I absolutely hate and despised the ending. Ker Dukey wrote the sequel of Drawn To You years later and maybe that's why she changed things so much along with her hero preference but as a reader it was a disaster for me.

A sad, tragic ending would have been better than this horrific one. I've always believed that books teach us a great deal and I love it when the authors don't give the typical expected HEA ending. But there are some unwritten rules for an author to follow while writing romance.

You just don't make the readers fall and hope for the love story of a specific couple to happen in a book while destroying it all in the other. The couples who ended up being together at the end felt more like out of convenience rather than love. Because a friend was there for when a girl needed him and was going through serious troubles with her boyfriend does not make it okay for them to end up being with each other.

This book was horrible because the characters were too self obsessed to fight for love when their relationship suffered and was tested. Instead they chose a convenient partner. From major to minor characters, everyone has done exactly this.

Friendship and pure platonic relationships have been tainted in this book while love has lost all hope. There was no chance given for mistakes to be corrected or redemption to happen. "Just settle for the convenient choice" is the message this book cried out.

In my all reading years, I've never read a book so disappointing. And as much as I love Ker Dukey's writing, I can not even give this book bonus points for being written by one of my favorite authors. Sorry!

For all those who have read Drawn to You and our eagerly waiting to read Lines Drawn , do yourselves a favor and just be haply with the cliff-hanging ending of the first book.

I am a huge fan of Ker Dukey, in love with her dark side. This duo of books, I will admit is my least favorite of her work. I had a extremely difficult time connecting with the main character Antoino. She moves away from her home after experiencing a violent attack. She moves in with her best friend and then the twists and turns begin. The first book has chapters where it is slow moving, it is not till the last 25% of the book that the drama starts. During the second book we start seeing some of our characters we like show their true colors. The ending is not what I expected.

Wow! I wouldn't of put this down if my house was on fire...

Well I would, but you get my drift. I went from Drawn to you then was taken on the whirlwind ride that was Lines Drawn.

Twists and turns an unpredictable plot, Ker Dukey amazes me with every new release.

Book one to be read first and with how Drawn to you ended I can honestly say I did not see half of this coming.

The plot focuses on Antonia, Fin and Gavin each with their own pov's while also involving other characters from the previous book.

I completely got caught up with the angst, the drama the heartache all leading me to the unpredictable ending with uncertainty.

*spoiler*
Did I like the ending? I'm on the fence, Antonia and Finlay have a passionate and hot relationship that I loved in the first book so events that took place was a surprise I didn’t see coming.

Antonia does Get a hea but not without a rollercoaster of a journey full of twists and turns along the way.

Recommended read.

After the ending in Drawn to You, I wanted to throw my kindle.

You must read Drawn to you prior to reading Lines Drawn. Every question is answered in this conclusion.

Finley and Antonia survive by each other’s heartbeat. With one devastation after another, the heart tends to beat irregularly… As Finley and Antonia will find out.

I enjoyed this book but thought the middle was boring. Just rehashing what one does daily. Then came the last 20 percent of the book and it picked up quickly. Almost too quickly.

True to Ker’s writing, she draws you in, crushes your heart, then makes you feel like there is nothing wrong.

Can Finley and Antonia move past all that has happened and be there for each other? That is the million-dollar question!!!

I always look forward to Ker Dukey's books because I know I am guaranteed a good twisty read and this one didn't stray from that path.

This is book 2 in The Drawn To You series. In the first book everything was hunky Dory for Finn and Antonia then boom the ending took us all by surprise and we were left wanting more. Well this is your more and be prepared because just as you think everything was going okay it goes boom again and we are led through a series of twist and turns, yes a couple of them were slightly suspected but a couple of them threw me backwards when they were revealed.

Antonia must be one of the most unluckiest but very strong female characters I have ever come across and I genuinely had some sympathy for her. Finn I wanted to slap a few times or more and at one point I really didn't get him.

