Sui Ishida (石田スイ, Ishida Sui), born December 28, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese manga artist
In 2010 he won the Young Jump 113th Grand Prix award with Tokyo Ghoul (東京喰種, Tōkyō Kushu). In March 2011, the same oneshot was published in the 2nd Issue of Miracle Jump. And later in September 2011, Tokyo Ghoul started as a series in Weekly Young Jump 2011-41 Issue. In December 2011, he made another oneshot about Rize that was published in December 2011 in Miracle Jump 6th Issue, which was later collected in the 6th volume of Tokyo Ghoul.
In 2013, he also started Tokyo Ghoul: Jack in the digital magazine Jump LIVE.

Sui Ishida is his penname; nobody knows his real name or what he looks like.

This volume reminded me why I love this series. GIVE ME THAT ACTION. GIVE ME THAT CHARACTER DEPTH. GIVE ME THAT MADNESS. A+

Brutal, demencial y adictivo.

El arco de la incursión al laboratorio del doctor Kanou finaliza en este tomo y las peleas que aquí se dan son sumamente interesante y las más entendibles en mucho tiempo. Creo que hubo una mejor exposición a la hora de mostrar las batallas y los movimientos que hacía cada uno.

Me encanta demasiado Kaneki y aunque aún no determino si está teniendo una especie de crisis de identidad o si solo está superado mentalmente por el estrés y la presión de cargar todo sobre sus hombros por proteger sus ideales y a los que quiere, lo cierto es que me encantó lo salido de control que estuvo en este volumen y como al final terminó siendo un arma de doble filo incluso para sus amigos y aliados.

También me gusta la pareja que hacen Amon y Akira. Y Suzuya me da mucha mala espina, todo un sádico de manual bastante retorcido. Pero bah, como me gusta el muchacho, pa' qué negarlo si es obvio.

Kaneki going crazy... Can't he have a break?
And then Banjo-san be like.. gave the best friendly and supporting advice ever. I like him, he is sweet))
Hinami -Chan is a sweetheart!
Finally I liked Amon too, srangely. It was not a case in anime, but in manga he was quite interesting to read about.
I still don't like Suuzuya. However, Shinohara-san was sympathetic character. I don't know why I like him though.

It’s sad, seeing your favorite character destroy themselves.
It hurts to read about Kaneki sacrificing his sanity, his humanity, for his friends and family. In order to get stronger and in order to protect the ones closest to him, he is willing to do anything, even if it means destroying himself in the process.

I could go on and on about how he wanted none of this and how he didn’t ask to be turned into what he is right now. But if I were to do that, I’m afraid I would end up writing pages.


The other characters are growing on me as well.
Like Hide for example.
He is stubborn and protective of his friends.
I specially love his friendship with Kaneki. They’ve known each other since childhood and Hide is quite literally one of the reasons that Kaneki is still sane.

Watching Kaneki destroy himself for the sake of protecting his loved ones is killing me. Yet another volume overrun with artful violence and high tensions. Even better yet was the confrontation I’d been eagerly anticipating: Amon and our beloved Kaneki (or… eye-patch). I’m still so eager for more!!

Il passato di Jūzō è veranente inquitante ma se è stato veramente allevato da un Ghoul può spiegarsi. Certo è sociopatico visto che ha ucciso anche degli animali.

Stupendo anche tutto lo scontro tra Ken e Shinohara e poi con Amon.

I baloons mignon sono un po' fastidiosi ma non ci si può fare niente considerando che in un kanji a volte ci sta anche una parola mentre per noi che scriviamo in lettere il tutto risulta più lungo.

I volumi dove Kaneki ne esce fatto a pezzi fisicamente, mentalmente ed emotivamente, sono tra i miei preferiti della serie... che stia trasformandomi in "Jason"?🤣😁

In this one we learn more of the origin story of Ken being a ghoul and how that can potentially impact the future of ghouls. There's dark and sinister work from Dr. Kano that was unknown by our characters until now. Good build up in my opinion! Thanks!

