joins him in exile or not, the hunter will become the hunted.

REVIEW: 4.5 stars--HUNTED by Elisabeth is the latest installment (#8.75) in Elisabeth Naughton’s contemporary, adult ETERNAL GUARDIANS paranormal, romance series based in Greek mythology, prophecy and history, as well as the latest addition to the multi-authored 1001 Dark Nights series. The modern day heroes –the Argonauts-are descended from the Gods of Olympus whom fate has decreed the Eternal Guardians on Earth. This is the god of darkness Erebus, and siren/nymph Seraphine’s (Sera) story line. HUNTED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing theme and story line running throughout.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Erebus and Sera) HUNTED is a second chance story line that focuses on the rekindling romance between Erebus and Sera, and the Sera’s battle to stay one step ahead of Zeus. Eighteen months earlier Sera had been trained in the art of seduction by the man who would steal her heart-Erebus- but Erebus made no promised for the future as his seduction of the Siren was all a part of the woman’s siren training. Fast forward to present day wherein Erebus has been ordered to retrieve a wayward Siren who had stolen something that Zeus wanted back. Enter Seraphine-the woman Erebus has not forgotten-and Erebus’s ultimate target. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Erebus and Sera, and the couple’s battle to remain together in spite of their promise and their pledge. Entering into the world of the Eternal guardian warriors-the Argonauts- finds our couple at odds as to their future, and the difficult task placed upon our hero’s head. Erebus knows that to defy Zeus’s command he will be unable to return to Olympus and remaining behind will place another target on his back.

HUNTED continues to follow Zeus’s struggle to complete the Orb of Kronus- a circular disk, designed by Prometheus, that holds all four elements, and the deity who is in possession of the Orb has the ability to start the war to end all wars. Zeus had previously stolen the Orb of Kronus from the Argoleans but the water element remains elusive, and Zeus suspects is has been hidden in Argolea, where the Olympians –and thusly Zeus- are unable to cross.

The character and world development is colorful and detailed-the ongoing premise and story line regarding the Orb of Kronus is intricate and detailed; the developing suspense is memorable and impressive.

HUNTED is a fast paced story line steeped in Greek mythology and prophecy blended into a modern day tale of gods seeking power and revenge against those they consider less than worthy. Several of the previous story line couples, Argonauts and gods play secondary and supporting roles-Erebus and Sera have found a permanent home with the Eternal Guardians and the Argonauts. The premise is imaginative and exciting; the romance is passionate, erotic and fated; the characters are colorful, inspiring and intense. HUNTED and the ETERNAL GUARDIANS series will captivate your imagination.

Erebus is responsible for training Zeus's sirens. When he's sent after a particular one, Erebus isn't sure how he'll face bringing her back to Zeus's wrath. Sera is determined to see Zeus thwarted and she'll do anything in order to stop him.

The romance in this was okay, until there was the threat of sexual assault. That's when I checked out. I was like nope nope nope. Not for me. At times I also felt like both characters were threatening each other in unhealthy ways that made me cringe.

I didn't really understand the connection between Erebus and Sera all that much either. In the beginning, we don't even know they know each other until after a big chase scene. Plus they way they bonded with each other felt so fake? And the flashback wasn't even very long, but somehow months later Erebus of course remembers her and how good she was in bed.

The ending was a total cop out. I'm not here for it.

The best compliment for good writing is when a reader gets to the end and just begs for more. That is how this novella read for me. I love all the Eternal Guardians and this little side trip was no exception. We have met the characters in earlier books. But bringing together Erebus and Sera was not only a brilliant story move, it was extremely, smoking HOT!!

I don't want to give much away, as the Guardians are still trying to out smart Zeus. This book, while not about the Guardians per se, it does involve the protection of Argolea. We do get to catch up on most of the gang as they help Sera in her quest. And we learn a who lot more about the Gods and lesser Gods as part of the world building.

Great addition to the series! Love the writing and the creativity! Looking forward to MORE!

