I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.

What a strangely entertaining story this was! It started off with a dark comedy kind of tone and featured two oddball characters who never seemed to leave one another's presence. While I liked the premise of this story, I needed more character depth all around and there were too many loose ends to count before getting to that ending. I liked pieces of this story, but didn't exactly love it. By the end of the story, Winter still seemed like a one dimensional character, though Bones and Reginald were highly amusing. Bones' intelligence, darkish nature, calculating thoughts, and lewd words were especially entertaining to read. Also, there were some noticeable but minor editing issues scattered throughout the text--no big deal. I assume some of the unanswered questions from this story will be addressed in books two and three. Overall, an okay story.

Sooooo... this was good enough to keep me reading (tho I skipped some parts) and I will keep reading book 2 as well.

It's KU, so I'm more willing to keep trying.

The good: it's got an interesting plot - grave keeper, 37 years old, split personality who used to "snuff." Meets prostitute who is trying to punish herself seeking a sadist for pimping her younger bro out (who died) for a high.

End plot.

The 2 stars off are for the sometimes disjointed (split personalities notwithstanding) writing and also the typos everywhere. Between the 2 I find myself having to re-re-re read parts to understand what's being said. Something I don't enjoy. I only like to reread if it's actually worth rereading!

But, bc the plot is interesting and hasn't totally worn on me yet, I will continue to book 2.

And FYI I like Bones better than Reginald, who is really too tame, wuss.

First, let me be perfectly clear. While God was passing out patience? I was over in the Boot and Handbag aisle...so me waiting for the next part of this story for more than the 40 minutes that's passed since I finished the first part is NOT working for me.
I need the rest of the story NOW!

My message to LB....
You are the one and only, TRUE Mad Hatter ain't cha? You are not Alice when she's looking through the glass. You're not even what she SEES through the glass.
You.
Are.
The.
Glass.

5+++++++ stars for another homer! This book has a million shades of every genre. Such a mind fucking ride of suspense, drama, humor, thrills, chills, mystery and did I mention that LB flare for mind blowing 'gotta have it that way now please and thank you' sex? This book lacks nothing as far as my taste goes, other than it was too damn short lol

At this moment I feel like Ms. Winter...

But...is there really only ONE man to see? Just when I thought I had it all figured out, and where I was headed, I got thrown hard and far. My heads spinning with mass confusion. And when the last line in the story was read? My heart hammered out of my chest. I'm so into...them. Him.

That being said, I also want to share why this at first was a harder read for me, through no ones fault but my own.

I was on the edge the entire time...teetering between trying to fall into my enjoyment of this world and the distraction of how I watched LB create it. I was seeing the things that he so graciously incorporated from his fans...which I allowed to distract me so much I found myself actually LOOKING for those items lol

See, I came late to the Bane party. I only just recently discovered him. And came into this particular stories playground at the tail end & then had to back peddled to catch up and join in on all the fun the fans were having with him on social media. And let me tell you, it was hella fun. More than I've ever had waiting for a new release. The fans and staff are great but it's his signature style of the long, drawn out tease that gets me every time so it was really great for us to have that interaction with him.
(Man, his wife is way lucky yeah?)

It was such an exciting concept to see, him doing this for and with his fans. The ultimate sales/marketing gimmick for sure; the mans a genius...but
I could not get 10O% engrossed in this magical twisted world at first, because of the dialogue it had generated in my own head.
Made me absolutely C R A Z Y

Then a quarter way through the story, I started sensing a pivotal moment was coming, so I needed to get it together so I didn't miss anything. I'd spent most of the read thus far...re-reading.... so it was going too slow and not flowing smoothly for me at all.

Then I clearly saw the many shifts within Bones himself, that had already taken place, and that his darkness had actually gifted him knowledge! The type of deep rooted, PAINFUL, GUT WRENCHING, truthful knowledge that most humans don't go anywhere near in their lifetime. I knew as he unleashed it, it'll lead to someone's salvation & our eventual heartbreak. On his shoulders alone, he's chosen to take on the full weight of the past, present and future, that belongs to them all. Hers. Reggie's. His very own.

Needless to say I shut up my annoying as fuck inner dialogue from commenting, pointing things out and questioning. Which is sort of ironic...since there's a lot of that already going on IN this story as it is, so it was four times as loud in my head. Now that it's over?

