Prayers for Victory in Your Marriage is incredibly intensely amazing. It was easy to read and let me start telling you this that in Chapter One the author tells you that each Marriage is under Spiritual attack daily. He goes into that and tells you so much you most likely did know - "to say that Spiritual Warfare happens in the home is an understatement. The home, and particularly Marriage, is a hotbed of satan's tactics and techniques. WHOEVER OWNS THE FAMILY OWNS THE FUTURE.." (I capitalized) but he brings it clear into view. He then goes onto tell you exactly how to fight satan and keep your family safe. This book was given to me complimentary of the Publisher and NetGalley; all the opinions in the review are all my own.

Tony Evans says it like it is: "If you are a believer and you are married, you're in a battle whether you realize it or not. The battle is for your unity to be destroyed, your love to be diminished, and ultimately your marriage to fail." The battle is going on in the spiritual world as well as here on earth - Satan wants this union to fail. The Scriptures Evans lays out & the prayers he shares are relevant & encouraging for marriages that are on the rocks or on the mountaintop. 😊

My Review:
Prayers for Victory in Your Marriage, can become a powerful lifeline for you in a struggling marriage, especially. What most people will tell you that have had a long standing marriage is that it is a lot of work. That doesn't really change over the years, you have to keep working out at it. You don't date and then marry and then you are done. You will continuously "date" your spouse for every year that you have him or her.
The secret to a "failing' marriage is just stop caring and stop working at it. If you do those two things before long you can just walk away because that will be all thats left to do. Tony Evans offers us insight to marital bliss and how to keep it going strong by relying on the Master to handle all problems, issues, or situations. Prayers for Victory in Your Marriage is based on the Armor of God and how to apply it to your marriage.
This book will speak truth to you and show you how to navigate God's intended purpose for your marriage.

Dr. Evans is one of my favorite teachers of all time. I thoroughly love the way he clearly explains difficult theological concepts and further develops concepts that the reader may have glossed over from familiarity.
This book begins with the Biblical premise that marriages are engaged in spiritual warfare, whether one realizes it or not. The book gives a brief overview of the armor of God as described in Ephesians, what each piece is, why the Bible describes the piece with that character quality, and what it was used for in actual combat. Then subsequent chapters address several issues that each marriage faces such as love, unity, purpose, forgiveness, and so on. Then, using each piece of armor, Dr. Evans provides prayers addressing that issue in the framework of the pieces of armor. Each issue, each piece of armor is addressed using scripture and scripture-based prayers.
So often in my prayers, I’m tongue-tied. I know there’s a problem, but I don’t know what to do or say beyond, “Help!” This book has enabled me to see how many different aspects of our marriage can be viewed, analyzed, and improved through applying Scripture and prayer. Even though this is a relatively small book, it is one of the most powerful and transformative books I’ve read in a long while.

This book is really blessed me a lot. This book teaches that if you are a believer and you are married, you're in the battle whether you realized it or not. The battle is for your unity to be destroyed, your love to be diminished, and ultimately your marriage to fail.
This is my first book of this author and I have to say I look forward to read more of his books.

This wonderful book by Tony Evans is a must-read for any married couple wanting to bind their relationship to the presence, power, and authority of God. It is written in such a way that it can be used as a great tool for married couples to read aloud together one segment in a chapter at a time before going to bed or upon waking in the morning. It is most certainly spirit-filled as it covers you with God's holy armor in your marriage!

I love the format of this book. I will be keeping it in my basket of books that I use frequently. The format is such that whatever is the current need of prayer for your marriage, you can turn to that chapter and have an incredible source of Biblical prayers to pray to fight the enemies schemes to attack your marriage.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this book is in helping the prayer life for marriage. I feel both spouses get enlightenment in the way to see and evaluate marriage issues through the Word and Prayer.
