This battle of wills is about to go below the belt…

Willow Scott is sweet, innocent, and 100% untouchable. She’s the epitome of everything MMA fighter Regan “Rapscallion” Matthews has always wanted, but will never have. A woman like her deserves more than a scrapper from the wrong side of the tracks—the Scott’s charity case.
Unfortunately for Regan, his best friend’s little sister is all grown up and she’s tired of playing by the rules. When Willow sees something she wants, she goes after it—damn the consequences—and her sights are set on him. With a shot at the Welterweight title finally within his grasp, Willow Scott is a distraction Regan can’t afford. But this willful woman is determined to make him tap-out.
Willow has been in love with Regan Matthews since she was in pigtails and braces. Over the years, she’s all but given up hope of her brother’s friend returning her affection, but a part of her never stopped praying that someday he would see her as more than Kyle Scott’s annoying little sister. If Willow has her way that’s all about to change, and Regan must decide if he’s willing to risk losing his best friend and the Welterweight title for a woman he doesn’t deserve but cannot live without.

5 Forbidden Fruit Stars

Some Spoilers

OMG I have been waiting for Regan and Willow's story since Passing His Guard and it was amazing!!! I love me some brother's best friend love stories! I started this book and I couldn't put it down. I stayed up til 4am finishing it and I was sad when it ended! Willow was stubborn, strong, and so brave. I love that she fought for what she wanted and what she thought was right. Regan was sexy, playfully, funny, and very loyal. Both Willow and Regan were endearing, and relatable. Both had a very hard life. Willow losing her parents and almost being killed herself. Regan suffering the abuse of an alcoholic father. Both were fighters picking themselves up and making a life for themselves.

 photo tumblr_inline_np2rtjK0wg1qcr9nu_500_zpsfgjlbx2x.gif

Willow, her brother Kyle, and Regan all grew up together. Willow has always loved Regan and Regan fell in love with Willow when she was 16 although he fought his feelings. Regan felt that Willow was forbidden fruit. That it would be disloyal to be in a relationship with his best friends baby sister. Regan and Willow's relationship was angsty with some push/pull balanced out with plenty of sweet. And the heat omg the heat. Regan and Willow had a strong connection. The sex in this book was hot! What is it about the forbidden fruit that just makes it sweeter? I loved getting to see Regan and Willow give into their relationship. I was also on pins and needles waiting for Kyle to find out about his baby sister and his best friend. And boy did the shit hit the fan when Kyle found out. I loved Regan, Willow and Kyle. I thought their dynamic was sweet. I felt bad that Kyle took things so badly and I want more Kyle! I loved everything about this book but the epilogue. I felt the epilogue was kinda weak. I love this series and I hope Kyle and Grim get their own books!

3.5-4 Forbidden fruit stars

This is Willow’s and MMA fighter Regan (Rapscallion) story

So Willow is Kyle’s sister (“The Killer”) in which is also Regan’s best friend. So you can basically see where this is going with the forbidden fruit…….need I say more

Looking forward to the next. (hopefully Kyle)

***4 Always and Forever Stars***

After finishing Fighting for Control I had put down my guess as to who the next book would be about, I was wrong, though I don’t think I’m necessarily wrong about the couple in question, but I’m not sorry I was wrong. While I did quite a bit of the heavy sighing/shaking of the head thing, which comes with the territory when you delve into a best friends sibling romance, I loved Regan and Willow’s story. It brought out all the feels mixed a good dose of smexy and getting to see a different perspective on the characters that we’ve come to know and love was a welcome treat.

I loved Regan. He may be the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, is a manwhore and tends to believe the worst of himself, but he has a heart of gold. His sense of honor and integrity rivals most out there, and that’s what I ended up loving about him. He wants to be a good man and does everything he can to do it. He trips up every so often, but no one is perfect.

I had moments with Willow, but overall I loved the girl. She went through a hellish experience at 15 and came out stronger because of it. She had help, may a little too much help at times, but she’s a survivor and has worked to make a life for herself. I loved Willow’s sassy nature and big heart. I loved seeing her go for what she wanted, even if there was an impetuous nature to it at times that almost got her into trouble.

With any falling in love with your best friends sibling romance there is quite a bit of push/pull and angst involved no matter how you swing it and Regan and Willow’s road to their HEA was no different. I could go into all the crazy they put themselves through, much of which you can probably guess at so I won’t. What I will say is that I really loved them together. The fact that they were already close friends and saw each other clearly was a bonus, but there was true chemistry between them that was undeniable. And though I loved how Willow pursued Regan, it was Regan whose side I ended up taking more often than not after he finally gave in.

