Cyborg Seduction

He’s no longer human. Is he still her first love?

Wrath leads Green Squad, a team of cybernetic soldiers capable of autonomous missions. Cut off from their central command by a communications glitch, Wrath believes his team has been left in the desert to perish. When a group of humans shows up a year later, he’s ready to kill.

Reporter Rachel Halliday is terrified of cyborgs, but her first assignment at her new job is to cover the retrieval of Green Squad. Though scientists warn the media to keep their distance from the cyborgs, she disobeys and gets captured. Taken to the squad leader, she’s shocked to see that Wrath looks just like Robert, the man she once loved - and had given up for dead.

Convinced that Rachel is a spy sent to betray him, Wrath doesn’t trust her, but he can’t deny his strange compulsion to protect and possess her. With a military team approaching to take over the retrieval - and memory flashbacks shorting out his system - Wrath is on the verge of remembering everything, only to lose it all over again. Can Rachel help him recover the man he was before it’s too late?

Cyborg Seduction is Book 3 in the Burning Metal series and a STAND-ALONE, full-length science fiction romance. There are no cliffhangers, and a happy ending is guaranteed!

I really enjoyed listening to CYBORG SEDUCTION by Lisa Lace. It's first book I've read in her Burning Metal series but the third in the series. I have to say I was very impressed with the world building and character portrayal. It definitely made me want to go back and read the first two books in this series.

This story starts off as a group of scientists and reporters are heading into the desert to recover the "Green Squad", a team of cyborg soldiers that have been out of contact due to their internal communication systems malfunctioning leaving no way to locate their precise location. They had survived for over a year under harsh conditions due to the leadership of Wrath, a name he gave himself based on his need to take revenge upon authorities that had left he and his team out in the desert for so long.

Rachel is one of the few reporters that was brought along to cover the breaking news of finally locating this lost team of cyborgs. When she comes face to face with Wrath, the cyborg leader, she can't help but notice how much he resembles her first love. Robert had joined the military and not long after she had been told he'd been killed in battle. Could Wrath actually be Robert? Wrath has no memory of ever being a human. No memory of Rachel. But her very survival may depend upon her convincing him they were once in love and that she is not a conniving human sent to distract and confuse him through seduction so that the Green team can be captured and destroyed.

Cyborg Seduction is well-developed and steadily paced to keep your interest. The narrator portrayed the various characters and their emotions well. It's a great read I highly recommend to anyone who loves SciFi and futuristic novels. 4 stars

Better than the last one but still not quite good. The characters are pretty flat, the plot pretty stilted. We don't go into the true politics or what happens that these cyborgs were in a murdering defense mode. No that was glossed over. Then we have the romance which is pretty much the past because the current... well Wrath treats her with disdain no matter what he thinks. So she is a flip flop mess throughout. The ending too abrupt and we don't get even how he finds her. It is like a jump, jump, jump in plot. I never felt that we connected and it even made the romance superficial. We get to know some not so nice people but they don't end up playing a part. There was no story there and they disappeared. I'm done.

well this one was the more dramatic one, wrath was a pretty confused one and it made me mad at him for almost all of the book but well he was what the circumstances made out of him, rachel well wasnt that bad either, in all it was an interesting one.

It’s official, I’m in love with the Burning Metal series! The stories are just a little bit darker than the Terra Mate series, and that suits me just fine.

What rotten luck, news reporter Rachel Halliday’s first assignment is to follow scientist as they attempt to bring in a rogue squad of cyborgs in serious need of a software update, anxious to get the scoop Rachel blatantly disregards orders to stay far away from the cyborgs and next thing you know she’s face-to-face with their leader Wrath, who has a serious chip in, umm, err on his shoulder, believing that Central Command left him and his cohorts for dead in the desert several years ago.

Funny thing about Wrath, though, he looks just like Rachel’s first and only true love, high school sweetheart Robert, and once she’s convinced that it truly is Robert, Rachel’s on a new mission to help Wrath regain his memory and humanity. But for Wrath trust is dead and if Rachel’s not careful, she may be too!

This story has, action, suspense and if you know anything about Lisa Lace, smoking hot sex scenes and an HEA.

Michael Pauley narrates and he does a wonderful job on this audiobook. He nails the emotions of the characters, he has been the reader for all of the books in the series and his comfort and familiarity as a narrator with the series is evident. The audio production quality is perfect.