Erebus and Seraphine, phew *fans self with hands. We met them in Awakened Book 8. This book explores the explosive attraction between minor god Erebus and Siren in training Seraphine. A really interesting revelation mid-way through the book about Seraphine connects the both of them is a way that makes them eventually ally themselves with the Argonauts and their quest to prevent Zeus from completing the orb. Also, I loved the way she finds a way to one up Zeus in the destruction of an artifact that is essential to his nefarious plans and saves Erebus at the same time. Another god on the side of the Argonauts.

I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from the author for voluntary review consideration.

As a huge fan of her Eternal Guardians books, the latest lived up to expectations and then some. It's technically a novella, but it reads like a full length.

Erebus is a minor god, who had been Hades' secret weapon, but Hades lost Erebus in a bet to Zeus. Now Erebus has been training Sirens in the arts of sexual and battle warfare. One of those Sirens was Seraphina (Sera), who enthralled him and one he never forgot.

Zeus sends Erebus to track down a runaway Siren who has failed her last test. Erebus tracks her down, but when he finally catches up to her, he is stunned to discover that it is his Sera. She's more warrior now, but he's never forgotten their one on one nightly sessions. And now that he had her, he wasn't going to let her go.

Sera couldn't believe that it was Erebus that had been sent to bring her back. She's been trying to let go of her feelings for him because their sexual sessions meant more to her than training. Knowing it was just a job to him had hurt her, and she vowed never to let him back into her heart again.

Once Erebus realizes exactly why Zeus wants her back, he knows he can't hand her back over to Zeus, but is he willing to sacrifice himself for her?

I love each book, some more than others (Hellooooo Demetrius!!!). HUNTED ranks pretty high on the list. It is full of action and suspense from the start and will have you locked into the story until the end. Erebus and Sera are sizzling hot together! He's sexy, determined and is willing to give everything in him for Sera. What a hero! Sera is equally strong and determined, and while she fights her attraction to Erebus, ultimately they are meant to be together. But oh the fun of getting there! Their attraction is dominant throughout the story, but even as the ultimate climax approaches, readers will be constantly wondering how it will end! It's a continuation of previous storyline threads, so while it could be read by itself, I wouldn't recommend it. 5 STARS!

Erebus had served the gods all his life,  from Kronos,  to Hades,  and later on,  to Zeus. Under Zeus, he trained Sirens on their Seduction technique and one blonde nymph had captivated him from the start.

Seraphine.

She lost her memories when Zeus picked her to train as one of his Sirens.  But something triggered her memory and she realized the harsh truth about the Olympian.  Something that made her escape his clutches and forego the freedom she'd always wanted to achieve.

But there were consequences that must be met,  decisions that must be made, a body that must be fulfilled and a heart that must be hunted in order for the truth to be revealed .

As expected,  this has been another fantastic read from bestseller Elisabeth Naughton.  This time, a primordial deity takes the center stage as he struggles to fulfill his duties with Zeus and question his loyalty once he realized the truth about the Siren he'd grown to love and implore.  Erebus is such a strong character,  very protective and sincere with his emotions.  Seraphine is one of the stronger heroines I've encountered,  feminine yet lethal,  seductive yet stubborn,  sweet yet strong.

I love how Sera's story being a nymph from Atlantis came about.  I've always been fascinated with stories concerning Atlantis and that back story about her family was impressive.  I love how her true nature was explored and inhibited in the book. I loved the sparkling chemistry between the two. I think this is my favorite among the 1001 Dark Nights/Eternal Guardians series yet.  Naughton never ceases to make my heart delighted and excited!

P.S.

Don't ask me about the erotic hot sexy scenes. This aint' for the faint of heart. Be warned.. and be delighted! Erebus and Sera behind closed doors and in between sheets would put a shame to Fifty Shades.

Let's start off by saying that this is a first time read for us by this author and that we really enjoy our first read by them.

Erebus and Seraphine are in and impossible situation.Erebus is tasked to securing Sera and returning her to Zeus after she flee's.That is going to be a problem for Erebus as they have a past and he has unresolved feeling for her.

What a story it was action packed from beginning to end. There was always something going on you were kind of living on the edge with them. The chemistry between these was amazing and hot as hell.