The side characters I loved too especially Finn's best friend Gavin and Antonia's cousin Mary. Brad was a bit of a mystery and I would like to know more on him to understand why he did what he did a bit better. (sorry that's a bit cryptic so you have to read it to find out what I mean) The whole Gaby and Mike scenario as well is a bit mysterious, we didn't see much of Mike in this book so will we get more of their story?

Overall I loved this book and I hope it isn't the last we see of all these characters as I for one need more.

Ok. So, if you’ve read book 1, this one takes quite the turn. I can understand why some people weren’t happy about this turn but I loved it, the relationship dynamics in the first book were not working for me. I’m glad this book exposed some hard truths and took some of these characters down different paths.

After the bomb that was dropped at the end of book one were met with the aftermath. The characters are not taking things too well. Finlay and Antonia struggle quite a bit with what happened at the end of the last book and their are some truths revealed about their parents and some careless decisions they made, it just piles on the struggles for these characters.

Gabe really steps up in this book. Antonia needed a friend, Finlay was lost in grief, Gaby was lost in her drama, Antonia’s parents were back in England, Gabe really comes through when Antonia needs someone most.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit more than I enjoyed the first. It was mostly the characters coming to terms with what had happened in the first book and trying to move past that, trying to reassemble their lives in some way that was bearable to them. Their were still a few unanswered questions and we get those answers at the end of the book in wonderful dramatic fashion.

Argh how do I review this book without giving and spoilers.
In true Ker Dukey style there is Angst, Heartbreak and plenty of Soul Searching. Decisions are made, consequences will haunt the most vulnerable and love will be found when least expected.

All questions are answered and all loose ends from the first book are tied into a neat bow. For me the ending was fantastic and represented the characters perfectly.

Finlay or Gavin? Can’t I have them both!?!? Antonia faces more trials and tribulations in this follow up book. A lot of these reviews say the ending is odd and unexpected. Honestly, I have to disagree. I’m glad Antonia ends up with.....(obviously I’m not gonna give it away)😉
Another great book by Ker Dukey.

This story comes after Drawn to you, so be sure to read that one first. This book is written by obviously a creative author. It is a romance story that isn't for the light hearted. I can't say enough about the emotions these characters made me feel. I've never before had a cluster of emotions hit me so hard and all at once. Make sure you read it to the very last page.

OMG! What a wild ride this book is. I read this in an afternoon and couldn’t put it down! My heart is pounding, and I’ve been on the edge of my seat the entire time. Lines Drawn is a fantastic conclusion to this duet. I didn’t want it to end.... and then it did and I’m so torn on whether I love the ending or hate it. I guess I’m okay with it, but I needed more. The time jump at the end of a book always get me. I wanted, NEEDED to be there for those first moments and I feel like I missed out. But I can deal. I just need another book with the story for the remaining character!

A perfect ending to this incredible series.
I fell in love with these characters and thought the end would be like most books but no I got the ending I was hoping for and I'm so happy. I love Gavin.

I read both books in one day, I just couldn't put them down.
I'm not gonna say more, this series needs to be read.

It was an alright read. I kind of got tired of the back and forth drama between all the friends. I'm not happy with how the author change Finlay's character and Antonia after awhile got on my nerves. Towards the end of the book was very scary. This is not the first book but this author I have read but, it's the first one that I found to be a so, so read.

Lines Drawn (Drawn To You #2) by Ker Dukey

***5 stars***

The queen of dark and angsty is back with the follow up to Drawn To You, and it couldn’t be better! Antonia is front and center, leaving my heart to bleed once again. She’s been through the wringer of life, and deserves that happiness we all seek.

What more can this poor woman face without legit going crazy? If her “family” has anything to say about it, she will be in a white padded room in no time. Talk about a monster of a bombshell being dropped right in her lap!