Even after reading the first three books in the series and knowing how Ms. Price likes to throw twists into the plot lines, there were some in here that even I couldn’t have seen coming, but they all worked and I liked how everything played out in the end. This book can be read as a standalone, though due to the timeline of events I think it would be more enjoyable if you took the time to read the previous books, but that’s just my opinion. The writing was engaging and the dual 3rd person POV was done well. Even though I wanted to smack Kyle upside the head many times I’m crossing my toes that his book will be next, though I wouldn’t be too upset if Grim’s story was the next up either.

Very good book

This series is really good and even though the storyline isn't all that original it does have some things that happen that definitely shock you. I have become invested in these MMA guys and loom forward to reading Kyle's story.

THANK YOU NETGALLEY AND MELYNDA PRICE for a copy of Grappling for Position.

FRUSTRATION!
description/

FYI…this is the first book in this series that I have read.

Writing: Very minimal mistakes. I thought the title for the book was very creative.

The thing that aggravated me the most about Melynda Price’s writing is that it was repetitive. The same things kept being repeated over and over again. If some of the repetition was cut out, this book would have been a lot shorter. There was also no concept of time. It would be a new scene and I would assume it was the following day because that is how it was written and then find out a month had passed by. There were blocks of writing where I had no idea where I was in regards to time. 3rd Person Narration. 2 POV.

Characters: Willow and Regan are the main characters. They are both suffering from traumatic pasts. There are a host of other characters that include her brother Kyle, and the MMA family. The characters were underdeveloped and I wasn't invested in them.

One example of an underdeveloped character – throughout the story, coach was portrayed as a surly father figure to all that fought for him. This extended to Willow because she was Kyle’s sister. However, there weren’t any interactions where this attribute was illustrated. This kept me from having a connection with the coach and feeling sympathetic. My feelings could be hindered because I didn’t read books 1-3; maybe that is where coach’s personality was illustrated.

Storyline: This book left me very frustrated. There was too much and not enough going on all at once. Melynda created great angst in the book. She set up issues and problems that would make for great drama and action, but then nothing would happen, or whatever did happen did not match the intensity that Melynda set up for it.

There were also scenes that I remember asking “why was this in here?” For instance, Willows tattoo. It was supposedly this big deal. I was waiting to read a scene about Kyle blowing up about it, but nothing. It was never mentioned again.

I would also ask “When did this happen or what was the outcome?” – When did this happen example: In a very convenient scene the readers learn that Willow is trained in haikido. Nothing big happens besides her getting the man to let go of her wrist, but when was she trained? After that scene we hear nothing else of it.

What was the outcome example: There is nervous energy about a big meeting at the gym with the person who is filling in for coach. It is supposed to be a big deal. You want to know what happens at that meeting. Well guess what, so did I, but it was skipped over.

There were so many instances in this book that I was so frustrated. Melynda set the story up perfectly to give readers a good intense read, but her execution missed the mark.

Erotic Scenes: I was so frustrated with the rest of the book that I didn’t really care for this section. It doesn’t mean that Melynda didn’t write this section well, it just means that I was no longer invested.

Overall…frustration is the one word that sums up how I felt about this book. I also was bewildered with the epilogue. When did the fighters get married and have children. I almost flipped through the previous chapters to see if I missed something, but decided against it.

This is a very powerful book about relationships. One is with Willow Scott and her brother Kyle who since their parent’s tragic auto accident left college and took over raising her. She of course rebelled at every chance she could get. He chose to get into MMA fighting like his best friend Regan “Rapscallion” Matthews, who has been fighting since he was a teenager and loves it. Also Willow has had a mad crush on Regan forever. He of course has looked after her also and has gotten her out jams now though he is getting them both into the biggest one of both of their lives when he tells Willow that he has liked her for years. When she decides to move out from under her brother’s control she moves in with Regan and though he tells her they should tell her brother they wait. This all comes to a head when they are getting ready for the biggest fight that either one has ever been in and end up fighting in the gym first. Now he must somehow fix his career, friendship with Kyle if possible, and now make sure Willow knows that he is committed to her. There is a lot going on in this book but the author pools it off and makes it work. She brings you to the end where you are still wondering what is going to happen and that is a sign of a good author. This is a very good book to go along with the other books. I got this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

Omg this book had me go through so many emotions. This is the story of Willow and girl raised by her brother Kyle a mma fighter after her parents were killed and Kyle's best friend Regan. Willow has always loved her brothers best friend. Now that she is old enough she tries everything to get Regan to love her. Once she finally gives up on Regan that is when Regan realizes he has to be around her and he is in love with her whole heartedly. This book I could not put it down. I received an arc copy of the book in exchange for a review and boy am I happy to get a chance to read it.