And I now have a new definitive definition that encapsulates Unconditional Love...

"Not just protect and defend. You go to war for the King. You don’t sit and wait for the attack, the attack is imminent. You strike first with lethal intention and you devastate them with hell’s fury before they ever step foot on your King’s land. That’s how you protect.” ~Bones

Thanks LB! So, um...now I guess I'll just be over there...you know...um, just...waiting...

MUST READ THIS BOOK. ABSOLUTELY MORE THAN 5 STARS.
Reggie and Bones, one Body two man. One women Winter rose.
Reginald and Bones are like the angel and devil that . Reginald the Relaxed balanced men, Bones the aggressive and stormy.
Winter rose (cinnamon), I love her, A figure that seems desperate and on the other hand strong, the yin or the yang for Reginald and Bones, Their salvation.
“She’s the answer, Reggie,” he said simply, like he’d pondered it for years and had confirmation straight from the mouth of God. “She’s the key into that lock, I can feel it,” Bones hissed, jabbing a finger at his chest. “She’s going to bust it all wide open.”
This is genius at work, how Lucian Bane's writing that characters, the interaction between the two characters, or situations that really got confused for a moment, because this is a single body with two people.

I have read many books and I have read every book by this author but this was unlike anything I have experienced before. A wonderful twist and turn mind encompassing read. The exceptional fluidity even while experiencing dual characters was amazingly written. The contrast will have you fighting your mind in determining good and bad, right and wrong.
The banter between Bones and Reginald will make you forget the truth of their situation. As different as night and day. They will also have you wanting Reginald to experience the things he has been unable to but at the same time an understanding of Bones will have you feeling for him as well. This unique battle between these very unique characters is what I loved the most about this story.
The mix gets muddy when you bring in the other character. Her character a brilliant counter to both Reginald and Bones. One that feeds to both extremes.
Delivered in only a way that this author can the words will be like air and you will be chasing your next breath. I can't wait to watch as the dynamic of the characters develops as we learn more of the how and why. This is definitely a book you don't want to miss.

If you are looking for dark, dirty, erotic, suspenseful, thrilling and jaw dropping, look no further than Lucian Banes's latest creation.

This is the brilliantly told story of the life of Reginald Bones, a graveyard owner and digger. Reginald Bones is not your average working class guy. Yeah, he drives a beat up pick up and keeps to his mostly reclusive lifestyle. But underneath it all there are secrets and skeletons buried deep in Bones' closet.

It is not the typical erotic thriller. There are twists, and turns that will leave you speechless and breathless. Many questions evolve about the life of Reginald Bones, what are his likes and dislikes? What kind of relationships does he have? Why does he keep to himself?

This book is a serious page turner and the ending will leave you screaming for more! Not to be missed!!!

All I can say is WOW!!! I was a little unsure in the very beginning but that quickly changed. I loved this book. I can't decide if I like Reginald or Bones better. Reginald is the sweet, "boring" one and Bones is the dark and twisty one. Each there for each other for a specific reason although that reason has yet to be revealed. And of course there is girl, Winter. On a path of self destruction, Winter is seeking a sadist who will punish and ultimately kill her. She cannot live with her guilt any longer. Will Bones or Reginald be the one to free her? Can't wait to read the next one.