Finley is struggling to find his way, making some mistakes, ticking people off, yet I feel for him every step of the way. Gavin keeps me laughing and wishing I had a best pal like him in my life, and it doesn’t hurt he’s a hottie! Gaby is a mess of emotions, trying to find her way, and the decisions put before her would make anyone’s head hurt.

A must read for all Ker Dukey fans, a definite page-turner with twisty surprises throughout the whole story. Loved it and will continue to be a fan of Ker’s unique story telling.

Well Damn....
Lines Drawn by Ker Dukey is a nutshell. Lot's of angst and heartbreak that will leave you in tears and very frustrated. It's one big rollercoaster, so hang on the ride is endless.

Finley and Antonia were each-others rock.
They are terrible for one and another but perfect in every way.
But their love story isn't an easy one.
It's complicated, and downright messy.

Although I did like the first book, Lines Drawn was a difficult read. It was one thing after another with Antonia and Fin. Nothing would ever go in their favor. This book is just a sad, depressing, storyline. But it is Ker Dukey at her best, stomp on your heart over and over again. You think you can't take anymore blows to the chest, she gives you a life shattering moment that will leave you balling your eyes out.

Me to my friend Jodie "I'm reading Lines Drawn. I'm 63% in and don't know if I can be bothered to finish it. I think I've lost my mojo"

me just over an hour later (talking to myself, always the easiest option!)....

Ker f#cking Dukey...What have you done to me? Im a mess, I've got to go on the school run soon. I cannot believe you did that. My heart was in my mouth. You just had to, didn't you? Flipped it all up on its arse and caused my bottom lip to tremble.
You, author you! Grrr...

(Yes, I'm a nut job! It helps quieten the voices in my head!)
So, she's done it again. I've gone from meh to ohhh to arrrghh to aww.
Properly carried along with the momentum of this book over the last 40odd%. It's gritty and heartbreaking and just totally adorable.

Definitely a Ker classic.

Disappointed

Where to begin. Well Antonia turned into a self centered bitch. Poor Finley really did a lot of growing up in this one and really did try to be there to support her but she was so intent on her self pity all she did was blame him for not being stronger to pull her at of it. Then act all jealous when he got attention from other women. Then Gavin, yes I really liked him but I think he should have been more supportive of Finley because he was hes best friend not hers and then getting with her in the end that's wrong to. He knew how much she meant to finley even though the weren't together. Seems to me she broke up a great group of friends that had been together a long time all because she wanted a fresh start. Sadd really !!!!

Super Angsty!

This story is heartbreaking, this story is frustrating, but through all that angst you find a truly amazing conclusion to a nail-biter of a story. I will not tell you if there's a happy ending, that would be considered a spoiler in this case, and I only spoil things for myself. I will tell you, however, that I was okay with how it ended, and some things happened the way I wanted when to. The first book was ok, but this book was amazing! I would definitely recommend the story to othes.

Once again Ker Dukey has left me in shambles. The stunning conclusion of Lines Drawn will leave you on the edge of your seat right from the beginning. She starts off in the future leaving you worried the entire book but then jumps right into where Drawn To You left off. HFS what a crazy angsty joy ride this book was. There's passion, betrayal, thrills, love, hate and so many other emotions that will leave you reeling right up until the end. Every question from book 1 is answered and will leave you in shambles. This was one crazy emotional Ker Dukey ride.

This was an excellent read. It felt a lot less rushed than the 1st book, and I really appreciated everything being slowed down. I got to appreciate the characters and the story so much more in this book. If someone were to ask me about this series, I would say to read it, if not only to read this book. This was heartbreaking and endearing. I loved the way it ended, also. The writing is way closer to what I'm used to from Dukey.

