It's not only her fiercely burning attraction to the handsome stranger, though. Something about him isn't what it appears to be.
Something about him seems familiar.
But Dash isn't going to give up his secrets to anyone, and Ellie isn't going to run away from home with a stranger, no matter how searingly attractive he is. But when the memory of a first kiss comes screaming back, she must make the most agonizing decision of her life - and choose whether to give up everything she's known for a chance at true love.

Dash: A Secret Billionaire Romance by Lucy Lambert a fantastic five-star read. This book tells the story of Dashiell Beaumont is a man who runs away from his self, and everything he has built for himself, the company that has made him billions and all of his worldly belongings apart from an old bike he was fixing up and a few changes of clothes. His mother passes away and when he gets the call, he can no longer look at himself in the mirror, where did the kid who spent his childhood moving from place to place with the mother who was pretty much his world, they never stuck around in one place long enough to make friends, apart from once. Once he made a friend, but Dash and his mother left in the middle of the night he never saw her again. He sets off across the back roads of America without telling anyone causing almost hysteria as they think he has been kidnapped, he is hiding as he doesn’t want to go back. He avoids trouble and never gets involved, until one fateful day in a small town named Pleasant, Kansas. When he sees something that makes him realise he can’t walk away this time. Ellie Granger is just trying to get her laundry done, when her abusive Ex turns up and starts harassing her she tries to escape out of the back door and then comes up against his two buddies who try to pin her down for him to tackle. Ellie is a fighter and she won’t go down without a fight. Dash comes over and helps out taking on all three guys, and Ellie is surprised by how hot she finds it, but she isn’t used to being helped and this grates her. It drives her even madder when he won’t tell her any of his details; she doesn’t like inviting a stranger into her home but she has a strange feeling she knows him in some strange way. Will their story have a happy ending? Or will the fight and secrets be too much for them to keep going together, will Ellie be able to leave Pleasant and will dash ever want to stay in the same place.
Dash has made his fortune but all in one moment none of it matters. He realized he’s unhappy and that his current life is completely unsatisfying. He no longer knows who he is or what he wants, so on an impulse he takes the money from his safe and jumps on his motorcycle. Starting a cross country journey trying to find out who he is.
Ellie is a small town girl that has never been able to leave. Something has always held her back. Suddenly, a mysterious stranger rides into town and rescues her from potential harm. In that moment, it’s like a déjà vu moment where there’s recognition but no memory. Slowly, through moments and landmarks, they come to realize that they were sweethearts of sorts at the age of 12-13 years old.
Now, that Dash is back, he has every intention of keeping his girl but can he do that and find himself. When the threat comes from a small town sheriff and his abusive son, who is also Ellie’s ex-boyfriend. How far is Dash willing to will Ellie back, will he give up finding himself or is finding her the key to his future.
I enjoyed the book, it’s the first one I’ve read by Ms. Lanbert. It seemed a little slow and at times lacked the intensity but the story development was good and the story telling was easy to follow. I look forward to future books.
Dash: A Secret Billionaire Romance by Lucy Lambert is one of those types of romance reads that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end; the kind of romance that you are hooked on and saddened when the book is over. What you have is Dash Beaumont billionaire, running from his past to figure out what to do about his future. Ellie Granger, small town girl , is trying to deal with her past so she can have a future. Dash happens to be the “white knight” who comes into town and saves Ellie from a very horrible situation, something seems familiar when the two first meet. Something about this seems very familiar between the two , like they have done this before. When these two finally remember their past, the heat and the passion is undeniable, BUT can they make things work between them when people are trying to pull them apart and keep them apart—for good? I loved this story, for what each of them faced separately and together. The ending was not satisfying for it felt rushed but overall, this was a good story.
My Rating: 4. 6 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
This is the first book I have read by Lucy Lambert, and I am a fan. I really enjoyed this small town romance. It didn't have much smut (which was ok), but it did have a bit of a second chance romance feel to it.
Dash was an excellent hero and Ellie was and ever better heroine, she did tick me of though. I mean why would you stay in Pleasant when you literally have no ties keeping you there? Seriously you know that the sheriff and his son are trouble with a capital T.