Title: Grappling for Position

Series: Against the Cage Book #4
Author: Melynda Price

Genre: Romance

Blurb: This battle of wills is about to go below the belt…

Thoughts: If you are a fan of MMA books, Grappling for Position is a great one to pick up. I really enjoyed the storyline and the nitty-gritty characters who really seemed to come to life from the pages. Not to mention the whole ‘best friend’s sister’ angle that I am a real sucker for. Willow was such a strong female character in so many ways, and had such a loyalty to her family and friends, all of which made her a character you love to read about. I admired and loved the relationship she shared with her brother – which really lent credence to the rift that potentially develops between the two men, both who love her. Melynda Price really captured the feelings and emotions the characters were experiencing and relayed that to the reader.

Thoroughly enjoyable!

This was given to me by Netgalley for a honest review. This is book 4 in this series. I come across this series by accident, was bored and looking for a new author through kindle prime . I've read all 4 books in this series and each is better than the last. I really like how each book is its own story. But they all continue in each following book. No cliffhangers and HEA. Love this series. MMA fighters and the women they fall in love with.

Truly amazing five plus stars

Having read all the previous books, which by the way were ALL excellent and gripping stories, I was bit anxious whether this book would be as good as the other three. But the author did not disappoint not a least. What I love about the whole series is the fact that, although these book can be read as standalone, they are so connected it begs for reading them all in the order they have been written. The reason for that is that the stories are carefully thought through and evolve around events that are common for all of them. It is like watching the same event but every time from other person's point of view. This is what I loved the most because it made me realize how different but also how connected the hero's of these stories were, and how the author took her storytelling seriously. This is something I have not found often, if ever, in other book series of this kind. I felt connected and in love with Willow and Regan and felt for them all the way through and what they gone through. It was a difficult journey for them and I think still not settled, which is supported, in my opinion, by quite abrupt epilogue (and my one and only reservation). What happens to Willow's brother and who is the mysterious Penelope or how August Grim, the new fighter, fits in the MMA family. Maybe, and I secretly hope for that, there will be other stories coming as no way one can stop this so addictive series and this author's writing. I have become a serious fan of her writing which I definitely, unequivocally, wholeheartedly recommend. The whole series so far deserves 5 plus stars!!!

I received an ARC copy of this book via NetGalley in return for an honest review

This was my introduction to Melynda Price and this series. I honestly did not think that I would enjoy a series about MMA as much as I did. Grappling For Position is a caring book about two people who have been through a lot, loss, despair, and so much more, and their way of trying to find a little bit of peace in each other.

I thought the female lead had just the right kind of spunk, that made it believable for me, that she would not take anything from anyone, including the man of her dreams Reagan, and her own fighter brother Kyle. While struggling with her past, and their protectiveness, she grows into a strong woman throughout the story, while helping Reagon deal with his own demons. Their relationship is believable, charming, dynamic and not always easy, which makes great conflict.

What I also enjoyed about this book was that there was a greater suspense and heartache, then just a simple love story. It could have been easily cheesy, but Melynda skillfully managed to create an action packed plot that kept me want to read more. I am going to read every one of the series now.

This book is a part of a series, but can easily be read alone, and out of sequence.

This is the 4th book in the Against the Cage series and can be read as a standalone, but characters from previous books appear in this book. I have not read the other books, but it seems to me that the books take place at the same time. Plus there are questions unanswered (about other characters in the book) at the end of this book. So it just makes a person want to go back and read the 1st 3 books and can't wait for new stories for other characters. Great strategy!

Regan is a MMA fighter whose mother ran out on him when he was little and left him with his drunken abusive father. He spent most of his time at his best friend's house (Kyle), as Kyle's parent were loving and attentive. But when Regan and Kyle were 20, Kyle's parents were killed in a car accident, leaving Kyle to look after his 15 year old sister Willow. So Kyle quit college and joined Regan in the MMA world to support Willow. Willow has always been in love with Regan, but he only sees her as Kyle's little sister. But 5 years later she takes a chance and shows Regan how she really feels. After that Regan sees her in a whole new light and cannot get her out of his head. He wants to be with her all the time but Willow wants to keep their affair a secret from her over protective brother because she knows he will go off the deep end when he finds out. There are lots of twists and turns in Regan and Willow's journey along with romance and a little bit of steam.