After reading the first one and before starting to read this, I had a look at the reviews and although some warned that if we wanted a HEA between Finlay and Antonia we stopped in the first book, but I’m very curious and a bit of of masochist I decided to read the second.
I cannot say that I regret having read it, bc that would be a huge lie, but I also feel a bit desolate about how things were developing, see how the love that these 2 characters felt ended up shattering into a million pieces... It’s the only reason why I don’t give it 5⭐️, bc it 💔💔💔.
A good thing is to see Gavin as something more than a womanizer, it turns out to be a true friend for Antonia in her most difficult moments.
“Everyone gives Gavin a hard time, and he’s a crude, horny man, but there’s so much more to him that people don’t see. There’s a warm, supportive, loving man who accepts everyone else for their choices or their faults, yet everyone doesn’t reciprocate that. Without Finlay here, Gavin stepped up and has been a rock for me. There’s no way I would be this relaxed and finding a balance in my life once more if it wasn’t for him.”

Here you have some passages of what awaits you if you want to go through the pain and loss of a great love:

“I know Finlay plans on having me at home, tied to the baby’s crib. His possessiveness is at an all-time high. It’s been an emotional few weeks, and although truths were revealed, the pain of it all is still raw, nerves frayed, and I’m not sure how we’re going to move past it. All I know is I love Finlay; I only breathe to love him. I swipe my hand over the crisp white sheets of the hospital cot; the cotton is rough and firmer under my palm than my own sheets. I’m not in Finlay’s bed. I’m not happy. I’m not pregnant.”
“ I don’t want to lose Finlay, and this dark entity inside me is like a virus, poisoning my mind, telling me I will lose him if I don’t perk up, let the past go, and be the fun, sexy girl he fell for.”

"I love you more than anything, and all I’ve ever wanted is to be with you and make you happy. When we lost the baby and you needed time to deal, I found that hard. It was like I lost you as well. Julie said I slept with her.”“WHEN?” I scream. “The day I came home from the hospital! Is that what kind of man you really are?”“Please forgive me. I’m so sorry.” “No! Don’t you dare ask me for forgiveness! There is none.” “I hate myself for letting this happen, Antonia,”“Well, that makes two of us then, because I hate you too.”

They think they can keep firing me with bullets of betrayal, but I’m not bulletproof. The wounds are soul deep and I’m bleeding out. “If I could wash away the past and let a new tide bathe over me so I never had to know the sting of heartbreak I would. The love isn’t worth the pain.”

“I gave it too much power over me. Finlay took all I had and executed me with it.”“When you suffer a betrayal from someone you love, it can leave you questioning a lot of things, and happiness or peace seems to be an impossible feat. But you’re stronger than you think, and you have the power to heal. This hopeless sadness you feel will pass.”

“It kills me that I did this to us. To you.” “But that doesn’t change the fact that you did. Intended or not, Finlay, let’s face it. We hurt each other and fell apart. Love should be easier than this. To love each other and then break each other’s hearts takes its toll on the soul. How much can one withstand before it fades and becomes lost, jaded, and spoiled? I don’t want to be lost forever, to feel this pain forever, and for that, I need you to let go because I may be able to someday forgive you, but never what you did. It’s over.” How can we tolerate so much pain and agony without actually dying from it? Her words slay me so deep the scars will never fully heal. It’s really the end for us.

You know you faithfully loved someone when you can’t hate them, even when they break your heart. In anger I may have told him I did, and even believed it in the moment, but I could never hate him because love is the more dominant emotion and it overrules what I want to feel. You know you faithfully loved someone when you can’t hate them, even when they break your heart. In anger I may have told him I did, and even believed it in the moment, but I could never hate him because love is the more dominant emotion and it overrules what I want to feel.

“I don’t want to be the person you settle for, or use to forget. I want to be the one you ache for, the one you can’t bear the thought of waking up without. Because that’s what you are for me.”When the sorrow and obscurity close in, I look for hope in the beauty of the world around me. When it’s dark and no one is around, the moon still shines and the stars still sparkle, so even though some days I struggle, I can close my eyes and know there’s still a spark inside me, shimmering, fighting the demons, the darkness. And if my light ever dims, Gavin’s burns bright enough for us both.

