I can't believe it, how you just gone end it like that Sha. I was feeling so bad for how Karma was getting treated but was so happy when her knight and shining armor Kaine somewhat saved her. Jackie was really a sorry excuse for a mother, how could you treat your child like that. I love Karma and Lexus friendship you could tell they genuinely care for one another. I think part 2 will be really interesting because Tameka coming with she pregnant and Karma momma all of a sudden want to get in contact with her. I also think that it was not the last we will see Joe and Rick cause I think they out plotting. Overall great read ready for the next....

This book is listed as being the first book, however it is totally backwards. Tameka seems to have been a piece of work so I will have to read the other books to understand what is going on. I loved Lexus who was there to support Karma. Tameka was really cray cray and it was wrong what she did, however she did try to take advantage of Kaine and then try to come between him and Karma. In the end Tameka got exactly what she deserve.

OMG this was a great story
Karma went thru a hard life with a abusive mother. Karma life a stripper and being a prostitution to make ends meet to help pay rent to help her mother out with her ungrateful self. Karma and her best friend Lexus went to birthday party to dance and her and Lexus who meet the men who would change their life. Lexus met Dino and Karma met Kaine. One of Kaine friend named Rick offered her ride little did know she was in danger and his boys attack her and beat her up tried to rape her dump her out under a brutally beaten up. Kaine saw someone dumping some thing so he was on his way home and found her beaten and saved her from harm. He took her home and clean her up and give her some clothes to wear. In walks Tameka is jealous insecure fiancee she is definitely not please with this woman in her man face he was trying to help someone in need. Karma did feel comfortable with his fiancee and her girlfriend putting her down and walked out of Kaine house trying figure how to get home with her money are phone she devastated. Kaine offered her a ride and apologize for his fiancee rudeness and ask her address he took her home she thank him. Of course was waiting for her pacing to fuss at her about her rent money and verbally abused her Kaine offered her money for car payment. He gives Karma a stack of money and give her his phone number to call him. When he gets back to his house him and Tameka get into huge argument she breaks up with him. For some reason she is threatened by Karma and Kaine is tried of nasty attitude and refused to go thru anymore drama with stuck-up ways. Karma ended up calling him and thank him from helping her and wonder why he helped her when others wanted to her. Kaine and Karma ended up taking to her for hours. Karma was trying to figure out what he wanted from her she was definitely attract to him she felt like it was to good to be true. Kaine was intrigued by Karma and wanted to take care of her and keep her from harm. Tameka didn't like that Kaine didn't want to rekindle their relationship he was over her mess. Kaine want to get know Karma he so her as special and treated her like a Queen. Karma and Kaine were building a close relationship he felt a connection with her he didn't have with the other. He help her to find her true worth and saw the beauty within. Tameka was making Karma and Kaine life hell she was posted thing about her and him on social media it was crazy because she felt betrayed when she was the one who ended their relationship. Kaine appreciate Karma because he saw her struggle and her pain and how she kept doing what she had to do to survive. He asked her about a career and what she wanted do besides what she started out doing she wanted to go to film school. Kaine told Karma he wanted the best for her she deserved to be appreciated. Karma hate what she was doing in life her mother accepted her to take care of her and abuse her she was happy almost like she was jealous. After Tameka posted all things social media about them she was feeling some kinda of way she started doubt her relationship with Kaine and after they had a romantic weekend his car Windows busted out by his ex-fiancee who he didn't want anymore she felt that Karma wasn't good enough for Kaine with her nasty attitude and stuck up ways she took their relationship for granted and lose him to Karma. Kaine was pissed off about his car and how she a her girlfriend showed up at his boy Craig house try to start fighting Karma her girlfriend tried to jump her and Lexus wasn't haven't that and throw the first punch all hell broke lose. Kaine tried diffuse the situation by taking Tameka outside to calm her down she fight and scratch him up on his face she was so anger and couldn't accept he was with someone else that was a hard pill to swallow. Kaine and Karma had so many drama filled moments it was overwhelming with Tameka and her mother and her pimp Joe. Karma told Kaine she wanted to move out of her mother apartment he offered for her to move in with him. He came by her mother apartment he told her she have to trust him when he says nothing going between him and Tameka he ride with him to Craig house to pickup some money she freaked out when she saw a black hummer from the night of her attack. And tried to play it off she want to know who owned the SUV it was one of his boys Rick she went in with Kaine was holding Karma and introduce her has his lady Rick look at her and recognize her immediately he was shocked Karma was so uncomfortable and was ready to leave. Karma was having flash-back from the attack and bust out crying She didn't know how to explain to Kaine what she was going thru he was in panic. Kaine didn't know what to do he wanted to know what's was wrong she finally calm down he was in love with her. He tried to comfort her she told him she was moving out of her mom apartment wasn't go to pay her rent she couldn't tolerate her disrespectful ways abusive towards her .

