About the author

João Scognamiglio Clá Dias was a Brazilian Roman Catholic priest and religious writer. He was the founder of the Heralds of the Gospel and was their Superior General until his resignation on 2 June 2017. Dias was a member of the Marian Congregation of the Third Carmelite Order from 23 May 1956, and was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on 15 June 2004. He was also the Honorary Canon of the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major in Rome.

My hopes

I wanted to honor the Blessed Mary since it is the 100th anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima. It not only told the story of the apparitions, but explained how we can be closer to Jesus through our Blessed Mary.

This small book was interesting. Of course, I had read about the three children of Fatima, but I learned new facts about the event.I found out the connection with Pope Pius XII and also Pope John Paul II. Pope Pius XII listened to Lucy, the oldest of the three children and at the age of 45, and in 1952 consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Ten years later he consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart. In 1982, Pope John Paul II pilgrimaged to Fatima, in gratitude for his escape from death due to an assassin's bullet. He felt that Immaculate Heart of Mary had saved him.

A primeira parte é muito interessante, dinâmico e rápido de ler.
A segunda parte é um aborrecimento total, com algumas ideias antiquadas e meio aborrecido.
A conclusão fica meio em aberto para quem não sabe o que se sucedeu em relação aos estados religiosos da Rússia...