Sera I found her to sexy ,strong will, smart a surviver and very clever.

Erebus was protective, dangerous, immortal,a god, and sinfully sexy.I loved how he was willing to give up his life to see Sera protected and safe from her enemies.

I loved the story as it was very engaging as we learned a lot about both characters as well as a few very dangerous secrets coming to life.

I loved that Sera was brave enough and strong enough to save both of them .These two
were destined to be together and I am so glad that they found the happiness they both deserved.

I love it when you can connect with the
characters that you read about and I was able to do that with a cast of characters as I loved them from the onset so we already new we were going to love this story. When you are dealing with deities and gods you know your in for one hell of a ride as they are dangerous and lethal and without conscious.

A sexy read with intrigue mystery and love as well as a touch of erotica thrown into the mix with some scorching sex scenes.

We loved this novella are are looking forward to reading other books in this series as well as the authors other works.

I absolutely LOVED Elisabeth Naughton's Hunted!

It is intellectually stimulating, tremendously intriguing, straight up adventurous and a true joy to read! Seraphine and Erebus's mythological love story is an unforgettable breath of fresh air that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you flip the pages until its heart warming conclusion!

I fell in love with both of these characters!!! Erebus is an otherworldly, red-hot sexy God of Darkness and that alone made me damn near lose my senses while I tossed my panties into the wind due to that dirty mouth of his! And Seraphine!!!! She is one of my all time favorite heroines! I adored her bravery, courageous nature and her willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good. You will fall for these characters quickly but you will love them endlessly!

The author does a fabulous job immersing the reader in a world of gods and mortals, light and darkness and myth and prophecy. The writing is immaculate but the storytelling is 100% solid gold. I devoured every word! I am a student of mythology and as such I was totally WOWED by Ms. Naughton's application of the facts surrounding the world of mythology and how she applied them to Sera and Erebus' love story.

Hunted is an absolute must read for all paranormal romance lovers!

Elisabeth Naughton’s HUNTED is a thrilling addition to the Eternal Guardians series. Minor god of darkness, Erebus, has been tasked with hunting down one of Zeus’s Siren warriors. He wasn’t expecting his target to be the nymph who stole his heart, Seraphine. This fantasy romance is suitable for adult audiences.

Elisabeth Naughton continues to do a great job with her character development. Erebus is an interesting god. He is old and been through a lot. He has been used by the gods. I like that he goes after what he wants, and that he is protective of Sera. I like Sera. She is brave and noble. She has a fascinating heritage. Erebus and Sera have great chemistry. I was amused by their conversations.

I enjoyed the plot. There were a lot of mystery and deception. It tied in well with previous stories in the series. At 120-pages, it was a quick read that was easy to get through in one sitting. Eternal Guardians is a great series. I would love to see it turned into a movie or TV series. I’m looking forward to the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Hunted is Hot...

I can not get enough of the Eternal Guardian series, and while I patiently wait for the next full length novel in the series to be released, Elisabeth Naughton brings us a novella that packs quite the punch and has soothed my angst as she introduces two amazing new characters in the world of the Argonauts and Argolea.

Erebus, a minor god, has been around since the dawn of time but has been enslaved, first by Hades, and then Zeus and longs for a life of freedom to determine his own path and follow his heart. Enter Seraphine, Sera, a nymph who has been enslaved by Zeus to serve as one of his Siren warriors. Once the two cross paths the attraction is undeniable and their chemistry together is explosive. Their destinies become intertwined and only together can they escape the chains that bind them. Being a reader that does not care for spoilers, their story is for the reader to discover and I certainly hope you do.

Hunted is fast paced, hot, and ended far too soon. What a wonderful read. It was like coming home to all of my favorite characters with the addition of two more very memorable and lovable individuals. I came to adore Erebus, the god of darkness and his feisty Seraphine. I loved this latest edition to the series and will patiently wait on the next installment to the Eternal Guardian series. Hunted is book number 8.75 in the series and if you have not started the series I certainly recommend starting with Marked, the first book in the series, but it is not necessary to enjoy this lengthy novella.

