Logan is a werewolf tormented by his past and a need for revenge. The Falcar, half demon and half vampire, destroyed his life when they killed his entire pack. He's the last royal prince werewolf, and the Falcar were determined to end his bloodline once and for all. Logan goes on a mission to find the Falcar and destroy them forever. When he meets an Ankh witch named, Sophia, his world is turned upside down. Can she save Logan from himself?
Chrissy Peebles, a practicing nurse, has always loved reading and writing fantasy from the earliest age she can remember. She plotted every single twist she could think of during bedtime stories for her children. When her little ones begged for more adventures, she felt confident enough to let her overeager imagination and sense of humor spill out into her first novel. She lives in Ohio with her husband, two young kids, one hamster, three dwarf hamsters and cat. When she's not taking the kids to Little League soccer, basketball, or baseball, she loves to snap photos as her favorite hobby.
This is a spin off of the crush series, Logans story.. Logan has terrible nightmares of how his pack was all killed off by the FACARS. The FACARS are DEmons / vampire mix and are the most vicious creature there is. Just when you think you have killed one the Demon side of their heritage doesnt let them die, and they come back like zombies. the only known way to truly kill them is a ANKH WITCH, and only two of them are in existance and they are about to turn 18 and they have know idea they are witches that can save the world from these FACARS. Logans job, along with his friends are going to find these two girls. Logans friends are Taylor, Julie and Fred from the Crush series.. Logan is a werewolf/witch mix.... Taylor and Julie are DEmon/witch mix and Fred is a Vampire/ witch mix... Freds Girlfriend Cindy is also helping them and she is a Gargoyle.... Logan is on a mission to rid the world of these terrible creatures. I really enjoyed this story and would love to continue on in the series.
This is an interesting story with an underlying mystery. The main character, Logan, went through a terrible tragedy when he was younger and is struggling with the lingering pain and anger after he hits a dead end in trying to obtain justice.
As the story progresses his focus does not change, but additional elements are brought into the mix. He works to adjust to the new information and to take his friends concerns for him into account as he takes action.
Also, as another reviewer mentioned, one of the main party characters is a gargoyle! She is beautiful, funny, extremely strong and helps the main character several times. She helps brighten the story when it needs it.
I rated this four stars out of five as I felt a little disconnected from the world. The characters and story are interesting enough that I bought the other books in the series. :)
I'm so glad I came upon this book, even if it was by accident because I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next book, Faith and Love. I'm also excited to know that there are 8 more books to this Series. This is my first time reading a book by, Chrissy Peebles and I'm happy to have found another Paranormal Series to read, as well as finding a new author to follow. I'm anxious to find out what happens between Logan and Sophia, if the group of Immortal friends are able to find and rescue Sophia's twin sister, Eve and if they're all able to put an end to the Falcars. A great story!!!
A werewolf whose whole pack was destroyed by Falcars, but he was saved. He's been searching for them with help from his friends a gargoyle and a vampire. There is a prophecy that he and one of twin girls will be able to destroy them.
It was OK, I just finished the last book in the series (book #9) so I obviously liked the series well enough to want to know how it ends. That said, with the exception a few chapters in the whole series, I just never really got sucked in as much as I hoped I would be. It was too easy to read a chapter and put the book down again. There was too much emphasis on "kicking butt" and not enough relationship building for my personal taste. Also the only editing seemed to be a quick spell check, there were plenty of extra, missing, wrong words, and a couple plot errors where people talked about things they're not supposed to know that would pull me out of the story and remind me I was reading a book.
