She’s always been on the outside of love, looking in…
After years of struggling to make ends meet, Emma Williams finally lands a job that suits her perfectly—she enjoys her work, likes her new boss, and especially loves knowing her first paycheck is coming just after Christmas. That is, if she lasts that long. Because Logan Crenshaw, the creative force behind the company, doesn’t seem to want her there.
Not being wanted is nothing new for Emma…but she doesn’t know what she’s done to make Logan stalk around the office, growling every command as if her very presence infuriates him. She can’t afford to lose this job, so her plan is to keep her head down and try to avoid any contact with him—no matter how big and sexy and unavoidable he is.
But a Santa hat full of names, an office gift exchange, and one unexpected knock at her door are about to shake up all of her plans…
Warning: This super-hot holiday romance contains Santa hats, red satin blindfolds, and an obsessed alpha male who talks dirty and knows exactly what to do with his big hands. Lots of swearing. No cheating, no cliffhangers.
Kati Wilde is a tight-lipped, loose-hipped woman of indeterminate age and low breeding. Born into a very large family, she now has a very small family (no laws were broken in this transition), and she writes romantic fiction to assuage her darker urge to write Transformers erotica. She lives in Oregon, so most of you are safely far enough away, and has two old cats.
Kati writes the Hellfire Riders MC romance series and will be publishing her first New Adult novel, Going Nowhere Fast, with Berkley later this year.
About Our Series:
The Motorcycle Clubs series is for romance readers who want all the heat and emotion, but who don’t have all of the time. At this time, we are only publishing novellas — our intention is to provide readers with short (yet satisfying) MC romances. Sometimes we might continue one couple’s story over several novellas, but each individual novella will have a satisfying romantic resolution. Because they are short, we focus the stories on the eroticism and romance, and will be building the MC worlds as each series progresses.

Read too many times to admit. This is my fave Xmas read like the perfect pair of comfy knickers!
“Emma Williams, I’d bring you a thousand trees for just one taste of your lips.”
Convinced that her boss’s son hates her for no apparent reason, Emma is keeping a low profile. She desperately needs this job because she is barely making ends meet and intends to keep it all costs.
Emma has accepted long ago that kindness doesn’t come without a price and she has very little expectations. But with a little help from Santa, this Christmas season may prove that her circumstances are meant to get better.
Logan Crenshaw doesn’t understand why his new staff member Emma shies away in his presence, until he does. His growly and gruff exterior is something she needs to get used to because he intends to make her his.
“Not Logan,” is his gruff reminder. “I’m your Secret Santa. And there’s nothing I want more than to finish this, baby. But when I fuck you, it won’t be part of an exchange.”
Throw in a Secret Santa, a fur trimmed blindfold and candy cane knee highs, this was a delectable Christmas read. A gorgeous lumberjack and damsel in distress romance. Perfect to melt the most cynical of hearts.
I'm a huge fan of Christmas romances and generally by now I'd have worked my way through loads of them but I've just not had the time to read this year but I noticed some good reviews coming through for his book I decided I'd have to give it a try. Now it's a Christmas romance so insta-love and sugary sweetness are more than welcome and while I'd complain at other times of the year I'm not complaining now. This is a fabulous Christmas romance and so much more than I expected, it's an emotional read which had me wiping happy tears while I was reading. So basically it's everything I look for in a Christmas romance. For Emma Williams life has always been hard, abandoned by her parents just after her birth, being raised in foster care she's always felt like an outsider, fighting for everything and life's a struggle, she's struggling to just keep her head above water to the extend where a $10 Secret Santa means a choice between gas or food. She has a new job that means the world to her but her boss's son Logan doesn't like her and she's no idea why. Logan wants Emma with a passion he struggles to control and unbeknown to him she's misinterpreted his looks of want and need as looks of dislike and therefore he has a lot of work to do to make his Christmas wish come true. As I've said this book was more than I expected, while it's an insta-love it's also so much more, there's no drama, no ex's, no cheating it's just a beautiful Christmas romance.
