This book tells the story of Dashiell Beaumont is a man who runs away from his self, and everything he has built for himself, the company that has made him billions and all of his worldly belongings apart from an old bike he was fixing up and a few changes of clothes. His mother passes away and when he gets the call, he can no longer look at himself in the mirror, where did the kid who spent his childhood moving from place to place with the mother who was pretty much his world, they never stuck around in one place long enough to make friends, apart from once. Once he made a friend, but Dash and his mother left in the middle of the night he never saw her again. He sets off across the back roads of America without telling anyone causing almost hysteria as they think he has been kidnapped, he is hiding as he doesn’t want to go back. Ellie is a fighter and she won’t go down without a fight. Dash comes over and helps out taking on all three guys, and Ellie is surprised by how hot she finds it, but she isn’t used to being helped and this grates her. It drives her even madder when he won’t tell her any of his details; she doesn’t like inviting a stranger into her home but she has a strange feeling she knows him in some strange way.