An MMA fighter taps out for love…

This is the fourth book in the Against the Cage series that can be read as a stand-alone, events here are occurring concurrently with those in the previous books.

Twenty year old Willow Scott is in college, she’s studying to become a nurse while working at the MMA gym her brother is affiliated with. She’s been overprotected by the brother who raised her after almost losing her in the horrific car crash that took their parent's lives. All the MMA fighters are family now but there’s one, her brother’s best friend that she’s always wanted more from. Almost ready to give up on his ever seeing her as a woman she realizes he does care and then the game is on. She’s sassy, defiant though not reckless and when she wants something she goes for it, Regan is now her target and he’s been warned. “I’m not giving up on us, Regan, not without a fight.”

MMA fighter Regan “Rapscallion” Matthews survived an abusive father as well as abandonment by his mother. What saved him was learning to fight to protect himself and the caring of the Scott family who treated him as one of their own. When the elder Scotts died Regan was there for his best friend and younger sister. He’s always cared more for Willow than he should but she’s part of the only family he’s ever known and he doesn’t want to lose them so he’s watched her mature over the years and kept his forbidden fantasies to himself. Regan doesn’t believe he’s worthy of Willow but that doesn’t seem to stop him once she’s made her feelings known to him. How can he keep saying no when she’s all he’s ever desired? She’s always been a breath of fresh air to his troubled inner soul.

Wow! Another great read in this series. Each of the books I have read by this author including this one were excellent well-edited stories that grabbed my attention early on and never let go. These characters had raw emotional depth and captivating dynamics, they were likable and relatable and exhibited much personal growth; the dual point of view really enhanced things, allowing us into their tumultuous inner thoughts. The absorbing plot pushed all this reader’s buttons with the added suspense providing yet another dimension to the tale.

This was a wonderfully sweet and sexy romance with some strong themes: allowing yourself to be loved for we all deserve it, finding closure by coming to terms with the agonies of the past to be able to move forward in life, and the personal meaning of justice. There wasn’t a full resolution of things between Regan and Kyle at the end which may well be a part of another book for Kyle deserves his own story. This reader is definitely looking forward to more in this series.

Wow. Sigh. I loved this book!

Willow Scott is a nursing student, trying to move on with her life after her parents were killed in an accident that also involved her when she was 15. She was raised by her 5 years older brother, Kyle “the Killer” Scott, an MMA champion fighter and his best friend Regan, also an MMA champion fighter. Kyle gave up his college dreams to do this. Willow has been in love with Regan since she first laid eyes on him when she was 13. These three have an amazing, close relationship.

Regan Matthews was raised by an abusive father. He began learning MMA fighting as a way to protect himself against his father. Kyle and Regan became best friends in their late teens and Regan spent as much time as possible in the Scott house. He loved Kyle and Willow’s parents almost as much as they did. Regan has many insecurities brought on from his dad. He’s been in love with Willow since she was 16 years old but would never cross that line for fear of losing his best friend.

Willow turned to Regan a lot to get through the trauma/pain/grief of losing her parents to keep from adding to Kyle’s. Regan turned to cage bunnies and one night stands because he didn’t feel he deserved Willow. Four years later, it all comes to a head. Regan can no longer deny he loves her, nor can he stay away from her.

Watching these two together was sweet and intense. They generated a lot of heat! You could feel their connection and what they meant to each other.

The suspense part was pretty predictable as was the type of incident that would bring them all back together. I was hoping to see more resolution between Kyle and Regan. So many emotions! They are palpable as you read this story. It sucks you in right from the beginning and leaves you devouring it because you can’t walk away.

Favorite lines:
“Dude, you look like Rainbow Brite just took a shit all over you.”

“If you see me running, then you’d better run too, because something is chasing me.”

Still anxiously awaiting Kyle and Penelope’s story! Wondering if Carson will pop back up somewhere down the line? Lots of fighters still waiting for their HEA.