Bones will fracture your heart...and Reggie will hold the pieces together

Oh wow. Not often am i at such a loss for words after finishing a book and nothing i could say could possibly get anywhere close to doing it justice, but i shall try.
Bones is one of those books that will grab you from the first paragraph and not release it's tentacles until the very last word! It would suddenly become that your only life's mission is solely based on finishing this intriguing masterpiece! Although i absolutely LOVED the premise for this journey, i must admit that at first i had my doubts. Not only must we, the reader, reach the capacity to imagine these two complex individuals but we also must become emotionally invested in understanding them as their own divided entities. Not only has Bane masterfully accomplished this, but he manages to make us hopelessly devoted to them both! I am totally Sandra Dee all OVER these two!! What at one point seemed nearly impossible, flows smoothly into an adventure that your rational brain can quite certainly comprehend and even grow to love! To quote the book; (it will) blow your mind because it’s that crazy good. The kind of crazy that’s actually brilliant.
Reggie and Bones. Night and Day. Good and Evil. Compassionate and Cantankerous. But like that old Married With Children theme goes, "You can't have one without the other!" ( Now try getting that out of your head! I'm still humming it!)
And then along comes Winter! Winter, Winter, Winter. While this girl certainly comes with enough of her own heavy baggage and has most definitely done her own fair share of deeds after getting handed a sh*tstick from life, she seems to retain this softness and a bewildering innocence. Her sides soon fly headfirst into his sides and it becomes a beautiful marriage of personalities ( pun intended) that simply could not have worked any other way!
The only 'negative ' , if you wanna call it that, thing i could say is that eventually we find ourselves at the all tpo often dreaded cliffhanger. But let me be the one to convince you why this is good! Quite simply, there is just too much story for one book to do these awesome characters justice! Their story is now one that demands to be told in the most befitting way possible. There are too many nooks and crannies left to explore in the crazy minds of Reggie and Bones! Too many more pot shot wise cracks left to fall from those beautiful mouths...er...mouth!
While this is certainly not my first Bane read, i ALWAYS find myself thinking, "There is no way he can now outdue himself!" And then months later i find myself lost in another one of his twisted tales and down the rabbihole we go again , Dear Alicia! I love and admire Bane not only for his outstanding unconformity (is that a word?) but the fact that he's not a pansy in broaching those taboo backdrops we all have or know of but all too often remain silent about. Suicide. Poverty. Religious cults. Mental illness. He has embraced them all in one or another of his writings. His characters are flowed. They don't look perfect. They don't act petfect . And they most certainly do NOT think perfect.
But i really have to say, that's just what makes me love them all the more.
So, stop reading my ridiculously unsuparlative review, get those earworms outta your head and go click this bit! Reggie says you wont be sorry! Bones says maybe you will! ;-)

Favorite Quotes:

Without specifics, Reginald had one main directive. Protect the world from Bones. Make him look normal. Hide him. It was like being called to an emergency without being told what the emergency was.

I seem to have been fated to be in the death business… If I’m not ending a life, I’m putting the ended ones in the ground.

You just topped off that coo-coo cake with little sprinkles of insanity.

My Review:

Reginald Bones was initially quite confusing until I caught on to Mr. Bane’s clever form of stylized writing, then a mist of creepiness wafted in which was later followed by an antsy and prickly awareness and sensations of snakes in my intestines. However, even with the full awareness that the further I delved into this twisted tale that the odds were sharply in favor of an even deeper darkness lurking; the narrative was so fiercely compelling and intriguing that I could not stop reading. Damn, could there be something wrong with me?!?

I postulate that the illustrious Lucian Bane must wield a magical pen as his words conjured a Siren’s call - which effectively, and repeatedly, lured me to the rocks. I was fascinated, captivated, and mesmerized by how these weirdly irresistible yet deeply disturbed individuals meshed, and I could not read fast enough. The constant bickering was at times comical and at other times chicken-skin chilling. Have no doubt, Bones is a sadistic psychopath, and not your run of the mill one either. Bones is extra special and bumps it up a few levels. Yet he cares deeply for Reginald and endeavors to protect him. Reginald is actually rather sweet and is essentially Bones’ Jiminy Cricket, although he also naively and fearfully aids and abets. Reggie does get a few licks in here and there, my favorite being with his choice of Red Hots, a candy despised by Bones – I just loved that. Those unexpected and quirky little details take an interesting plot and weave it into a well-crafted story. Well played, Mr. Bane!

I haven't read any other Lucian Bane books, so I really didn't know what to expect. And in some ways (all of them good) I'm still not sure what I DID read.

I know it was good. Very, very good. Amazingly good.

I know it had me gripped to the point of taking my kindle to everywhere (yep even the smallest room) to keep reading it.

I know on paper it shouldn't have worked, the idea is too fantastical and strange, but it not only worked but it was an awe inspiring read.

I know I've never read anything quite like this before but can't wait for book 2.

I know (now) that Lucian Bane is a master spinner of tales, well versed in the art of creating characters so alive on the page that you can hear them breathing. That his mind is a wondrous hub of creativity to have produced the characters of Reggie, Bones and Winter.

I know that there is no way I can possibly write a review to express just how much you need to read this book.

