Nothing was missed, VERY DESCRIPTIVE. This is/was, not a book that led straight to the bedroom. The twists were definitely unexpected but very much welcomed. As a budding writer I hope only to do the pen and paper as much justice with my writing as Mr. Horn did with this MASTERPIECE. WELL DONE SIR , WELL DONE. You have a new fan. Thank You for bringing those words and characters to LIFE.

Although this book is listed as being able to read for free via Kindle Unlimited at the time of review, I opted to purchase "Brush Strokes" due to a recommendation, in addition to knowing that Alvin L.A. Horn is synonymous with outstanding poetry.
I truly enjoyed 'Brush Strokes' because it was different. It isn't your typical work that is mundane. This is work that draws you in and allows the characters to stick with you long after you put it down. As demonstrated with previous works, Horn is an author to pay attention to, a poet to snap those fingers to, and what is missing from your literary catalogue ---- hopefully not after this review.
Great work by a great author --- check out his other work !

What a wonderful story! I just finished reading 'Brush Strokes'! This book is such an exciting read! I really got into the story once I realized I had met the main character Tylowe in my dreams hundreds of times! He is 'the cream of the crop'! There are non-stop thrills on every page. All the things I love are in this work of art; I visualize the colors and I can feel the warmth throughout. I couldn't read fast enough to find out what was going to happen next. This is Alvin's first novel and I had read his second book, 'Perfect Circle' already. I have gotten 'One Safe Place' and I am anxious to meet Tylowe again on those wonderful pages.
I am a huge fan of Alvin's work! I got this autographed copy from 'The Man' himself!
He has a way with words like no other writer I have experienced in my seasoned existence on

Alvin gives you a story of true love about a man name Tylowe that get hurt by a women that he knew for sure was his soulmate. Until he comes across a shocking episode where love fails him. Tylowe thought he would never love again until he goes on a modeling job. That's where he meets another lady that turns out to be the employer daughter. Meeah shows him that he can love again and all women is not the same.
The story starts off from the past and brings you to the future. The beginning starts off with a shocking bomb with a fast pace but in the middle the story lines slows down. But then it starts back up and ends with a bam! Over all for this to be the author first book I must say that he did a great job.

I loved this book, great debut novel! I love the locale of the story, wow Vancouver who knew...made me want to plan a vacation there. The main character "Tylowe" very sexy. Mr. Horn is very talented as a writer, but then an added bonus is his spoken word cd that comes with the book. Overall great read!