Last but not least, I received Hunted as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved it. Thank you to the publisher and Elisabeth Naughton for the opportunity. Well done.

Hunted is a short novella that packs a large punch.

Greek Mythology always makes for an excellent story. With deities that resemble humans and who are very relatable, not to mention the sex, scandal, deceit, murder, power, and just about every other juicy topic that I can think of. So needless to say the moment that I realized this book was based on Greek Mythology I was ecstatic.

Erebus has spent many millenniums serving the Gods. He is a God himself but not a Titan. He started off serving as one of Hades most fearless warriors, until Hates lost a bet with Zeus and won Erebus. Now Erebus's main job is teach new trainees on Olympus, this includes training the nymphs. When Zeus sends him to track down a trainee that has fled Olympus the last person that he expects to find is the one nymph that he has not been able to get off of his mind.

Sera has never been able to forget her trainer or the many passionate nights that the spent in bed during her training. She has always had feelings for him, although she is just one of hundreds of nymphs that he has trained. Are her feelings for him the reason why she shows him mercy, knowing that he would capture her if she did?

They will both find out that nothing is how it appears, including things that they believed were important. I loved both of these characters which is a testament to Elisabeth Naughton writing. If you are a fan of steamy, sexy romances mixed with Greek Mythology then this short read is for you

Yes, yes, and yes. Greek Mythology, scandal, and power; if this is on your check list, then this is your next read. Loved the fast pact and wonderful action, this story delivered on the adventure. Nothing was left out because the backstory on the lead characters was great and the chemistry sizzle mean passionate.

I can never get enough cameos in the world of the Argonauts and Argolea.

Whether it's a full length novel,a short novella, or in this case a long novella, Elisabeth Naughton' s Eternal Guardian's series is always amazing and worth the wait while she writes each book and the time you spending delving into the Guardian's world as you read the story. This is book 8.75 in the series. Each book can be read as a standalone and they do each have their own conclusion but I fully recommend reading the series in order from the beginning. The storyline and characters can be difficult to follow if you haven't read the other books. The series follows the lives of the gods of Olympus, the Titans, Hades, humans, minor gods, Argoleans and the Argonauts-the descendants of Hercules.
Erebus, a minor god, has been forced into the service of either Kronos, Hades or Zeus for thousands of years. He was born of chaos and darkness. His latest servitude has been for Zeus. He's one of the trainers for Zeus's Sirens in the art of seduction. When he met Seraphina 18 months ago he was assigned as her seduction trainer. At the time he didn't understand why she was so different than the hundreds of other Sirens he'd trained for Zeus.
Seraphina is one of Zeus's Sirens, his warrior women that he hand picks to train to serve him. Sera didn't realize that her memory (like all Sirens) had been taken from her when she was chosen to become a Siren. When she overheard Athena talking about Atlantis one day it jogged part of her memory. Sera was determined then to regain her missing past.
Hunted is the story about what Sera does when she regains her memory and Erebus is sent to hunt her down and bring her back to Olympus and Zeus. From the first chapter to the very last it's full of action, passion, loyalty, betrayal, heartache, loss, fear, lust, friendship and love. There is something for everyone. I literally couldn't put the book down till I finished it. It will have you on the edge of your seat with suspense and anticipation of what's next. When you've spent a lifetime in servitude without any real freedom, full of betrayal how do you overcome it or learn to trust much less understand the concept of love? Mrs Naughton has done an amazing job of opening herself, her characters and her readers up to the ugliness that can exist and how difficult trust is for a wounded person but also how beautiful life can become with the right people and love in your life. Hunted has everything I expect out of a five star book. Congratulations Mrs Naughton. I can't wait to read the next Eternal Guardian's book. I hope it is set to release soon as this is my absolute favorite paranormal mythological romance series. I received an ARC from the author. This is my voluntary honest review.

“In the long, lonely years of his life, for brief, flickering moments, she’d been a light to his darkness . . . And he wanted that nymph back.”

