Diane Smith's second collection heart-warming and humorous stories from the Positively Connecticut TV series, now seen on Connecticut Public Television.
Author Diane Smith has worked as a reporter and news anchor, university lecturer in communications, and author. She felt that there is so much bad news on TV that she wanted to discover the good news. This book is composed of 60 vignettes "about Connecticut's dreamers, doers, characters, and heroes both celebrated and unsung." Some of the special people that she interviewed are an antiques dealer, a doll collector, a woman organizing an oral history project for musicians, people involved in a puppetry program, a quilter, a cartoonist, a Renaissance entertainment troupe, storytellers who use African talking drums and chanting, a teacher who trains deaf dogs, and clowns that cheer up hospital patients. The book is an offshoot of her entertaining TV program where she interviewed interesting people around Connecticut.