This is the first book I have read from this author, and it won't be the last. It is a very intriguing book with a struggle between 1 person with 2 personalities. I say to my fellow readers start clicking this book is not to be missed and we all wait with baited breath until the next instalment. Well done Mr Lucian Bane. A 5 star read.

YOU WILL GET BURIED IN THIS UNFORGETTABLE STORY

Whenever Lucian Bane writes a story, I always know I'm in for an incredible reading experience. But this book, this remarkable book, demonstrates that he is at the pinnacle of his creativity. Get ready to suspend what you know is possible and enter the world of Reginald and Bones. It's not a fantasy, nor is it science fiction. It is the story of two men sharing one body in the most bizarre, but believable way. I know, it seems pretty strange, but you quickly get so involved in their story that you stop looking for those little catches that make you doubt and you let your heart and mind accept them as two very different personalities sharing one body. Lucian's masterful storytelling draws you in and you are lost in his spell.

So, what is it that is so captivating about this book? First, the banter between Reggie and Bones is absolutely golden! The conversations they have with each other can make you laugh until your sides hurt and cry until your heart hurts. Just picture two guys talking about a girl that one guy is falling for and the other guy hates. Now put those two guys, who are as different as night and day, in one body and give each of them a bit of Bane wit and sarcasm. So now you get the picture.

Next, this storyline is so very creative and unique. I can't compare it to anything I've ever read and that freshness was part of what kept my interest peaked through the whole book. I love the unpredictability and new directions that Lucian has plotted into the story.
Lastly, even though the writing is inventive and the characters are 'unusual', I still felt emotionally attached to them. As a reader, I want and need those connections that make me FEEL what the characters are experiencing, the love and hate, the passion and the detachment, and simple happiness and sadness. Reginald Bones gave me all of that and a plate of spicy, hot deliciousness on the side.
This is one of those books that you wish you could give more than five stars to. Thank you, Lucian Bane, for once again giving us another piece of your amazing heart and soul!

This is a really hard review for me to write, because for the first time ever I am not sure how to write this review. I would say this is a 3.5 star read because I was able to finish because things picked up in the last 1/4 of the book. The book is well-written and the character development was fine but personally I just had a real hard time connecting to this book. And it is not because of how it was written or anything it just was a book that I don't think was for me. I had a very hard time staying focused on the first like 70% of the book, but I really was able to connect with the last 30% of the book only to find that it is a "to be continued" book. But I am told that book 2 is set for release in like a month so that's not to bad! I haven't decided if I will give book 2 a chance yet or not but most likely I will because I will wonder about it otherwise. I most definitely will read more by this author and may even go back and re-read this book because I'm not sure if it's me that's just off or if it's something about the book. Because as I stated above, I feel the book is written well enough, I just was unable to connect, but it bugs me because I have no explanation as to why.

What a twisted tale you weave Lucian Bane, and I loved reading every bit of it!
Bones is a dark and tortured soul with secrets. Reggie is the light, wanting only to save Bones and experience life. The interaction between these two very different and unique characters, was at times funny and sometimes harsh. The way Lucian brings the characters to life, I feel like I am right there with them. Then Winter comes into the story, tortured by her own demons and past. She cranks up the heat and begins to unravel Bones and Reggies tightly wound world. It's all new to Reggie, wanting a woman, and want her he does. Bones is disgusted and confused by her and despite his best efforts to dismiss her, he is drawn to her. I don't know what fate has in store for all of them, but I can't wait to find out. Reggie and Bones, will one win out over the other or will they continue to exist together? I don't want to see either of them go. Will Winter save them and herself or cause more grief to all of them?
This book will take you on an incredible ride, full of twists and turns. It's gripping and gritty, with just the right amount of raw, sexy, smoldering scenes. I need more, book two can't come soon enough!

Are you up for a wild ride? How about a mind bend? If you are, then this is the book for you.

Reginald and Bones are two polar opposites. Reginald the logical, rational brother. Bones the angry, sarcastic brother. Despite their differences they work well together. Good thing since they share a body.

Lucian Bane's Reginald Bones is a keep you on your toes, psychological roller coaster. As you turn each page you will get sucked deeper and deeper into the twisted mind of these characters. Lucian deftly layers on the complexity of Reggie and Bones' relationship, doling out bits of each of their personalities until the picture becomes clearer, though not complete.

