Sinsane Asylum: An Illuminati Fiction Thriller

Rate this book
What if the conspiracy theories revolving around pop stars and Satanic Illuminati cults were true? And the most absurdly farfetched ones at that?" Say hi to Deon "Kasino" Brooks, a broke, hip-hop hopeful who is demolishing competitors throughout the California freestyle battle circuit. After an embarrassed opponent makes an attempt on Deon's life but instead gets his head shot off by the young rapper in self-defense; an event that was filmed by his best friend/wanna-be manager Trife and posted on YouTube, Deon becomes an overnight internet sensation~ and ~subject of questioning in a Sacramento PD interrogation room. Meanwhile, Trife responds to an email from Atlanta based big shot pop music label Avarice Records that will transform them to become the entertainment industry's darlings. At a cost only one of them is willing to pay. As he fights to hold onto his identity that the Illuminati is peeling away through black mail, Deon makes an odd acquaintance that offers him a way out of the lifelong dream turned nightmare-which may rob him of what's left of his sanity. Having been betrayed by everyone close to him and without anyone else to turn to, Deon accepts the strangers' proposal, thus finding friendship with a gang of ethereal anarchists and together they turn the planet upside down. See a world of glitz, glamour, drugs, groupies, exploitation, reptilian shape-shifters, death cult sacrifices, ghosts, demons, and undead hacktivists through Deon's eyes. Sinsane Asylum is a dark urban satire that pulls no punches as it mocks –everything- from ancient mythology, conspiracy theories to our modern life.

Sinsane Asylum

Well, well, well Sentu! You have definitely done it again. Sinsane Asylum took a different approach that really would leave one guessing. Deon was a beast and who knew going about things without any helpful advice would lead to so many problems. Trife seemed like the type to always have his boys back in the beginning but as things changed so did he. Clarence really did underestimate Kasino and should've known things wouldn't go his way after he tried getting over. I couldn't stand Michael and hated how he tried holding things over Kasino's head. While on tour I thought for sure Kasino was going crazy with everything that was going on. James Michel was a true character and plenty of times I caught myself saying really dude. Trife didn't even deserve to be called a friend after how he was willing to follow through with what Michael suggested without so much as giving a warning. What Seattle came through?! I wasn't expecting that but I'm glad her and Kasino got to meet. I was so ready for Michael and Trife to get a dose of karma after the roles they played in everything. They both did something unforgivable but Trife needed to be handled and what was crazy is what he had to turn to once his money got low. All in all I really enjoyed the read.

A very different read

This was a very different type of read for me. It started off kinda slow and it was kinda hard for me to get into, but after a few chapters, it started to get really interesting. Once I got into it, the storyline really started to flow and I actually ended up really liking the story. I really enjoyed his spin on the cultural references and the satire. I will definitely be reading the authors Gangpire series.

Different but unique

I was expecting something like Gangpire but the complete opposite. I loved how author Sentu Taylor was able to pull off a different reading style but still keep it real. It took me a few days to read but I was hooked..... The world is so full of people believing in materialistic things and that false way of life. Selling there souls

This is by far one of the most unique urban novels I have came across. Sentu you really out did yourself on this one. when hip hop came into play, I was expecting the sex, drugs, money, murder. All which you did apply but you did it so different. Your writing style kinda remind me of a Urban Edgar Allen Poe.... seriously it do!!!!!!

This book make a mofo think. This Author style of writing is kinda sick. He makes me think he is kinda psychotic. Besides that, the book is a pretty damn good book. I don't to much care about this genre of writing but this book is different. It's hood, but it's just different. Maybe I just gotta read it again. Something I plan on doing. I LIKE IT!
