However, they also have their shortcomings...For example, they аrе unаblе to associate thіngѕ thаt happened іn thе past wіth what is hарреnіng currently. Author subscribes to the old fashioned anti-scientific idea that people have to dominate their dogs and be their "pack leader", otherwise dogs will dominate them (as if the dogs don't know humans are not dogs)! This leads to some dreadful advice in this book in the form of "teach your children how to dominate dogs". Fearful dogs are the most dangerous dogs and can easily overpower children. This advice puts children in serious danger. Children should know how to be friendly with dogs and how not to provoke them instead.

Pretty much common sense

This book is great for first time dog owners. I wouldn’t waste the time or energy if you have trained a dog at all before.