Pretty good! An extremely hot Christmas romance story. Many elements and not boring, but sort of drags on towards the end. Time to take a break from romance for a bit...
3 stars.🎅🎅🎅 Sexy Holiday read. A little to much insta love for my liking but other wise an entertaining read. Picked this up after reading the wonderful "The Wedding Night" also by Kati Wilde, so it suffered a little by comparison IMO.
Emma has been working at her new job for a few weeks. Logan, who works at the same company, knew that he wanted Emma right away but was trying to give her space as she adjusted to her new job. He seemed so intense when he was around her that she thought he hated her. After a few weeks, they finally have a real discussion.
I liked the characters, but I sometimes had trouble believing in their romance because it was pretty quick. I know that I would have liked this book better if the author made their connection more believable by slowing it down a bit.
“Oh my god,” she says. “You’re Beauty and the Beast- ing me.” I don’t understand any of that. “I’m what?” “From the Disney movie. You’re romancing me with a library.”
Logan and Emma are meant to be, and under the Christmas spirit, they are finally set to be!
I am so happy that my first Christmas read was right on point. This book is an easy and enjoyable read.
Sexy, a Bit of Cheesy but definitely so Lovely – And that’s all I ask for Christmas, really.
Thank you so much for the recommendation, Isabella!
"You like me saying I’m going to fill up your pussy with my thick cock? You like that dirty talk?” I guess I do.
And I do too because this book was HOT! I mean smoking HOT!
In fact, this book was the perfect little treat for me on my birthday.
However, while I enjoyed their realistic relationship and their story was just so sexy sweet, it was not perfect for me. I wanted more of an epilogue than a year later and a marriage proposal. Sorry, but I want it all and I want more.
Now, I could go on and on about this book and the whole story line, but I am pressed for time and I think this is one book that should be experienced without too much information beforehand. It's an easy read and relatively stress free. Rest assured that it's completely safe and did I mention extremely hot? I think I did, but it can't hurt to mention it again.
This was pretty damn cute! It definitely has a lot of insta-love elements, but it's done in a sweet way and I still enjoyed it despite usually not being a big fan of that trope — I guess in short romance formats like this, it just works better. I loved the holiday elements with the Secret Santa games and all, and despite a brief moment of drama/miscommunication, it's a pretty laid-back little story that focuses mainly on the steam.
This is a fun fast Christmas romance about Logan and Emma. Emma has had a hard life bouncing from foster home to foster home now that she's an adult Emma has plans to get her life in order. Her new job is just what she needs and it's perfect except for the bosses son Logan. Logan is gorgeous but for some reason Emma can't figure out Logan hates her. The second Logan saw Emma he knew he wanted her so when a situation arises that puts Logan in Emma's path he takes that opportunity.
With the yearly secret santa just around the corner Logan knows this is his chance to show Emma how he feels. Being close to Logan is hard, when Emma finds out his true feeling she couldn't be happier but she also isn't sure a good thing like this can really last. But Logan is determined and when he knows what he wants he sets out to get it.
This book was really fun, it's sweet and it's hot. Logan is a great hero once he see's Emma nothing else will do and he will do what he has to make her his. Emma is sweet and has been through a lot but is determined to have a better life. This is one of those books that is perfect not only because it's a fun read but also because it's a nice quick read when your really busy but still want to get some reading in.
If you've followed my reviews you know I don't give very many 5 star reviews. Typically there is something that always knocks it down. However I can't NOT give this book 5 stars! I absolutely LOVED it!
Logan was the perfect Hero. He was possessive and dominate but also incredibly sweet. Emma was a great heroine who never came across as whiny or TSTL. Plus, when the conflict came they talked it out like adults.
