Esther Roland had a little problem...okay so it wasn't minor... She lied to her family and led them to believe she was engaged. A simple misunderstanding, but she had to produce someone or she would never be able to show her face to her relations again. Worst case scenario, buy off a handsome man and pay for his Christmas vacation. If only things worked out as planned. Elias Murphy's girlfriend took off with their kid and he was finally getting to see his son. What he didn't expect was for her to bring her new husband along to the meeting or that chaos would ensue. His holiday couldn't be anymore screwed up and now there was a beautiful but strange woman thrown into the mix. He didn't really have a choice but to go with the situation until he could figure a solution to his problem. But through it all and as Christmas looms closer maybe - just - maybe, they are exactly what each other needs.

Kassanna is a strong believer in love at first sight and happily ever afters. After meeting her husband in November and marrying him three months later in February the two have survived and mostly enjoyed every adventure life has thrown their way. Ten years, two children, a couple of dogs and a wild turkey that came out the woods and somehow adopted them - later- the adventure continues.

Writing has always been her passion but fate sometimes has other roads that must first be taken . Navigating the road less traveled was not only unexpected but in the end extremely rewarding. Her books are mainly contemporary romance but she has delved into the paranormal and plans on expanding into other areas as the ideas come to her. Right now she is enjoying life and seeing her work come into fruition make it that much more pleasurable especially when her books make others smile. Kassanna wouldn't have it any other way.

This was a surprisingly great novella. It was so short I was expecting it to leave me unfulfilled, but it wrapped up nicely. 4.5 Stars.

Amazeballs!!

This story was one with heart. It has a beautiful and successful African American woman that never felt at home with her family and kept her contact to a minimum as the heroine. It has wounded and angry papa bear searching for his baby boy and both in need of rescuing. An unlikely meeting and we have an adventure.

What started out as a rescue for Esther turned into a healing and rescuing of Elias (papa bear)and baby boy Emun. As Elias figured out what Esther needed he found himself falling for the dark skinned beauty and protecting her from her family members.

I loved this book so much. Had one name mix up that it took my third time reading to catch so you know that meant it took nothing away from their amazing tale.

We'll done Kassanna!!

Have a Holly Jolly.....

This is quite the gem and I was pleasantly surprised! It's a short small tale but it packs a wollop! Fate swooped in & and put Esther, Emun & Elias on a collision course and ended in perfection.
The family drama mixed in with societal ills are so relatable & real. Crikey..it was quite uncomfortable at times as I recognized so many of these characters in my own family! WTH?!?
Elias & Esther fit so well...fiery, independant, loyal, driven, smart, funny and endearingly human.
One can't help but wish there was a follow-up to this delightful yarn. Would love to see the villains in this piece get their comeuppance...But alas you'll just have to let your imagination do the trick.
Well done!!!

What a sweet love story

A lie. Family jealousy. A "Fake" fiance and the cutest toddler ever and Christmas. Loved this story. Essie's family is special in a demented yet loving for the most part. No sex needed with all of the heat and love they created while spending time focused on Emun and his delight with the pigs. It started out as fake and ended up more real than anyone could imagine.

This was a nice holiday story. I just would love to know how they plan to continue to let her family think they had a child together if they broke up?

What turned out to be an arrangement turned into a full fledged family. Esther was just looking to get through the holidays with her family without the typical questions about why she doesn't have a man or the snide remarks about losing weight. She somehow found a family of her own. Kassana brings family rivalry, comedy and a little bit of sexiness to this story!!

Great read. Sexy Alpha hero!

Sexy as all get out. The Hero's protective instincts made him super hot. Who wouldn't fight back when constantly shown how to? Loved it!

Pretty Good

Nice holiday story. Esther has hired a fiancée to take to her family for the holidays and because a small child heads for her during a heated custody exchange between his parents she is hijacked by the father. A misunderstanding by a family member now has the father and child pretending to be her fiancée and son. There are some serious under current issues but because of length of book they are only touched upon