Just when I thought I was starting to like this they bring back the cops. I just really don't care about them. Any momentum that was built up with the big fight scenes was quickly quashed in favor of office politics. Boring.

i'm putting this series on pause for now. the amount of character introductions are kinda confusing and we spend so much time with side characters, which to be honest, i don't really care for so i'm losing interest. so i'm putting this on hold for now until i'm back in the mood for it. i definitely want to continue because i need to know what happens and for precious baby kenaki.

(1) To be honest I don't care much about the twin, I don't understand why did they change from CCG's side to the Ghouls, I don't even remember if has there been any explanation.

In other words...I will twist off all five of your fingers with pliers. Shove a centipede in your ear. Go on a date at a bookstore and gently scramble your insides.

That's so cool!!!

(3) I like the part about Sen Takatsuki, the novelist.

(4) Kaneki and Uta's scene, good.

(5) Impressive fight scenes, and Kaneki's struggling with himself, what more can I ask for!?

(6) The young Uta and Renji are so awesome!

(7) and the fairytale retelling in the 4 panels formates are just so funny and great~

This volume is all about big battles and really emphasises Kaneki embracing his ghoul side (and the fact that he is a half-kakuja!) This is such a wonderfully eye-opening transition from the Kaneki in the first couple of volumes to the Kaneki of volume 11 where he has almost gone full circle and revels in feasting on other ghouls! Kaneki is still on the hunt for Dr Kano (the man responsible for transplanting Rize's organs into him) and so are the CCG!

Elsewhere Suzuya is hell-bent on killing his former classmates Shiro and Kuro and we come to learn a bit more about his past upbringing (namely that he was raised by a ghoul which may explain his eccentricities!)

Naki (a ghoul who idolised the late fiendish, Yamori) teams up with Tsukiyama to fight against the CCG investigators (with Mado's daughter, Akira, as Amon's partner) - when face to face with Kaneki, Amon lets his escape much to the bewilderment of Akira and Suzuya.

And finally we learn that Uta used to be the leader of the 4th ward and his turbulent relationship with Renji.

Phew - a lot to digest there and soon on to volume 12!

Knowing how the whole story ends makes particular scenes and bits of dialogue hit especially hard: Suzuya/Shinohara, Takizawa/Hoji, Amon/Akira, Takizawa/Akira, Kuro/Shiro, Uta/Yomo, Kaneki/Amon, Rize, Sen Takatsuki (that Hide cameo at the signing 😩💔)....the list goes on and on.

I have no words for this volume. Absolutely one of my favorites of this entire series.

This might sound weird/mildly concerning, but I really needed to read this now. Everything about it was basically perfect in my eyes, and the emotions just *hit*.

The story felt choppy in this one. Kaneki's powers look cool as hell though (looooove the artwork), and the twins'/Juzo's histories was pretty interesting to read up on.

This was a fun volume and focuses on Ken and all trying to battle with the investigators and they do and its a fun battle and lots of revelations happen also, and the fight between him and Shinohara is something, bloody and brutal until Amon comes to the rescue and kinda pushes Ken to his sanity and he escapes and then we pickup with the fallout of the war and its something Next up we have Ken meeting Uta and finding out about Mr Yoshimura but the latter tells him about Renji and his story in the 4th ward ten years ago. In another place something is happening between Amon and Akira Mado. Its getting interesting and complex with so many things going on but when they all come together it will be awesome! Great volume and the art was good too, also Akira is so hot!!

‪“Para triunfar como escritor hace falta tener un par de tornillos un poco sueltos”- Sen Takatsuki.‬

La primera parte tiene muchísima acción y la trama avanza, mientras Kaneki va cayendo en un pozo del que no puede escapar.

Además, nuevos misterios como quién es el Búho, el origen del Aogiri y otras tramas toman forma poco a poco.

Eso sí, echo en falta a mi querida Touka.