I was a bit disappointed in the ending of the book. It seemed a bit rushed. But regardless I will be reading more books from this author. She has snagged a new stalker :)
Dash and Ellie are alot alike and have things in common, for one they have both lost both of their parents. Dash a big time CEO grew up to do exactly as he wanted to become something of himself and he did and he never looked back. Ellie a woman who has grown up in her small town and never left even after she lost her father passed away, now with Dash on the run from his life and Ellie trying to figure out what she wants to do in her life, will she choose to leave her small town or stay, will Dash leave and go back to his life?
What I enjoyed most about Dash is watching two very lost people trying to decide what they want in their lives and if they are willing to go after it to have their happily ever after. Watching Ellie make the best out of the worst that is in her life as far as her ex and seeing Dash coming to see what he really wanted in life and fully knowing both sides and how it isnt always greener on the other side. Watching the both of them grow this bond between the two of them.
This book is so sweet with the added danger of an ex and his gang of friends, that will keep you reading as you need to know what is going to happen. This book has Ellie a woman who just lives life the best she is given in the circumstances she is in, Dash a man who one day couldnt take the life that he had built up for himself and had to get out there with practically the clothes on his back, with a Sheriff and an ex that are related to guarantee to not leave Ellie and Dash alone they worry his secret is bond to get loose sooner then latter. If you like stories like this, then Dash is a must!

This was the first book of Lucy Lambert's that I've read and I was in no way, shape, or form disappointed. I plan to read more of her books in the near future. She's a fantastic author. I would classify the story as a second chance romance and it was hot, sweet, and really romantic. Dash is on the run from who he is and as you learn more about him and his background, you can fully understand why he just up and left. My heart was hurting for him. In his travels, he happens to find himself in Pleasant, Kansas where he steps in to stop Ellie's abusive boyfriend. The scene where he saves her had me weak in the knees and pushing for a HEA between the two of them. The book does end in a HEA and it's one that had me vocalizing my excitement for the couple. On a side note: I may or may not have scared my dog when I was done with the book. The sex scenes were amazing, and I had to fan myself a time or two. Dash is the perfect combination of a wounded, dominant, yet sweet Alpha male and Ellie is his perfect match. You won't be sorry if you pick up a copy of this book, I promise!
4.5 stars Excellent contemporary billionaire romance. Ellie lives a hard life in a run down, tired town. Her ex-boyfriend is abusive and won't leave her alone. Dash comes into town on his motorcycle and comes across an altercation between Ellie and her ex. Ellie and Dash feel like they've met before but can't figure out why. She has never left her small town and he's traveled across country on his bike. The story has intrigue, some suspense, character growth and romance. This book has a second book included that I've previously read & reviewed. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
Dash has left his life behind in search of something ... but he doesn't know exactly what. His search leads him back to a town where he lived briefly as young teen.
Ellie just wants to live her life without the abuse and control of her ex - Bobby.
Their paths intersect outside the laundromat in Pleasant, Kansas. The pull of their attraction and sexual tension is magnetic and for some reason they can't separate themselves from each other.
As Dash work desperately to remember and stay hidden their relationship grows. Just as the past returns - they both know he can't stay and that he must return to his life some time. He can't stay - She won't go - is there any way for their relationship to survive?
Honestly, I'm not really fond of "Billionaire" stories - I do try them every now and then just to see if they break pattern. I am so glad I gave this one a chance. This was much more of a second chance, finding yourself story than the typical Billionaire fare.
The relationship between Ellie & Dash was toe-curling, thigh clenching good. The connection between them was something neither could fight or deny. Loved the HEA and that the bad guys get their "comeuppance"!
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy.
On the run..., This review is from: DASH: A Secret Billionaire Romance (Kindle Edition) Billionaire Dash Beaumont escapes real life for a while after the loss of his mother. He ends up in a town he's long forgotten until a woman from his past rekindles his memory. An excellent read, I'd love to hear about their life in NY. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Dash takes off on his motorcycle the night he finds out that his mom has died trying to find his place. He rolls through a town called Pleasant and feels drawn to it. He comes across Ellie who is trying to leave her abusive ex boyfriend Bobby and Dash comes in trying to help but its not that simple, his dad is the sheriff of the town. Good read for me even though it really didnt grab me and hold my attention.
