Heller On Wheels

Rate this book
Heller has worked her butt off to become someone respected in her field. With that, she has also had to fight to stay on top of her game. In an environment of prominently macho males, she has hidden a part of herself. She might not be the gullible, frightened girl she once was, but her hidden desires have had to be tamped down and buried. She never wanted to revisit her past, but she doesn’t have a choice when the one person in her life who made a difference, leaves her with an inheritance that could make her dreams come true. Too bad it’s back on her old stomping grounds. Tyler Foster has met his perfect match, except she is like no woman he has ever met before. As a small town sheriff, he does not make exceptions. Celebrity or not, she has to toe the line like everyone else. Heller Tandy is not the sweet, ultra-feminine woman of his dreams. She comes out fighting, with little regard for her safety, and she sees no boundaries or danger.
He quickly discovers she is a woman who can be both strong and vulnerable. She isn’t what most people believe her to be. With discovery comes love, and with love comes commitment and discipline. She may think she is invincible, but he is there to teach her differently. If it takes a reddened bottom to teach her right from wrong, he’s the man for the job. He is also man enough not to use her, but to teach her the nuances of love. This book contains the spanking of adult women, sexual scenarios, and elements of power exchange. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase.

Another winner

A fantastic book, once again, from this author. I just love the length, which allows the author to create such believable characters with so much depth. I am never disappointed with the plot, the characters and the supporting characters, suspense, danger, romance and love. This author is an automatic buy for me, give this book a read for yourself and you'll see why.

I have read some Dd books that were completely boring. Not this one. I really liked Heller. She was strong, independent, smart, and she always stood up for herself. She didn't cave. Yet, she allowed Tyler to take the lead, and allowed herself to lean on him.

This book was about domestic discipline, but that was just part of the story. It was also a pretty good mystery, suspense romance with some danger thrown in to add to the excitement. This book was a little longer, which I thought was great! You actually got a chance to really get to know the characters. Poor Heller had so much going on, I was exhausted for her.

I do recommend this book unless you are offended by the consensual spanking of adult women. If you are, leave this alone.

This book is amazing! The author has a wonderful storyline with crime, mystery, and a domestic discipline romance. Heller grew up on the wrong side of the track with a mother that had a horrible reputation. She has spent her life trying to escape not only their small town, but a reputation she did not earn. Tyler Foster grew up in this same small town but on the right side of track. He left town after he grew up but came back and became sheriff. Once the independent and stubborn Heller Tandy moves home and starts dating Tyler the rollercoaster begins. Heller inherits a business and home from, Joe Bradford, one of her mother's old boyfriends. Joe took Heller under his wing years ago and was the only father figure she knew. Danger begins to surround Heller and Tyler is determined to protect Heller, even if it is from herself. Along with the many dangers that seem to find Heller, there are many characters such as Mick, Daisy, Joanne, and Dean all add to the story and keep things interesting.
This can't put down book seamlessly encompasses many issues in life such as cancer and the financial ramifications that go along with it, dysfunctional family relationships and how to deal with moving forward in spite of their challenges, as well as greed, crime, and personal safety. Not to worry though, this author included a lot of mystery, intrigue, hot sex, plenty of spankings, and above all else, love. I highly recommend reading this can't miss book!! I really enjoyed reading this story of Heller Tandy and Tyler Foster's romance. Heller had a very difficult upbringing. She and her sister, Daisy were raised by Cora, a single mother with an addiction to gambling and drugs. Heller's passion for mechanical engineering together with her love of restoring classic cars, brought her to the attention of Big Joe Bradford, a local garage owner who recognised in her a similar obsession for restoring classic cars to his own. He became her mentor. With his help and encouragement, he gives her a ticket out of the small town of Pawhuska, Oklahoma so that she can study and eventually become one of the best mechanical engineers in her field. Between that and her own patented inventions, she has become extremely successful and wealthy in the intervening years. Heller returns to Pawhuska only after the death of Big Joe. He has left her as sole beneficiary of his considerable business interests. She meets Tyler almost immediately. He is the quintessential alpha male with a strong protective instinct. She is tough and thoroughly independent yet the attraction between them is undeniable. There are all sorts of plot twists and turns as the sparks fly between Heller and Tyler together with sub plots and delightful susidiary characters. I highly recommend this book.

Just no!

This book was very hard to finish...I skipped the entire epilogue because I just couldn't take it anymore. This may be one of the only 2 ratings I've ever given a book...here's why.
***SPOILERS***
First it was a boring story line. Girl from wrong side of track does good and becomes rich and famous...meets small town sheriff and insta lust...and it just went downhill from there. The author jumped from character to character in the same chapter...often 3 or more characters it was very distracting.
She also tried to fill in the book with LOTS of sex scenes but even they fell flat. And domestic discipline!!! I'm sorry WHAT!?!? Whatever...to each his own...but we never got the build up in their relationship, never experienced the heat from unchecked emotions...both the H & h were boring and fell into bed with little to no passion. The sex scenes read like they were written for a YA book.
And did I mention it dragged?? This book could have been a very quick novella...even the climax of the book took less then half a page to culminate and close out in the last 5% of the book...just blah!
Don't think I'll read more from this author.

The blurb for this book just grabbed my attention and even though it was very close to Christmas, I purchased this book and could not put it down (needless to say - I did not get my baking and shopping done). The characters are great. The author does such a fantastic job with Heller's character that I almost wanted to cause her bodily harm for putting Heller through so much. Heller is not even given time to breathe in this book, thank heavens the author made her such a strong, self reliant character. Tyler is a good match for Heller and thankfully, he does not put up with any cr*p (even from his mom). The whole story just flows and sucks you in. I would love to say I am looking forward to a sequel but the author gave us a freakin' fantastic story with a totally satisfying conclusion. This has definitely earned a permanent place on my Kindle.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Tyler is the Sheriff and Heller is a mechanic, a successful one. Heller carries a lot of baggage and coming back to her hometown is something she would only do for Big Joe. Coming back she meets the Sheriff and he becomes the one good thing to focus on. In this book, you also get the story of Dean and Joanne. Both Tyler and Dean believe in domestic discipline so you get spanking and romance. This is a really good, interesting and long read. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could. HEA

Really enjoyed this story about a sport which I know nothing about. My lack of knowledge didn't hurt my enjoyment at all. I found it much easier to like Tyler but it was Heller's story all the way. A great story about moving on from what people expect you to be and learning to accept that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Fun read

If you like D\d relationship books, this was a fun one. Main female wasn't a whimp but also understood that have a strong and loving partner who needed to spank her when she did stupid things was what she needed.
