This is a very good introductory book that this reader has gone on to use the techniques contained within. It explains in simple terms what depression is and does to the brain and techniques to quickly help relieve the stress. I picked this book up hoping it might help my son who was a born worrier, but it ended up helping me as well.
We both suffer from both depression and anxiety/stress. The breathing exercises contained in here, especially the deep breathing one really do work!
I have been practicing meditation for many years now, and when the pandemic started my employer offered twice weekly mediation sessions that last 20 minutes total. I have seen great success with this, but I am also needing daily sessions.
This book helps with that. Thanks to the author for writing this excellent book. It doesn’t take any time to read it, but I have kept it by me over the last several weeks and have read the deep breathing technique many times.
This is nothing more than a brief summary of the author's perspective on the benefits of meditation. It includes many undocumented claims from unnamed scientific research in support of his assertions. It reminds me of several self-published self-help books that I've seen written by motivational speakers so that they can add "author" to their resumes. At best, the only thing one can get from this book is a little motivation to learn more about meditation from other sources. Save yourself some time and go straight to a better, comprehensive book on the subject.
Just a water. Not a line that could be useful. Will not explain you a thing about meditation practice except very weird advertising of zen that will cure you, make you more successful smarter, faster, stronger... Another book from that author by this topic is not so bad
It tells you exactly how to do meditation and it’s benefits. So easy to understand, it’s not long but explains the basics pretty good. So that was good for me.