************ I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book and this did not sway my opinion in any way possible. *************
This was the first book that I read by this author and I was really excited to review it because I love reading new authors and it sounded good. As soon as I started reading it I was sucked in from the beginning. I wanted to know who Dash was and why he was running and what on earth he thought he needed to find. I also found it fascinating that he ran away from his career and life and wanted no part of it. I had to keep reading to find these things out it was killing me.
I also wanted to learn more about Ellie and her past and was hoping and rooting for her and Dash the whole way. There were many times when I laughed while reading this and then there were times when I was yelling at the characters. I seriously thought that Bobby, his friends and father were dicks and they were the reasons I would yell at the book and characters. If I could have reached through my kindle app I would have beat some sense into them. I am not a violent person but seriously. If someone should be punched in the face, it should be them.
Anyway........There were some incredibly sweet moments throughout the book that were just adorable. Some of the memories are just so stinking cute I could almost picture them playing as a movie in my head. They were some of my favorite parts of the book.
Okay now for the steam scenes. These happened throughout the book, they involved wobbly legs, bedroom eyes, sweat and "hungry like the wolf grins". That is all I am going to give because if you want to see how hot they're together then, you'll have to read it yourself. Seriously. I don't know what you're waiting for. Just get the book already.
Dash is running away from everything. When he saves Ellie from some trouble, the sparks fly. But there is something familiar about him. Can she figure out what? This story was definitely interesting and kept me hooked throughout. I highly recommend it! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Dash a billionaire on the run to escape the life he had in New York. He goes through this town of Pleasant in Kansas. As he is riding through he sees a women being harassed so he intervenes. Emma has been trying to get away from her abusive ex boyfriend. Dash of course helps her. The sex scenes were amazing...to find out what happens in between all of this I would recommend this book.
It also comes with a bonus story Anyone He Wants. A Billionaire Romance which is also hot & steamy.
Dash is a billionaire who flees his way of life after learning of his mother's passing. He goes back to Kansas to a small town where he lived for a time when he was a teen. While there he reconnects with Ellie. This book is good! It had just enough excitement and story to capture me. This is my first book that I have read by Ms. Lambert, and I plan to check out more books that she has written.
After his mother's death, Dash realizes how empty and shallow his life has become. Leaving everything behind, Dash takes off in search of something , anything , to fill the void. Ellie is a spunky heroine , smart , witty and greatly lacking the old brain to mouth filter- getting her in trouble at every turn. A romantic journey bringing the past and the present together in a heartfelt down to earth romance. I received a free copy of this book .
Dash is a millionaire in search of his future while running from his past. When he's mother passes, he leaves everything behind & climbs on his motorbike & takes the road. Ellie's a small town girl. When she's in a difficult position, Dash helps her. They both realise they know each other from way back. Will they get their HEA?
I have to admit, a big reason I chose this book was for the title. My son's name is Dash, and for the same reason given in the book. But that has no bearing on my review...
The characters were the most enjoyable part of the book. I loved Ellie. I love strong-willed, smart-mouthed heroines that know how to stand up for themselves, and she was that to a "t". And I loved Dash. He was sort of alpha, but still realistic and down-to-earth. His back story is a good justification for his reason of running. I felt so much sympathy for his dilemma. It just made sense to me. The plot was pretty solid. Ellie's ex-boyfriend and his father were well written as yellow-bellied d**chebags.
I only really have two complaints about the book. I noticed a few times that the narrative went from first-person in one paragraph, to third-person, then back again. I think I caught three moments of that. I understand typos, I even understand the possibility of how that can happen, but it really pulls me out and honestly, it confuses me. I had to reread a few times to understand what was being said since the narration switched the view points. The editor really dropped the ball on that one. My second issue was with the ending. Super sudden with little closure. *SPOILERS* The last scene before the epilogue was of them running from the sheriff and Bobby. Then it jumps to the epilogue and vaguely mentions how Ellie has moved with Dash to NYC, but they're about to travel somewhere (for what, no clue) and she clearly still has anxiety and issues with being out of Pleasant. I didn't need the whole marriage and babies ending, but I did wish for a little more convincing that they would get their HEA.
Dash Beaumont won't allow himself even a moment of happiness, not after his life imploded and he took off for the open road, leaving everything he knew behind. He's searching for something. What? He's not really sure, he just wants to know who he was before he became a hot shot billionaire. He can't let anyone know who he is… so he becomes a vagabond, out on the open road… just him and his bike. That is until he rolls into a familiar town and steps into an altercation and plays hero… but he can't help but feel a connection to this 'damsel in distress’.