I really loved this book. It was the first that I've read by this author and now I'm going to have to read more!! I loved the relationship between Regan and Willow. The only thing that disappointed me was the ending, I just felt it was a little blah compared to the rest of the book. Besides that, it was a great book!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book

Melynda Price is a new author to me and I have to say a new Favorite of mine,
This is an amazing story, I LOVE MMA stories, I have devoured Lane Harts Cocky Cage Fighters series and OMG this ranks right up there with that. This is not book 1 in this series and I will be getting the others asap! But it can be read as a stand alone.
The author has a way with her writing that you are so pulled in to the story you feel the emotions, the pain, the joy, the anger that these characters are experiencing.
Willow and Kyle lost their parents in a horrific car accident, one where Willow almost lost her life as well, (wont give much away about this because it is very important to the whole story)
Regan is from a very abusive home, His mom left when he was very young because of his abusive father. Regan has dealt with being beaten so many times by his drunk dad if it wasnt for the Scott family and the fact that they treated him like a son he would have been dead long ago. When the tragedy of the Scotts death came Regan was there for Willow and Kyle. The love the three share is so touching and beautiful.
The book starts out with Regan saving Willow when she was 16 from doing something that she would regret. When she kisses him that night he knows then that he NEEDS to stay away from her. Regan never thought he was good enough for a beautiful strong and good girl like Willow.
4 years later and all those feelings come to a head.
This story has everything from attempted murder, anger, grief, anxiety, sadness and joy.
True Love, betrayal , friendships torn apart and everything in between. I devoured this book it is the type of book where you will lose sleep because you cannot put it down.

Thanks to netgalley.com for the ARC of this book!!
Oh what a book! I loved all of the previous books with "Disco Stick" and Cole and coach! I was so excited to start reading this book and was instantly in love with these characters! I love Willow and Regan and I just love how they drew on each other's strengths to get through all life threw at them. I really hope there are a few more books in this series the writing to so good and the books have some great twists to the plot. I just love this author and how creative and interesting her characters are! Thanks for also bringing back characters from previous books and putting them into the story, it makes it so good to read what they are doing now and that they have not been replaced or are just missing from the story it makes everyone's story intertwined and more of a complex family then just some fighters at a gym.

So I got this book of netgalley to read and was really surprised by it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was and easy read, not too much drama, and what drama there was, was all the characters not outside factors.
Definitely a book to reread again and looking forward to any more in the series. Will definitely be recommending this book and author to all my book friends as I really think they would enjoy it.

Grappling for Position is a sexy MMA love story that you can't put down!
Willow lost her parents at a tender age and her brother Kyle was left to raise her. So he’s ruthless about protecting her, but the relationship between siblings is sweet. Kyle is an awesome big bro and I can’t wait to read his story. I found myself crying for the tragedy Willow and Regan suffered and laughing at the way they tried to hide their relationship from Kyle. Melynda Price is a talented author with a gift for creating characters that you can’t help but love. I highly recommend this book.

This was such an engrossing journey that I didn't want to put it down! Willow is a woman who encourages strength and overcoming your fear to go for want in life even when dealing with an overly protective brother. She is an amazing character who has had to deal with intense tragedies at a very young age. Regan is the epitome of loyal and, as an MMA fighter, he has the control to hold himself off from what he wants, which is Willow. Being best friends with Willow's brother and his own issues of worthlessness due to his own brutal and heart-rending childhood, he fights himself daily from surrendering to the love he has for Willow. It was an amazing journey to watch these two characters overcome the issues that slap them in the face and allow themselves to reach for their own happiness. I was honored with the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book and highly recommend it. As a matter of fact, Melynda Price is such a master story teller that I will be reading the rest of the books in this series.

What a fantastic book!! I love this author's writing style and characters so I'm glad to see this series continue with the fourth book. There are so many great stories in the gym waiting to be told. If you haven't read the prior books you'll have no problem following along with this one. Regan “Rapscallion” Matthews should have his head in the game and not letting Willow Scott distract him. Not only should he be focused but she's his best friends little sister and completely off limits. He's loved her as long as he can remember but now her sights are focused on him and he doesn't stand a chance. His friendship and career have him fighting it at first but then he realizes none of that is worth anything without the woman he loves. Will he be able to find a way to have it all????

Regan sometimes needs to reassure his girl, “sweetheart, are you kidding me? You do please me. Why would you say that? I’m so effing hot for you I can hardly stand it. What’s this all about?” Regan likes to shower his girl with compliments, “you look so effing gorgeous. I’m going to spend this entire night hard as a rock. You know that, right?” Regan was so in love with Willow that man would do anything for her and for that I fell in love with him. I really enjoyed this book.

MMA books don’t get much sexier or more emotionally involved than Grappling for Position. With larger than life characters, lots of personal dramatics, and a romance that’s been brewing for several years, it was difficult to tear myself away from this book until I flew through every page.