Ok, so the only reason I didn't guve five stars is because I couldn't get over Karma being a prostitute. She had way to much brains for that, bad enough she was stripping. Then it's like she couldn't stand up for herself if it wasn't Lexus helping her it was Kaine. I feel for her character because she definitely had to endure a lot, but I feel like that prostituting is something she should have just avoided. I also don't understand why her and Lexus didn't just up leave and get their own place because Jackie was just beyond words. There is no way that is really Karma's mom she is way too evil to her for that. Tameeka is anothee evil thing. She was just a hot mess and that ending...Can't wait to jump into the next book and see her get dealt with.

First let me just say I love this book this off actually put into words the worst nightmare through the very hands of the person who gave birth to her ...Karma my hero was exploited not only by her own mother by the likes of Joe and every man that actually came in contact with her I truly believe when King came along it was nothing but circuits and by reading this book in the way it was presented to me that was one awesome story..... I love these two shit was well-documented in this book the process of their relationship as well as love that came confessed and the protection he placed ornhub I love it.. Out freaking standing job and check this out

I didn't see that as the ending of this book. Karma has been thru alot so I'm do glad that she is really happy. Her mother was doing too much n needed to go sit down somewhere. I'm glad she has someone to take care of her for a change. So now Kaine's ex appears n now she pregnant huh smh. I can't wait to read part 2. This was fire right here! 🔥🔥🔥

Booooooring! I couldn’t feel for Karma because she was an adult who chose to stick around and take care of someone who didn’t give a care about her. On top of that she was a prostituting stripper so again, a choice she made I wanted to finish this but it just wasn’t hitting. Kaine was a fool to even be drawn to her, I’m over it.

So first off Karma should of learn to stand up for herself. It was moments that she did but she mostly was stressed out throughout the whole book. Second Kaine ex was crazy as hell and I'm glad her ass died especially since she killed her baby. Lastly I'm happy the girls got their mothers back in their life.

I liked this series because you didn't have to wait for the lies to be revealed. I was mad at Kaine bc he believed her about the pregnancy without asking questions and it took him too damn long to change them code to the gate. That was ridiculous.

Excellent
This was my first read by Sha and it won't be my last! This book was excellent and I can't wait to read part two! Character and plot development was excellent and poor Karma just can't catch a break! Sha made me really hate Jackie for the way she treated Karma!

Great Read
Karma was going through hell and the only peace of mind she had was Lexus but even her best friend couldn't fathom what she was going through mentally. Jackie was a mess. As a mother you are supposed to protect your child but I guess that she didn't get that memo.

This was a pretty good read. I don't quite buy anyone being this easy about knowing a woman they're feeling was is currently a prostitute, then sleeping with her raw on their first encounter with no clean bill of health check first. Just seems far fetched to me.

Karma went through some serious trials. Her mother Jackie was heartless . She finally got some happiness with Kaine I love the way he treats her with respect and loves her for her no matter her past. I just knew tameka was going to being plotting something!!