Enter Winter. The heroine of this story is a puzzle. She gains the notice of Reginald while she visits the grave of her deceased brother. The story takes an interesting and harrowing turn as she becomes the center of Reginald and Bones' little world. Will she be Reginald's savior or Bones' victim? Bane rachets the tension tightly as these three come together and Winter's motivations are brought to light.

This is one of Lucian's best offerings. A definite not to be missed book.

An incredible twist of the mind. I read the words and saw Reg standing next to a fresh grave arguing with himself. The same is true for the rest of the book, as an author myself, that is what I strive for. To have my readers so engrossed they're actually part of the story. Lucian, as always you've done it. An incredible book with all the dimension that is Lucian Bane!

Dear Heavens.

*jumps into an ice bath*

How could I have not picked up anything from this author?

The ease of his writing to the banter in the book kept me glued to the pages. I went to sleep thinking about this book, I woke up finishing this book before I even got out of bed. This has shot up to one of my top reads for the year (and yes, I do know I haven't read much this year. That isn't the point).

I haven't been this invested in a story in a while. The way the author perfectly executes the scenes and the ... fights. I was laughing so hard in some moments my children were looking at me strangely.

I purposely even went back and reread certain paragraphs so I didn't miss any detail. Lord have mercy...when I say there is a difference between how a man writes *ahem* certain things and a woman?

I AIN'T LYING. This thing had me wanting to shuck my phone against the wall with how hard I was blushing. DEAR HEAVENS.

....and at the same time... makes me crawl again and again for more.

I will be binging this entire series when I have the chance. I think I found my BOOK HUSBAND.

Lucian Bane is an author to watch out for. I will most likely be putting ALL his books on my TBR. (RIP to my writing career. I'll be lost in a reading cave now).

*I rank this book 10 stars and dove grey on my darkness scale*

PHENOMENAL ONCE AGAIN MR BANE

Reviewed for Reading Is Our Satisfaction Blog.

The first book that I read by Lucian Bane was Dom Wars, since then I have continued to follow his scribblings and read every other book he has penned. His words, descriptions and characters just drag you into the story and keep you there. You don't want to fnd an escape, you want to remain in the world that he creates and just soak it all up. Reginald Bones is another one of those superb masterpieces that he throws out there for his readers to immerse themselves in. Not only does he spin his web like a spider, but he traps you in it, until he is ready to let you go.

Reginald Bones was unlike any story that I have ever read. A masterful web of mystery, intrigue and psychological twisting. This is the story of Reggie and Bones, two men sharing the one body, for a reason yet to be determined. I only know that when Lucian does reveal all, it is going to be one almighty mind twisting reason. The fact that they share one body is rather bizarre, but it works - at times you completely forget this important fact of the story. There are definite differences between the two, once you comprehend what is actually going on, you realise that they are two completely different sides of the one man. A man, who is struggling with life in such a way, that any psychiatrist/psychologist would just love to study.

The one thing that Lucian does brilliantly is the conversations that Reggie and Bones have with each other - you would swear on a bible that they are two men carrying on a typical "man chat". There were times that I simply had to put my book down so that I could finish laughing - it was that good. The one liners, the wit and all the sarcasm are definitely traits that Lucian has and he has brought these out in Reggie and Bones. In a word - the man is a genius. Oh, and who can forget the shower scene - that will always remain a classic in my eyes - hot and very very pantie melting - Lucian certainly knows how to bring a HOT scene into the mix!

But there is a third character to this story. Winter Rose Brown. A young woman living with heart wrenching guilt over the death of her brother, Sebastian. Atonement is what she is looking for and what she hopes to find through the "brothers", but she might just get more than she bargained for. Quite ironic really, when Reginald falls in love her and Bones hates the very sight of her - this leads to some very interesting interactions.

In his own inexplicable way, Lucian has given his readers a thrilling suspense story that will keep them on the edge of their seats. From a graveyard to a basement, the ride is beyond belief. Never have I read a book like this before and I expect, that when the series is over I never will again. It is totally insane just how magnificent this story is - one man, two minds, one woman - both loved and hated at the same time. It is amazing just how Lucian's imagination works.

Brilliant introduction to a psychologically thrilling series that will have you wanting to read it over and over again. The more you read it, the more you begin to understand just how much of a complex story it really is. Now all that's left to do is wait for Part Two. Thank you Lucian for the best book that I have had the pleasure of reading during 2016.