Erebus
Hunted
Kindle Loc 367 of 2081

Tall, dark and devastating Erebus, a minor god in service to Hades (God of the Underworld), finds himself a pawn in a wager between Hades and Zeus. Zeus wins, of course. Erebus is tasked by Zeus to train Zeus’s Sirens in both martial and sexual arts. Of the hundreds Erebus trains, only one Siren, the flaxen haired Seraphine (Sera), finds a place in his heart. Upon receiving an order from Zeus to hunt down a renegade Siren, a shocked (and delighted) Erebus discovers that his prey is none other than Sera. When she is captured by Erebus, Sera is torn between her own feelings for him, and her secret need to avenge the deaths of her people. Both Erebus and Sera come to acknowledge the undeniable attraction each has for the other, but the cloud of Zeus and his hand in their fate looms large. Their only chance for survival and a future together rests on Erebus and Sera revealing their inner secrets to one another — but can they forge a trust strong enough to defeat all those who hunt them down?

Elisabeth Naughton’s Hunted is offering 8.75 in her popular Eternal Guardians. series, and is brought to us by the good people at 1001 Dark Nights.

A short (133 p.), sizzling read, packed with action and brimming with mythological characters, Hunted will delight fans of the series. The plot is fast paced, and the protagonists are well-written, solid characters. With precision, author Naughton weaves her mythological cast through this story. As Erebus and Sera face obstacle after obstacle, characters from the Eternal Guardian series appropriately appear to move the plot along. Hunted is not what I would consider a stand alone novella — it would benefit the reader to have some knowledge of the Eternal Guardian series. But having said that, Hunted is worth the read, if only to enjoy the magnificence of Erebus, the nobility of Sera, and the searing passion that exists between them.

Kudos to Elisabeth Naughton for another great romance her Eternal Guardian universe.

"Hunted" by Elisabeth Naughton. Book 8.75 in the Eternal Guardians series.

I just finished reading this novella October 23, 2017. This is my review.

What a great addition to the Eternal Guardians series. I really enjoyed this book about Erebus and Seraphine (Sera). These two characters were introduced in book 8 'Awakened' and I'm so glad they got their HEA. You can read this novella as a stand alone but would be enjoyed even more if you are familiar with the whole series and all the characters because a lot of them show up in this novella which is a nice surprise for fans of the series.

Erebus is a primordial god in service to Zeus currently being used as a trainer in the art of seduction for Zeus's Siren army. But Zeus has given him a new mission; find the rogue Siren that failed her training and is on the run, escaping her punishment. When Erebus finally catches the Siren and realizes it's Sera, the Nyphm he trained in seduction over a eighteen months ago, he can't believe it. She's the only trainee that ever made him feel alive and he never forgot her. He can't possibly bring her back to Zeus for punishment. Erebus's sure there's more to her escaping than a failed test and he's determined to find out the truth.

Sera is on the run. She's stolen something from Zeus and is determined to protect it and make sure Zeus never gets it back. The fate of Argolea depends on it. But when she's caught by Erebus, the god she stupidly fell in love with and then was rejected, she can't deny the attraction they still have for each other. If he find out the truth of what she stole, he'll bring her back to Olympus, back to Zeus, who will surely kill her.

Such a good overall story line in this novella. I don't want to give away the plot because that would ruin the story for you. The sexual chemistry between Erebus and Sera is extremely hot. Their attraction to each other burns the pages. The feelings they have for each other are expressed really well. Their doubts about each others motives gives these characters an emotional journey toward their HEA. For a novella, their relationship develops really well. It was great seeing characters from almost all the previous books make an appearance in this novella as well. The overall story line was well thought out and flowed really easily. Lots of action as well as romance. Very well done.

Overall, I really enjoyed this novella and I can't wait to read what comes next in this series. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this story so very much, as with all of Elisabeth Naughton's stories it will leave you wanting for more of her awesome writings.

A god without a place to call his own, his identity shattered, and the one who captured his heart gone. This is how Erebus felt. Little did he know all that he knew will be caught in lies and a tangle web of deceit.

He is ordered by Zeus to hunt her down and back the siren back for failing her test. Little did he know who it was and when he realizes it what will he do now?? Ah Sera, his one and only aphrodisiac, the only one that can bring him to his knees. He remembers her well. He was her seduction trainer, but hmmm maybe she trained him instead??