This was a short story so they came together rather quickly, but it didn't take away from the story line. Unlike some short stories these two didn't immediately jump into bed. The heroine was a virgin and the hero was experienced and while sex did happen decently quickly they got to know each other and played some before the big moment.
Overall it was a great little Christmas story with wonderful characters.
Having read and loved Wedding Night by this writer, I wanted to try another book from her and this was already on my Kindle so I read it but it fell short of my expectations.
First of all, I was upset to see that it was only 128 pages - nothing of that length would satisfy me.
Secondly, it has that gender inequality trope that I hate. Her being a virgin and innocent is emphasized all along the book in an exaggerated way. She was NOT a character but a "virgin p*ssy" all wrapped up for the hero as a Christmas present (her words, not mine) - so yikes!
Actually, she was sweet and he was endearing but that wasn't enough. There was neither enough character development nor a good enough plot line to make it interesting. Their relationship was too insta and not realistic at all and it was based on mainly sex. The emphasis being on her virginity and it being a gift to him killed it all for me.
Sweet holiday story. I loved Logan. Emma got on my nerves a bit with her "this is going to end" thinking. While I understand it, it just annoyed me. But overall, a bit of holiday cheer mixed with some smutty times. Just what Santa ordered ;)
This holiday season, I've been reading a lot of seasonal novellas. I saw this one on 2 of my GR friends' book shelf. I thought that I'd squeezed this one in before the year's end. This is the first book that I've read by Kati Wilde. This is a work place romance between Emma (the employee) and Logan (the owner/boss' son). Emma thinks that Logan hates her. He scowls at her. She THINKS that Logan is scowling. He just has the look of a rutting bull. Something like that. Marianne, the office manager even notices and mentions it to him. He's really HOT for her. Wow. Is he ever. This is 1st person alternating POV, so I found out pretty quickly that Logan WANTS Emma. There's a lot of dirty talk. Lots and lots. Logan is definitely hot for Emma. I said that. He's OTT. He's on the edge of sexy and pervy. Logan's character was less developed than Emma's. There was some detail of Emma's childhood. I thought that was the best part of this novella. Emma started off very meek and mild. She eventually gained some confidence. Emma was a dirty talker too. IMO, that didn't fit with her personality or her limited experience with men. This story wasn't just about Logan rescuing her from her hand to mouth existence. Emma showed that she has brains and talent at her job. There's an HEA and an epilogue. 3 stars. I read this through Kindle Unlimited.
Kati Wilde first drew me in with her Hellfire Riders series, a gritty biker series that I enjoy. I like the grit, action, and sexy shenanigans her characters get up to. Color me surprised for the second time this week when one of my action authors gives me a sweet, sexy Christmas read.
Emma was raised in the system and never having found her forever home, she’s made it through on her own her entire life. She’s a numbers person, finding her joy in a balance sheet where everything is structured and ordered. After being laid off for several months, Emma finally found a job she likes. The only issue is the super hot owner’s son who, even though he looks at her like he’s mad at her all the time, turns her into a blushing, blubbering fool.
I really liked Emma and her quirky love of numbers, Although shy with Logan and definitely the virginal type, who’s been knocked around by life a few times and was no bratty, dimwitted, simpering fool. She was strong, steadfast, and had a plan to dig herself out of the financial hole months of unemployment left her in.
As for Logan, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of him is “Yes, please!”. He was hot, broody, very skilled with his hands, and the epitome of the rutting bull he’d been accused of being around Emma. He knew what he wanted, he just had to figure out how to get past her fear of him. His secret Santa trick was unbelievably hot. In fact, I may need to do a reread of this sooner than later.
Secret Santa was short, sweet, and hot with the added plus of characters I liked. At least a little bit of action included in the story line would have fulfilled all my Christmas wishes for the perfect Holiday read, but this was very satisfying even without any grit.