If only I could give it more than a FIVE STAR rating.

The idea of this story is so good. I love dark and dingy plots with a side of multiple personalities. Who doesn't?

However, it failed to keep me engaged. I feel like the 'romance' part kind of ruined it for me. And although it was hilarious to watch the 'switch' between Bones and Reginald, it wasn't enough.

Holy Mind Screw

This book is like nothing I've ever read before. Lucian Bane you've hit it out of the ball park with this one. Reginald Bones takes you on a journey through a dark twisted mind filled with the dual personalities of Bones & Reginald. This first installment lets you see how concrete the relationship of the personalities is. They may be one body but you can seriously relate to both of them and find yourself wanting them to both be a real person. The dual identities are so believable that I wonder how Lucian was/is able to keep them separate when writing this story. The character development is amazing. He has created two completely individual personalities that have their own likes/dislikes but they each protect the other from what frightens them. They may inhabit one body but they each have their own tone of voice, facial expressions, etc...just superbly done!

We have no idea why Bones called Reggie when he did roughly 10yrs ago however Bones hints that it's something bad and he needs Reggie to keep him "normal". I'm not sure the relationship between the two could be considered normal as they inhabit one body. I found myself laughing out loud at times as the two argued over various things just like brothers would. The physical restraining/fighting of each other was crafted believably. I also loved how they comforted each other in times of need. They are both strong and both are very real.

What inevitability creates dissension between the two is a woman...Winter. Of course Reggie is smitten at first view and Bones being a woman hater wants no part in anything to do with her. Go figure. What sets out to be a "fishing" expedition to learn more about her quickly turns in to fight to have her between the two. But to what end. We will have to wait to find out as Lucian does what he's best at ~ a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers just when it's getting good.

I'm finding myself rooting for both Reginald and Bones but not sure how that is possible. They both deserve love and happiness and I can't wait to see how Mr. Bane handles the impossible in my mind. Another great read and the reason why he will always be on my buy now list.

Reginald Bones Part One by Lucian Bane

Words elude me when it comes to the latest book from Lucian Bane. This is the first book I have read from Lucian and frankly I had to take my time while reading it. For the first few chapters I was totally lost and questioned if I was going to be able to finish the book. Once I got my head straight with what I was reading the story moved along at a steady pace.

The psychological nature of this book had me trying to figure out what was really going on from the very first chapter. As you progress through the book you theorize what is really happening with Bones and Reginald. Is it a split personality? Did Reginald Bones split himself into light and dark trying to preserve and protect the goodness within himself? All excellent questions and we do not find out in this installment of the story.

Let’s throw a wrinkle into this mix and introduce Winter Rose Brown. She is a prostitute who has her own agenda when she meets our main characters. Winter adds a level of complexity to an already mind bending story that forced this reader to be an active reader by using my brain to think through all of the possibilities of what is going to happen next versus the predictability the typical story and mindlessly reading. Her need to be careless and self-destructive behavior is so fitting in this story and makes you shake your head. Will she help Bones? Can she save Reginald? Can she make him whole? How is she going to deal with her own demons? So many questions and not many answers….argh!!!!!

I’m not going to sugar coats this and say there is a HEA or closure at the end of this story because there isn’t. What it does have is the immediate need to read the rest of the story. I got to the end and just about screamed, that can’t be the end.

If you are looking for a mind bending read that will have you thinking, then this is the book for you. I highly recommend this dark romance book and eagerly await the next installment.

Reginald and Bones are brothers that are very, very close. They are hardworking loners who inherit the family graveyard. They are smart, logical, sweet and a bit jaded. For the last five years, they have tended to the graveyard, not venturing out or having much interaction with the outside world until She arrives! This fast-moving story worried me in places and I was totally in love at other times. The story is twisty and fast taking your breath away. I love the banter between brothers and the opinions they have. The author always makes you think you are part of the story. Facing each situation with the characters you have come to love. Even if the dark story is not your usual reading type. I have come to trust the author to make sure I am not left spinning, waging war against myself by giving us strong characters that can handle all of it and winning our support, appreciation and love for these embattled characters. The characters are lovable and leaving you wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book! This is one ride I never imagined I'd stay on let alone enjoy the twist and turns, the curves and death defying drops!!!! Mr. Bane is a masterful story teller. His humor, heart and love for his characters shines through and as a reader you become as attached to the characters as Mr. Bane is. Reginald Bones, Book 1 is the Best book I have read this year and I am anxiously awaiting the 2nd and 3rd installment.