‘She knew she wasn’t playing fair, but Willow was past fair; she was playing for keeps.’

I’m new to the Against the Cage series but I enjoy MMA contemporary romances and am always looking for new well-written books in this sub-genre to read. And I have to admit that I can see myself binge-reading Melynda Price’s work right away. From the way she showed the progression of emotions our characters went through in an honest way, to the undercurrent of family and friendship she explored, I thought there was a richness to this story that really resonated. And I loved that not everything was resolved right away while all of the characters were struggling with their own issues. They had to work for their HEA, some of them battling constantly for years, but it was so worth it all in the end.

4 1/2 stars!

I have absolutely fell in love with this series, and the sexy MMA fighter's as well. Each have their own story, each so very different from the others, but the bond between them is not easily broken. Regan "Rapscallion" Matthews had a horrible childhood, until his best friend's parents took them into their home and family. Together, they showed him what family meant, how it felt to love and be loved in return, and was always there when he needed them. When Kyle and Willow's parents were killed in a horrific accident, Regan did everything he could to always be there for his bf and sister, even ignore the feelings that he had for Willow.

Willow was with her parents in the accident that killed them, almost died herself, and it has haunted her everyday since. She has also been in love with Regan since the first time she saw him getting cleaned up by her mother after a beating from his father. She's tried to hide her feelings from her extremely over protective brother, and even though he turned her down years before, she can't get over the love she has for Regan.

This is an emotionally captivating story full of love as well as pain, heartache, horrible tragedies, and so much more. The three of them were brought together by unique circumstances, and the bond between them is just as unique. Will Regan and Willow give in to the love they have for each other? What will happen when her brother finds out? What will happen when Willow's past comes back with a vengeance, and her life is in danger? Or when Regan's comes back in the form of his abusive father? Will the three of them be able to keep her safe, keep Regan sane, and keep Kyle from exploding when the truth finally comes out? You'll have to read it to find out!

I strongly recommend this book, series, and fantastic author!

I have voluntarily reviewed this arc I received from the publisher via NetGalley.

Grappling for Position by Melynda Price is a contemporary romance novel. The main characters are Willow and Regan.

I love this series, MMA at its best!

I received an ARC , my review is voluntary and my honest opinion. I have been awaiting Willow and Regan's story and Melynda did not disappoint! I loved how readers got the opportunity to read about them thru their teenage years to present date. I am a sucker for the Against the Cage series, the other characters from past books were included which was an added bonus. Willow grew from a teenager in love with her brother's best friend. Said brother's best friend was like a brother to her as he was constantly in their home. He was the product of a broken and abusive home, he thought his mom had abandoned him. Willow on the other hand endured her own share of battles with the loss of her parents among other things. Regan grew thinking he was unlovable but he eventually allowed Willow into his world. Boy did he rock her world lol. It was a great read, definitely enjoyable.

Regan's dad really did a number on him. He was a total waste but thankfully Regan was able to get some closure on the breakdown in their relationship. Kyle was so overprotective of his sister but he was just looking out for her best interests. The fighters just add a different dimension of sexy to these books, I hope that August would be given his own book as well as I cannot wait to read about Kyle and Penelope. There seems to be a story waiting to be told there. Overall the fighters are like family and it's cute how they adopted Willow as their sister. The end of the book was a nice close to a lovely read.

I would definitely recommend this book you read contemporary romance, you would not want to put down your Kindle once you start reading!

I had never previously read any books by this author but I knew that this would be a good one – just by the synopsis. I’m not usually a big fan of sports romances, but this one was worth every bit of time I spent reading it. I think this is definitely a book that can be enjoyed by anyone, whether they are typical sports romance fans or not.

This book follows the story of Regan & Willow. Regan is best friends with Willow’s older brother so he knows that she is off limits, but there is just something about her that he can’t ignore. Willow has had a crush on Regan for years & for years she has tried to ignore it. Until she decides that she isn’t going to any longer; she is determined that he will be hers leaving Regan to decide who is more important – her or her brother.

The interaction between Regan & Willow is so well written & very believable. It comes across as a realistic story that any one of your friends could be telling you. I was glad to see that Willow was almost the aggressor in their relationship journey. It shows that she is a determined individual but also that Regan is a fiercely loyal one. But the chemistry between these two is off the charts – I mean honestly, everyone around them knew what they were to each other EXCEPT for Willow’s brother? So oblivious. I liked the way the author wrote them together though. I definitely want to read more stories by Melynda Price.
