These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)

I loved it. Romantic, steamy, full of clichés (the good ones) and just totally fun and addictive.

Book 4 - Fly like you’ve never been grounded
We get to have a closer look at The Gorgeous Pilot, college friend of Jack and Pete, since the gang is going to be making Summer Lake the base. Smoke decides he might want that too. Then he sees and finally gets to be with Laura Benson. Pouring out his secrets and falling in love. Captain Cole “Smoke” Alexzander Hamilton, Jr. sours to new heights.

Michael Morgan returns to Summer Lake with his son, his dad the town Doctor is ready to retire, so it seems his life has turned around. Another new face came to town, Megan is the librarian, she had lots of downs in her life. Micheal”s persistence gets her on a date and as people say the rest is history. They are learning and becoming a family.

Chase, lead singer of the band at the Boathouse, is feeling it might be time to settle even before Kenzie comes to town to check on her sister, Meggie. He took one look and decided he wanted to get to know her. They spend one eventful night together and she takes the bus back to Nashville. Her X wants her to comeback after he kicks her out and she says no. A few days go by and he comes back to where she is living and tries to get what he wants, he leaves without getting it but left her unconscious, her neighbor calls Chance. Chance gets to Nashville and brings her back. Can chase convince her that she is a good person and the past should stay there in the past.

Summer Lake, the place where people go to get away and to start over. The series continues with Laura and Smoke and their hot days and nights of getting to know one another.
Dr. Michael meets Megan, and it takes a little work to break down her walls and to get to know her. She opens up and lets love into her heart.
Kenzie is Megan’s sister and Chase plays in a band. It takes some convincing to keep her around.
I enjoyed these books in the series. Summer Lake takes you away. This is a wonderful read.

A must read!!
I started reading this series with the Summer Lake box set books 1-3)..... After I finished I moved to this one.... Each story is its own standalone HEA, but then they ALL blend together and go SO well together. I've read through them all, you will do the same!! I CANNOT wait for SJ's next book!!!

Each story continues to evoke emotion
Having finished 1 - 6, I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the Summer Lake series. I've already read Chance in the Remington series and look forward to that series as well. As long as SJ McCoy writes she will have a dedicated reader.

DNF. Could not get past page 17 when the “hero” says and I quote ““The only thing I'm scared of is scaring you off before I get into your panties” and they hadn’t even been on a date yet! How is this “romance”?

Refreshing
I like the theme in this book about learning to stop being your own worst critic. There are so many of us who are too hard on ourselves when in truth no one else is bothered by our so called imperfections. Give yourself permission to love and accept yourself just as you are.

Coming back to the Summer Lake series is like coming back to sit in your favorite comfortable armchair. The stories wind around people who have either lived in the Summer Lake area, are related or have come to the area for different reasons. As they pair up it shows real life trials and tribulations that couples go through and it pulls you in and makes you feel a part of their individual lives.

Love this series. About small town life and a group of friends , and their love lives You really get the feel of the town. And what it might be like living there. Sometimes a little to perfect. But that's romantic fiction . You either love it or hate it. I love it

So much fun to read...
I've just finished the first six books in this series and i will not stop until I have read all of Sj's books. Her stories are fun and draw you in so that you feel like you're one of her great characters. I love this author!

I absolutely adore this group of friends and the storylines this is the first book I’ve read from this other and it was absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to find out what’s going on with Ben and his happy ever after.

Surprisingly modern day eventful!!!
I liked the way the story was written telling who each person was before they met and continues on till they decide to stay together. I just felt like I got "the whole story". Thank you!

Ms McCoy is a talented writer! I am so glad she has a large village of characters to pull from😍Her stories are thoughtful, engaging and interesting! As a reader I can relate to the characters and the emotions, because this author writes about real stuff! loving her😘

Although I purchased the box set I have done my reviews on the individual stories.
I thought that would be better than you having to read to much at once.