They were sent on a mission in the desert. They completed the mission and waited to be picked up.
They lost communication with Cyborg Sector and they were left behind in the desert. He was the commander and he was mad. They had to survive. He changed his number and gave himself a new name, Wrath. If he ever had the chance that is what he planned to bring down on Cyborg Sector his wrath. This one was a little different. Rachel Halliday remembers Wrath from when he was her boyfriend, Robert. Wrath doesn't trust any humans and hates Cyborg Sector. It's going to be a rough and dangerous road to romance if Rachel can get Wrath to remember her and Robert.
I really liked this story it was exciting. Like this author and going to read more books by her.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it

This is a fantastic, fresh sci-fi romance, wrath is a cyborg, but he was previously a man called Robert, they took his memories and left him a cyborg

Rachel gets sent out as a reporter to do a piece on the cyborgs, imagine her shock when she see's Robert, her

The flashbacks were fantastic as wrath remembers bits of his past, well written, another great book by Lisa Lace, such a talented writer

Rachel is a reporter sent to cover the "retrieval" or the Green Squad. Her capture and introduction to the leader is a shock. Is he really her long lost love? Wrath doesn't trust Rachel but something pulls him to her. Could he really be who she believes he is? What is the truth and what does the future hold? While this series is not my favorite by Ms. Lace, it continues to be a good read.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Lisa Lace is a writing genius. Her stories give you suspense, thrill and romance. This book was so different from ALL the others, but still has hot guys and an innocent, beautiful woman. Enjoyed every minute of this book and although it was not a cliffhanger, I look forward to more.

Great book

This book is different from the first two, but still follows a cyborg that becomes human. Wrath is angry and doesn't believe he was ever human, he has always been a cyborg. Rachel must convince him that he needs his biochip replaced. I didn't read the bonus book at the end of the book. I hope that Lisa Lace will do fine with this series!!

I must of read these last year or earlier. Very glad for Goodreads.

I like her writing style and the very believable story line. Cyborgs are one of my favorites. The big grumpy men that turn into mush over their women and would do or sacrifice everything.

I didn't much care for this one. I felt like there wasn't much going on and not a lot of character development. It wasn't bad just felt like it was missing something.

Sci-fi meets adventures and romance in a neat little package. Just love it.

Part man and part machine is there anything of the man Rachel use to know as Robert. Or is he all Wrath aka MD-782.

Rachel is a reporter at the World Community News. For her first actually live action report in the field, she's going to try and see if she can get the scoop on the cyborgs that were abandoned for over a year. Thinking it's going to be a easy in and out job. She decides that there is nothing to worry about. Boy is she wrong... Will she make it out alive?
MD-782 is now known as Wrath to his unit. Each have taken names in order to move on from abandonment from the humans who sent them out to battle. Now over a year, each are experiencing problems in their systems but with no maintenance personal to help they can't do nothing but take the pain. When two captives land in his lap. Wrath can help but decide to kill them or let them loose. Let alone the woman, she thinks she knows him in a past life. But that's nonsense, he's been a cyborg all his life right? Will he survive long enough to find out the truth or will he get everyone killed?

Again this lady has stole the show, Ms. Lisa has from the very 1st page and believe me she doesn't drop the ball, you just keep wanting more, you bet she delivers. I would definitely recommend this must read book, though it's standalone you will want to read the series
Wrath is the Cyborg Leader of the Green Squad. Wrath and his team were sent to New Mexico Desert to eliminate terrorists, which went perfect until there communication equipment failed. Did it? Wrath is under the impression that they were sent there on a mission which they completed, with no communication a rescue should have been made, but they we're left there to die. We're they left to die? Green Squad wants revenge, will they get it?
Rachel Halliday is a reporter who has finally moved up in her news world, now this is her first assignment for the World Community News. In one sense she's very excited and another she is scared to death of cyborg she has always been scared but she got on the plane and went to New Mexico so that she could do the news coverage of the cyborgs that were lost a year ago. Seems like from the very beginning nothing went right between her new suit being ruined to losing her luggage, than being cramped in the back of a utility van it's just proceeded to get worse and then an explosion now she is a hostage no matter what she said the Cyborg's wanted to kill her. If that wasn't bad enough Wrath the leader looks familiar to her was she imagining things maybe the the explosion did something to her head because he looked just like her first love and you know nobody forgets their first love.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Wrath and the rest of his cyborg squad have been abandoned and forgotten in the desert. Living alone, hating and not trusting humans this squad has survived. But they haven't been forgotten about and the humans come back to take them home.

Rachel is a reporter of  assignment to watch the missing though dead squad get rescued. All things go to hell when  they get caught up in a trap and taken hostage. Fearing for her life and trying to convince them they are not a threat. Things take a turn when she recognises the leader.

Poor Rachel, knowing who the leader was and trying to tell him was gut wrenching. You could see her hurt of being ignored or treated badly as she is accused of being a spy. One minute you think she is getting somewhere then Wrath fights it and back to square one. Arhhhhhhhh!!!!!
I just want to shake Wrath and scream in his face and say LISTEN TO WHAT SHE IS SAYING DAM IT!
But then it isn't his fault, his memories taken away when turned into cyborg. Also his chip messing him up so was very distrustful. He just want his men save and protected from the humans. But you could also see him wanting to take care of Rachel, especially when he knows he hurt her.
These two have a past, but that's it the past. Things won't be the same as they have both changed. Well except feelings. Even if hidden and denied. The loyalty of the squad is good to see even when they being blood greedy.
Good read.