Ok, I was looking around Facebook and saw this book and decided that it looked right up alley. Just reading the short description you know it's going to be different.

I can't go into detail because it will ruin it but I loved both the heroes. They were different but at the same time they balanced each other out. I'm still not sure what is going on there but I am hooked.

Winter is the heroine..... in a way. She has her own messed up past and it's messed her up pretty bad, but she has a strength that's different and sad, but strong.

The plot..... we get to know all three of these characters and they are all soooo different. Bones is mean, and dark while Reggie is sweet and light. Winter is a mix of both but I'm not sure which is going to win. This first book is mainly about getting a feel for each of the characters and the dynamic of what's going to come.

Side note: this isn't your fluffy romance novel, this is pretty raw and dark.

Overall, for being a spur of the moment read, I'm very shocked at how much I enjoyed it. It was a little confusing at some points but the more I read the more it became clear what was going on how you can get into the dynamic of bones and Reggie. I'm diving into the second book because I have to know what's going to happen! 4.5 stars #2OCCJD

What an amazing story of 2 souls fighting to each live their own lives. Only issue is they can't live without each other. Two minds, one body. One light, One dark. One heaven, one hell. Bones is dark and twisted. He absolutely hates women. He has called Reginald to save him from the darkness that continues to flood his mind. Reggie is full of light and he is extremely optimistic. He just wants to help Bones be happy. They both have this incredible urge to take care of one another. Reggie wants to experience life like anyone else. He wants to be able to get out of the graveyard. One day while cleaning up he sees Winter. As far as he knows his life has just started and Bones is going to fight it every step of the way. How these 2 souls manage as well as they do is epic. Both are experiencing things they never have. Winter is at the breaking point of choosing life or death. But what will her choice be? You need to get your hands on this book! I must say DAMN!! Lucian really took my brain and emotions on a thrill ride of nail biting and shaking my head because I was starting to split my brain in half. That CLIFFY!! Damn man you really are trying to kill me! This is another one to add to my all time favorites that will forever be embedded in my soul.

This book is by far the best and most different of Lucian's writing. A complete world wind. I don't even know how to express, what's going on in my mind right now. I feel like I won't do this book the proper justice it deserves. That's what this book does to me. I'll just tell you how I felt, while reading it. FUUUUUUUUNY!! So so funny. I was laughing so hard, I was crying. Very suspenseful, at least for me. I still don't know what happened to Bones and it irks me lol. Thanks Lucian for the cliffy AGAIN!! Hahaha. Sadness, yes I felt sadness for all the characters, but hopeful. Winter needs reggie and reggie needs winter, to help Bones that's for sure. How will they do it? We will have to wait for the second book to find out. Oh and it's not a Bane book without the HOTNESS!! Oh boy, sizzling HOT!! The chemistry is off the charts. Towards the ending was flipping awesome. I honestly didn't think Winter was going to be as calm or as understanding, with what she found out about Reginald/Bones. What did she find out, you ask? Ohhhhhh, you must read the book to find out. *snickers* I can't wait to see how it all unfolds with part 2. A++++++++++

Reginald Bones is a real page turner that will make you a Lucian Bane fan if you aren't already one. This psychological thriller contains two men, Reginald and Bones, inhabiting the same body in a way that is intriguing and cleverly written. The story flows so well that you actually forget they share the same body and see them as completely separate characters. Their dynamic is riveting and at times quite humorous as you witness their banter. Things get very interesting when the author throws into the mix a woman that is desired by one and loathed by the other. Reginald and Bones are masterfully created to complement and challenge one another. You simultaneously get to experience Reginald realizing his feelings for this woman while Bones is literally whispering in his ear how disgusted he is. The author really does a fantastic job creating anticipation while giving you heated moments, lustful encounters and gut-wrenching despair. He dangles the promise of revealing secrets while stringing you along through the lies, deceit and desperation of his characters. I would highly recommend this book and I am anxiously awaiting the next installment.