Excellent end to the story

I'm just blown away by the way the story developed in such an unpredictable way but at the same time it felt so right. The ending for Antonia and Finley despite such a fierce chemistry between them is something I suspected could happen but never believed that the author will choose that. I don't want to give more details because it'll spoil it for others because it is so worth reading. The book kept me glued to the story until the very end.
The best thing for me was the fact that despite two main characters Antonia and Finley this two books were about all the friends really, they all played an important role in story development, the dialogues between them were brilliant and so entertaining and meaningful, story pace just right and ALL characters so believable, real, loveable and close to the heart. As much as the first bok was simple story that changes in the second book where there are big twists an turns that change everything.

Overall excellent reading experience that I strongly recommend to others. Both books deserve 5 plus stars!

A tragedy That Tears Apart a Relationship. Plus a Killer

This is a psychological thriller that centres around
Antonia.
She is in a relationship with Finley, the story starts with them excited over the fact they are pregnant.

They are deliriously happy until.... Antonia miscarries.
The tragedy puts untold strain on Finley and Antonia’s relationship.
Throw into the mix an exes psychopath brother, Jackson, who stalks and is fixated on Antonia.,
Gavin, the nightclub owner, bestie with both Finley and Antonia, who finds himself becoming more, and more fond of Antonia’s and involved in her life,
A mix of friends and relatives that surround the couple having their own relationship dramas, that only adds to the pressure.

The book builds as we read different chapters from the POV of Antonia, Finley and Gavin towards a climactic ending.

This wasn’t a bad read.
I actually liked all these characters.
Ker has great insight into character development, no matter how small a part they play in the story.
Although, the ending was inevitable, I still enjoyed the little tiny twist at the end.

I hate the ending! It's not what I expected! Ker you disappoints me! I expected Antonia and Fin to have a happy ending not for her to end up with Gavin. Fin sells his father's business and decides to travel. Utter crap. After he worked so hard to keep his father's legacy alive. He had one drunken night sleeping with Julie. And then he conviniently developes amnesia ever doing it. It's just priceless. I expected the two main characters to get married and get pregnant again after losing their first baby. Not for them to drift apart and become like strangers. Even after Antonia found out about Fin's stupid supposedly one night of intoxicated thryst with Julie. And she pushed Fin away, I still expected him to fight for their relationship. Lines drawn is a huge disappointment to me. (Two characters who is suppose to be so in love and couldn't get enough of each other just goes their separate ways like it's nothing) sad emoji face.

***DONT READ MY REVIEW MAY RUIN BOOK FOR YOU******... This is a dnf for me... Nor because it's not amazing but because I can see where this is heading no more than 35% into it... Why does Antonia have to be such a immature rymes with witch? Ugh... And just ugh... Poor Fin.... I knew the author was going to do this... I mean
I'm all for angst and surprises, but not quite like this.... Fin and Antonia needed to communicate and I blame Antonia for what I can obviously see coming.... As said in my first review of Drawn to You.. If I had a smidge of this two not being together I was not finishing...... Welp I'm not finishing..... Why does the female always get the awe why her and the male ( my Fin) get the shaft...... Ugh.... I will still rate it high because I know it was as amazing as book 1...but for me where I see this heading... I'd rather not finish... #TEAMFIN

Mixed feelings

I really loved the storyline of this book. It’s very well written, and easy to read in one setting. Through most of the book I was hooked. The mystery behind who is responsible for Antonia’s incident keeps you wanting more. There’s definitely a few twists and turns on the road to find out who it was. I loved each character in the story. Antonia and Finlay have a love most people can only dream of. Antonia’s past comes back to haunt her causing several obstacles for them to overcome. Will Finlay win Antonia’s heart back, or has too much happened? I for one was team Fin the whole way. Antonia’s indecisiveness annoyed me slightly towards the end of the book and I struggled to like her in the end. Hopefully more of the other characters stories will develop in future books.