Now he has to hunt her down and bring her back to Zeus, and that is causing him some angst. Erebus, left hell and but still has darkness in him, it is what he is made of. It's embed in his soul, if he had one, I mean he is a minor god after all. He isn't sure what to do about what he learns from Sera, but now he must act, and will do whatever it takes to keep her.

Seraphine ran away from Olympus, could not stay there any longer, not after what she learned, remembered about her life; and what she had taken when she had left. A nymph with the heat of a female who can bring any man to his knees, but can she persuade Erebus, and convince him she has to keep running? She has only one regret, never telling Erebus how she felt but will she also regret him knowing why she left? Will she be able to give him what he wants what he desires, and still keep what she has took a secret?

It was lovely seeing some of the characters from stories of the past. I love them all.
The author has a way to pull you in her fantasies, of danger, erotic bliss, and heart warming endings.

I have read all of her Eternal books. The first one I read was 'Marked', which is awesome. And I believe you will come to cherish her works as much as I have.
I was given this book in return I volunteered to give a review. Thank you to the publisher and Elisabeth Naughton, for giving me the opportunity to read this awesome novella.

Darkness and light. Greek gods and a stolen medallion that can change the fate of the world. Or, just another day in the world of Elisabeth Naughton’s Eternal Guardian series and book 8.75, Hunted. Another chapter in the prolific 1001 Dark Nights series, this latest novella is filled with sirens and Argonauts and seduction hot enough to burn.

I enjoyed Hunted, the first Eternal Guardians book I’ve read in a long time. Years ago, I’d read the first four, but somehow my TBR pile got so big that I didn’t have much free time to read the rest. Didn’t stop me from thinking about the series and the Greek mythology they’re based on, something I’ve loved since I was a little girl. So, Hunted seemed like a good place to jump back in and I’m glad I did. Just with many of the other 1001 Dark Nights books I’ve read, Hunted is part of a series but can easily be read as a standalone (though you’ll want to go back and catch up with all the sexy Argonauts and kickass women they fall in love with).

Erebus is the god of darkness, Sera a siren trainee with a big secret. Not long ago the two fell in love during Sera’s seduction training on Mount Olympus but were separated. When Sera makes off with something Zeus wants, it’s Erebus that he sends to retrieve it not knowing their history. Big mistake. It doesn’t take long for their shared affection and desire for each other to overwhelm them, making them partners in saving multiple realms from Zeus’s destruction.

Hunted has a nice balance of romance and action. Erebus, given the chance at love after an eternity of enslavement by the sons of Kronos, is delightful in his uncertainty as he fights the unfamiliar feeling of love and the desire to protect Sera. Sera knows she loves Erebus, but no longer trusts him after he sent her away after her training. The moment she realizes she can trust him is powerful (and might have brought on a tear or two). And, I remembered Nick from my early days of reading the Eternal Guardians and loved his cameo!

4 stars for Hunted. Heat level: 3.5

I received Hunted from InkSlinger PR and the author in exchange for honest feedback.

"I am not the one you have to fear. I’m the one who’s going to save you.”

I love the Eternal Guardians series and I am always looking forward to new additions to it. Hunted was a wonderful return to that world that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Erebus has spent the last hundred or so years training Zeus's Sirens, and while he is a god of darkness, he is happy to be away from the misery and torture of the Underworld. 18 months ago a Siren recruit rocked his world in a way he never experienced but when her training came to an end he was forced to let her move on.

Sera fell hard for the god during their time together but she was infuriated when he cast her aside as if she meant nothing. Now she is in a dangerous position. Her memories have come back to her and she is in possession of knowledge Zeus will kill to keep quiet, so she runs hard and fast.

