There are 3 books in the series and I read them out of order but they are well written and the characters are believable. Even if one is not from the Tallahassee area, the environments are described so well that you could be from anywhere and enjoy the scenery and culture.

This book presented a character I'd never before encountered. The protagonist is so compelling I wanted to save him from himself. This suspense thriller kept my mind active from the start until the end and the plot was excellent, the end unexpected but delightful.

I don't typically read suspense novels, but this one is set in Tallahassee, where I live. The details of all the setting is done perfectly and the court room scenes are so fluid and never too technical that it left me lost. This is a comprehensive, interwoven legal mess that I absolutely loved to follow because Stevens (the protagonist) isn't the typical hero here, more of the anti-hero, and the character arc is an absolute joy while it unfolds.