Rating: 4 Yes, Please Stars.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I saw this book pop up on my feeds and thought to myself, well this sounds good and right up my alley for tonight's reading fest. I was completely hooked from beginning to end and I did not want it to end. This book was so sweet, the two MC's were a perfect fit and I just loved it. I have read a few of this author's books and have enjoyed them . So if you want a really sweet and quick read with a large dose of spice, this book is for you.Why a five star read, because nothing pushed the envelope that pissed me off, just a book that left me smiling.
Really loved this one! Typically I'm not a fan of insta-love or alpha heroes but I can deal with it when I just want a light-hearted festive read.
I loved the connection between Logan and Emma and while this was super steamy (exactly what I wanted after being disappointed by the lack of steam in Christmas Cliche), it wasn't all smut and both of them had actual personalities. Another fun, sweet and sexy Christmas read!
This is my second time reading this story and I can’t believe that I didn’t review it the first time around. I really liked Logan and Emma. Emma was such a kind, sweet person who worked hard for what she had. Logan was a very intense man who intimidated Emma with what she thought was him scowling at her. She thought he didn’t like her and she wanted to do her best to avoid him even though she was very attracted to him. Emma avoiding him was the last thing he wanted and he was going to prove to her that they were meant to be.
Safety and Spoilers Completely safe. No om/ow drama. Not much mentioned about H’s sexual history, just that we wasn’t celibate and the h is a virgin. Minor miscommunication drama near the end, no abuse.
This book had an extreme case of instalove. It also had a gorgeous 22 year old former foster child as the heroine. the sex was steamy. It made for a simple but cute holiday read.
This was short sweet and very fast pace.. boss/employee book.. Emma has had a tough life no parents has been jumping from foster home to foster home.. now she has a semi goodish life and a good job but she is still tight on money.. but she qlso has a crush on the boss's son who is a coworker lol.. and well she thinks he hates her from the looks he's been giving her... which is q misunderstanding since well Logan has been holding back.. he has wanted Emma since the moment she started working there but hasn't made a move.. but these secert santa gifts shall help push them together ;)
I know xmas books in feb lol sue me xD Low angst, No ow/om, No cheating, sexy times, dramaish not a manwhore and a virgin gal

I’ve noticed the busier I am, the stingier I can be with stars. Lmao… I used to give anything I generally enjoyed 4 stars.
——————————- ~BLURB~ MMC has liked FMC since she started working at his dad’s company (he works there too). He tries to talk to her but thinks she avoids him & doesn’t like him.
MMC - thinks she dislikes & avoids him FMC - thinks he hates her & is scary ——————————-
———•THOUGHTS•——— Started off strong & rlly digging the vibes👌. Then is took a leap & bypassed what I thought was potential to milk to tension of “he secretly loves her but she thinks he hates her”. After the jump, dialogue became cringy. Too ott sweet n gushy. (& for the record I fw sweet n gushy when done right which usually means … development). This was an insta love just without them using those terms right away.
❗️DISLIKES❗️ —the “big fight” at the end was so stupid & forced. when u try to force conflict as a reader we can feel its ingenuity = not being invested — Santa role play (….ya they make stupid jokes like “climb my Christmas tree”) — the beginning tension of “she thinks he hates her” lasted 2 secs then practically turned into instalove
INFO: short, holiday, spicy, insta, ott, fast paced
———•TROPES & SUCH•——— forbidden ⤷ tho not rlly 🙃 workplace ⤷ mostly takes place at FMCs apt or MMCs house 🏠 rich MMC x poor FMC ⤷ he wants to take care of her ♥️
some🎅 role play, blindfolds, oral, masturbation, condom use
———•SAFETY•——— Safe Virgin h No cheating No OPD HEA

I really liked this. Ms. Wilde has completely upended my reading plans because since I read her Mail Order Bride book, I can't seem to stop myself from seeking out her other work. She spends time spent on developing characters and giving a plot to her novellas. Mind you, still insta-love and smutty but the writing takes it a notch above. I appreciate the little extra that makes this a great little holiday read. I'd recommend it.