When Erebus is sent to catch her, he has no idea Sera is the runaway Siren recruit he is tracking. When he does find her, let the games begin! She is still angry with him and cannot trust that he won't immediately return her to Olympus if he discovers the real reason she ran or the secret she is hiding. He still wants her more than ever but if she can't trust him he can't keep her safe. Frustrationand sexual tension run high, but she is easily a match for him in that department. She calls him her dirty sexy god for good reason! Sera has a fiery temper and spine of steel, and as Erebus discovers, she is the light that is the counter to his darkness in a way he never anticipated when their true origins are revealed. It takes some convincing to show her his desire to keep her safe is not proof of her weakness in his eyes but rather a desire to keep her forever, but he is certainly up to the task - innuendo intended!

Of course we get more of the Argonauts, a little Hades, and some familiar faces from past stories like Nick, Elysia and Prometheus that I loved. All in all, I devoured Hunted and will be eagerly awaiting more of the Eternal Guardians!

Erebus is the trainer of Siren under Zeus command, after his previous owner Hades lost a bet and him to the Olympian God. He is told to return a siren after she fails her last test and decides to run. Seraphine is a siren, deadly and beautiful. Sera found out the truth of her forgotten past and now wants nothing but to escape Zeus.

Sera and Erebus share a past, he was her trainer, teaching her the art of seduction. Erebus had trained a lot of siren but none had got to her like Sera, he had a connection with her. Sera on the other had fallen in love with him.

I really liked Erebus, he had beig a possession of gods since they destroyed his family and now is passed from one god to another to serve in one way or another. After he realises the truth about why Sera had left, he wants nothing more than protect her. I liked Sera and Erebus together, they certainly had chemistry and a connection and I loved how Erebus loved her. They plot was also interesting, since Zeus wants to find the water orb and so do the argnouts.

The only reason why I didn’t give the book a higher rating was because Sera’s doubting Erebus, it was like your saying you love him but even after she knew the truth about his past, she still doubted him. All that did was made me feel more Erebus but she came through in the end.

Overall, a fairly good novella and I’m looking forward to see what Elisabeth does next now that they key is hopefully gone.

ARC was generously provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Erebus is on the hunt. Seraphine “Sera” doesn’t want to do what she’s been trained to do. But she certainly knows how to take care of herself. These two have a history together but it doesn’t look like the heat has diminished in any way even after some time apart.

If you’re a lover of Mythology, than you just may love this spin. It’s a story that shows how opposites truly can attract. But that never seems to stop people from fighting was seems inevitable. Loved taking a Mythology class back in high school but this story kicked that love up another notch. Puts an interesting spin on the gods that I found interesting. And in some ways it’s modernized. I guess you never know whom your walking by on the street. Loved the twist of where Sera seems to get one over on Erebus and one of the gods.

The one thing that I found hard to believe was that this story was considered a novella. It certainly didn’t read that way. The speed didn’t seem to fast and none of the scenes seemed drawn out. For me, novellas seem to be teaser of what is to come. It leaves you looking forward to the next story in the series. You won’t feel as if you’re missing anything if you haven’t read any of the previous books. There are characters here that have had previous books so at some point in order to know more about them you may want to check out their story.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Hunted: An Eternal Guardians Novella Review – 4.5 Stars – Hunted will leave you captured and wanting more!

Elizabeth Naughton’s, Hunted: An Eternal Guardians Novella is the latest installment in the 1001 Dark Nights as well as her Eternal Guardian series and yet again she does not disappoint. The story revolves around Erebus, a dark immortal (minor god) that has spent his life in servitude to one God or other – primarily serving Zeus. One of his duties includes the training of Zeus’s elite female warriors, the Sirens, in the seduction arts and it is there where Erebus first meets Seraphine.

Seraphine fell captive to Erebus’s charms and seductions during her training and as time went by she believed that she was inconsequential to him. They meet again as Erebus us tasked to track her and bring her back for Zeus’s punishment for leaving the Sirens. It is during this ‘hunt’ and ‘capture’ that the main character’s feelings come to the surface and emotions are stripped bare (and of course between the sheets as well).

Hunted is a novella, yet the storyline is excellently crafted with fully developed characters that are complex and engaging and continually draw the reader in. As with Elisabeth’s other works, the chemistry between the lead characters starts smoldering and becomes blistering hot! This is another excellent addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next installment in this outstanding series. An absolute must read!!!

