This is an excellent book that describes the level of mastery that all teachers should attain in the teaching profession. These are the types of teachers that should be sought when recruiting. The Five Core Propositions and the diagram of The Architecture of Accomplished Teaching: What is underneath the surface? provide a foundation for serious professional standards and growth throughout a career.

Great foundational reading for educators or anyone who is interested to learn what it is that binds all teachers together regardless of content area or grade level. This tiny book sums up the five core propositions at the heart of education as determined by thousands of practitioners in every grade level and subject matter. Must read for any candidate for National Board Certification!

Book made me cry. So much work and for what? Them to brag about being a teacher? Is national board certification worth it? Not sure anymore.