Cyborg Seduction is yet another sexy read by Lisa Lace. A squad of cyborgs were deployed to eliminate some terrorists but they were left for there out in the scorching hot desert. One year later, the company behind cyborgs, the Cyborg Sector has had reports of sightings near the remote desert and has sent a group of people including journalists to retrieve the cyborgs.

After being isolated for a year, no one knows how the cyborgs will behave and whether they will be hostile. Rachel is one of the journalists on her way to the desert. She's on her first job and is less than enthusiastic about cyborgs. On the way there, they were attacked with Rachel and another person on the team being taken hostage.

Rachel has never seen cyborgs up close and in person. She was definitely intimidated by them, especially by Wrath who's the leader of the squad. She also found herself unexpectedly drawn to Wrath. Wrath is a cyborg who is fierce, strong, and naturally hates all humans. They would never hesitate to eliminate humans except they need these two humans to negotiate with Cyborg Sector who will be on their way there on a rescue mission.

As time goes on, there was a lot of tension between the group, especially between Rachel and Wrath. I won't spoil it for those who haven't read this book but as expected from Lisa Lace, there's always some sexy scenes :)

Cyborg Seduction: A Science Fiction Cyborg Romance (Burning Metal Book 3)
By: Lisa Lace
5 out of 5 stars

The story Cyborg Seduction: A Science Fiction Cyborg Romance (Burning Metal Book 3) by Lisa Lace is a science fiction book. This is the story of Wrath who leads Green Squad, a team of cybernetic soldiers. It is also about reporter Rachel Halliday who is terrified of cyborgs, however, her first assignment is to cover the retrieval of Green Squad. She is taken a prisoner and comes to believe that Wrath is a man she once knew as Robert. Can Rachel help Wrath to find himself?

This is the third book in the cyborg series and they just keep getting better. This story has action, danger, cyborgs, and don’t forget steamy romance. Wrath and Rachel are amazing characters. The progression of the story and the attention to details will have you turning pages to see what happens next. I highly suggest that if you have not, to read the first two books as well. It gives the backstory about the cyborgs and the challenges that they and the humans who work and love them go through. I received a copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

This series just keeps getting better and better. I really enjoyed this story. It was full of excitement and action. The cyborgs are sent into battle against terrorists but somehow communications fail and they are not retrieved for a year after deployment. They manage to live off of rations left by the terrorists and snakes, as well as various other wildlife. One day word arrives that the cyborgs have survived reaches Cyborg Sector and people are sent to return them to the world. Among them a reporter with past ties to the lead cyborg, Wrath. Anger and disbelief reign supreme but, as always, love conquers all.

I do still wonder why communications failed so spectacularly but I don't think that that question will ever be answered. Also, the description of the raw snake and Wrath's understanding that cooking would ruin some nutrients had me cringing and laughing by turns. The incredible way his thoughts were portrayed, so close yet so far from human thought was very interesting.

Can escaped cyborgs regain their humanity – do they even want to?

Green squad comprised of Cyborg soldiers is sent into the desert to remove a terrorist threat – unfortunately they are abandoned after their mission. Rachel Halliday is promoted from her local news station and her first assignment will involve cyborgs. When contact was lost with the Green squad one year ago they were assumed dead, but hikers reported unusual activity recently and scientists, along with some reporters, are going to investigate. Spilled coffee and lost luggage spelled a bad start to her trip… and it goes downhill from there.

Rachel and one scientist make it to the cyborgs who capture them. The leader of the cyborgs sparks a memory in Rachel. Have the cyborgs gone “rogue”, will Rachel get through to the machine that was once the young man she grew up with? Sweet and scary but a terrific tale!!

Yet another fantastic book from this series
It is a real page turner right from the start.
It is a good idea if you read The first book
in this series.
OK now for a bit about this book.
A year after the green squad was left in the desert after they
eliminated a terrorist cell they were doing fine hiding in a cave
And just wanted to be left alone but that was not to be.
There was a doctor who was trying to get the Cyborg
to return to the compound he was traveling with some reporters
before they got to the caves were the Green Squad was there cars
Were blown up and only two got out alive.
They were captured and this is how Rachel saw her first
love who was turn into a Cyborg who had no idea that he was once
human.
This is where this book really hooks you in until the end.

Remembering my past

Cyborg seduction was just different. This involves the green team of cyborgs being sent on a mission and communication failures abound.
Wrath is now the de facto leader of this group of cyborgs

The story gives the impression of maybe a possible cover up, termination, or just a general screw-up by someone overseeing this mission.
This group of cyborgs for some reason seemed to be a little bit more bloodthirsty and I know that they are ruled by orders and duty but boy when they're by themselves they just don't care.

Gifted a copy and voluntarily writing review:

From page one starts the adrenaline rush that comes with Lisa Lace's books. There are times it slows down but for the most part the reader will be turning the page quickly just to see who is truthful, who is out for their own gains, will Wrath remember and what happens next with the cyborgs.

This book is written in a style that is truly Lisa lace. If you like her other books then you will enjoy this as well.