This is the story of Erebus, a minor god and the slave of Zeus, and Seraphina, a siren. Erebus serves as a trainer to the sirens in the art of seduction. When he met Seraphina, he immediately felt a bond with her. Interestingly enough Seraphina, actually fell in love with him. When her training was done, he had to move on to the next group of sirens, and she had to finish her training. These emotions had long-ranging effects on them since both of them seemed to have experienced this unusual bond.

As time passed, Zeus instructs Erebus to hunt for a missing siren. He says she had failed most of her tests and had run away. Erebus must return her to Zeus. During this hunt, Erebus finds out that the missing siren is Seraphina, and he decides to keep her for himself instead of returning her to Zeus.

When Zeus chooses sirens he has their memories erased so they don’t know who they are. However, Seraphina has finds out who she is and decides she must leave Olympus and to the human realm. She manages to convince Erebus to join her.

You must read this novella because, in spite of the length, this story is intriguing and electrifying. Once, I started reading, I could not put the book down until I was done.

I recommend this book even if you haven’t read the books before. There is enough background information to make it easy to understand what you missed.

She has done it again! Another amazing edition to the Eternal Guardians series. Although it is a novella, it is a little longer and is just amazing! This is the amazingly hot story of Erebus and Sera.

Erebus is minor God who was Hades secret weapon to wield at well until he is lost to Zeus. Still captive, still a pawn in the game of the gods, Erebus is theirs to command. He dreams of freedom, of being able to make his own choices. But that is never going to happen when he is a slave to Zeus. He is in charge of training the Sirens, and is drawn to one in particular, Sera. He wants her with a passion that defies all reason

Sera is a nymph and one of Zeus's captives, he wants to make her one of his Sirens. When Sera fails the final Siren test, she is marked by Zeus for death. Her only choice is to escapes to the human realm, and get as far away from Zeus as possible.

When Zeus sends Erebus after Sera to find her and kill her, this might just be the shot at freedom that he has so long dreamed of. He will do whatever it takes to free himself and keep Sera safe, make her his.

What makes this story so amazing is that we get to see the other characters from other stories, the battle between the gods and the argonauts continues, and the fates are there to help were they can. Another amazing addition to a wonderful series.

Hunted: An Eternal Guardians Novella (Kindle Edition)
Hunted: An Eternal Guardians Novella is another great addition to The Eternal Guardians series. In this story, Erebus is a dark immortal-- a minor god-- in service to Hades. Hades lost Erebus to Zeus in a bet and Zeus puts him to work training his Siren warriors. One novice in training entranced him during their steamy seduction sessions. It is this particular Siren that Zeus commands him to hunt down and return her to Olympus. At the time the order is given Erebus doesn't know the identity of the Siren.

Seraphine fell hard for Erebus during her seduction training yet she believed that she was nothing special to him. She escapes from Olympus into the human realm with Erebus hot on her heels. When she is captured she escapes, gets injured and is saved by Erebus. Their little adventure lead them to Argolea, the realm of the Eternal Guardians.

In between the hunt and capture, Sera and Erebus have a few hot hook ups that set the pages on fire. This was one sexy and erotic read. As always, Elisabeth Naughton has written a thrilling retelling of the Greek Gods myths and I loved it.

Sexy, dangerous and darkly handsome in ways to ignite passion in even the most uptight, straight-laced, missionary position only types into try something a little on the wild side, Erebus has choices to make.

He has been traded to Zeus as payment for a lost bet and can continue to work for him, or he can go back to Hades. Or, he can take door number three. Defy the Gods and run off with the only woman who has ever brought joy and light into his life, Seraphine. Naughton has done a good job, within a short period of time to bring us into her world of Eternal Guardians where not everyone is who and what the profess to be, or what you thought they would be.

The sex is amazingly hot. As is the connection between the two lovers. There was a couple of twists at the end which made me do a "Hmm.." and an "Oh!" Main characters are well developed and in some respect, for those who have already immersed themselves in the Eternal Guardian World, so are secondary characters. At one point I said quit running already, but did like the play on her own actions at the end.

Great job and a must read for all fans of Elisabeth Naughton, past, present and future.