Ellie Granger knew the sort of men who interested her weren’t the sort of men she should be with, but this stranger intrigued her. He's got questions about himself...about who he is...who he wants to be. After one kiss, Ellie knows she's part of him figuring it out. There is an undeniable connection between Ellie and Dash… one that feels familiar and right.
The truth he finds in the town of Pleasant, are things he didn't even know he was looking for. Pleasant was a doorway to a past that he’d done his best to leave behind. But what does that make Ellie? Part of his past? Or will she be part of his future?
This is a story of second chances and the hand that fate plays in our lives when we need it most. It's about rediscovering who you are and what you need. I loved the dynamics of Dash and Ellie. She's a spitfire who needs a man to help her let go of restrictions and Dash is a hunky billionaire who needed a blast from the past to figure out the man he can become. This story had me enraptured from page one and is a definite must read for those who love bad boy romances.
Dash is on the run. He is running from his life, his responsibilities and is searching for something elusive. He doesn't know yet exactly what it is he searches for but hopes he will know when he finds it.
Ellie is just a small town girl dealing with the loss of her father and an abusive and insistent ex. She doesn't have much but what she has she takes care of. When another encounter with her dimwit jerk ex forces her to choose between leaving almost her entire wardrobe still soaking in the washer at the laundromat or sticking around to be accosted by Bobby again she decides to fight.
When Dash drives through yet another town on his journey to nowhere in particular he stops to help a woman in distress not realizing that this town and this woman could be the very thing he has been searching for.
A sensually sweet romance with strong tones of second-chance love and delicate fade-to-black love scenes, DASH: A Secret Billionaire Romance was a VERY enjoyable read!
I went into this book not remembering what the blurb said it was about. Lucy gives you a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end of this book. Dash has secrets but so does Ellie.
Dash is a billionaire who is on the run. but for me going into this book i didn't remember all of that so I was literally turning page after page trying to find out what he was running from. But Dash lands in a town that he remembers from his past. Ellie is that small town girl who grew up there and will never leave there. But when Dash comes into her life hes so familiar but yet not.
The heat and passion between these two is undeniable from the moment they meet. But there is something neither of them can quite put their fingers on about the other one. Like they are familiar to one another and have met before.
Can Ellie get over her fear of leaving her small hometown? Will Dash tell Ellie the truth on who he is? Can they make it work between the two of them or will their current lives and the people in it keep them apart? Can Dash stop running?
Amazing read, cant wait to read more from Lucy Lambert in the future.
Dash is a billionaire businessman who is on the run. When he gets a call for his estranged mother, he just leaves his previous life with no explainations and takes off on his motorcycle. When he reaches Pleasant, Kansas, he sees a woman being roughed up. Even though he doesn't want to get involved, he still finds himself rescuing her. Ellie has lived in Pleasant all her life. She is being harassed by an ex-boyfriend who corners her one day. She is saved by Dash but now her ex is going after both off them. The ex is also the son of the local sheriff who allows his son to do whatever he wants. Ellie is drawn to Dash and he seems familiar. She won't change her life for a stranger. She is also afraid to leave town. The hero is trying to deal with his past and a lot emotional issues. Will he stop running or will Ellie run with him? This is a good book with an instant attraction and lots of steam. Even though Dash has lots of money, he isn't conceited or demanding. He comes to care for Ellie. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my review.
I received this ARC book free in exchange for a voluntary honest review. What would your life be like if you just left everything behind, no cares, no worries, and no past. But the past rarely stays behind and will creep up on you when you least suspect it. The past will haunt you, and make you stay in the familiar hiding from the present. The past can also make you seek out what you miss and will follow you until destiny can be fulfilled. Dash is the story of Ellie, who has never left town, scared to fly after her father's untimely death. Then there is Dash, who gets a reminder that leaving the past behind can cause heartache and pain, he leaves his life behind to search for his allusive "something". They both meet when Ellie is trying to get away from her ex and from then on the electricity between them is powerful. However there is a forgotten memory of a time in the past that links them together. Is this enough to push Ellie out of her nest or will Dash run away from himself again?

When he gets there he walks into a mess and Ellie a girl from his past is right in the middle of it.
