Rachel has always been different and as her mother puts it, she’s just a little bit more special than everyone else. Rachel has a gift and not the kind that she is happy with, the only sure thing about her Psychic ability is that she never knows when it will kick in. When she get a feeling by accidentally touching a passerby, she knows she has to do something or tell some one, and she does… with unexpected consequences.

When Special Agent Arrons is told that he has a job that is just right for him, he knows that it would not be a pleasure, but he was not expecting a woman, a dog and a premonition that may change the entire face of his city.

Arrons goes on his gut feeling and follows Rachel’s vision, they uncover a more sinister plot than they could have ever imaged and they are in a race against time to prevent it.

Saving Tampa is absolutely a winner. Jo Webnar has not only written a story that will grip you from start to finish but something I could identify with, characters who are intelligent, gutsy and who were willing to go the distance in the name of truth and honour.

Rachel is a brilliant artist, challenged by the fact that she can and does get a glimpse of the future at the most unexpected time. When she does the right thing she ends up in the middle of more than she wants to be involved in and with an attraction that she hasn’t felt in a long time.

Arrons is up against a woman who knows what she wants and not afraid to speak her mind. Constantly impressed with her colourful choice of words, he is caught up in the chase to find a threat against his city while keeping the woman who’s becoming to mean more to him than he ever could have imagined safe.

Ms. Webnar has outshone most of the books I have read this year . Saving Tampa holds you from the first page and with twist and turns, emotional highs and lows you are caught in a web that is believable, gripping and have you saying never let it end.

Review by Marissa

Saving Tampa by Jo Webnar is a highly addictive and fast past novel that you won't be able to put down. It's an exciting story, with elements of terrorism and romance.

All her life Rachel Cunningham has the gift (or curse) of second sight. Rachel has always looked at this as more of a curse, her visions are a draining experience, and have always made her feel like a victim. I loved Rachel's gift, and thought she could do wonderful things with it like she did in the book.

While shopping at the mall a man bumps into Rachel, and causes the worst vision she has had. She knows that he is a terrorist and plans to kill hundreds or thousands. I really enjoyed the plot of this novel. It is something that is new on the market. Terrorism is something everyone worries about to some degree, and Saving Tampa brings it to life. It will have to on the edge of your seat, waiting to find out if the residents of Tampa will survive.

FBI Special Agent Michael (Hawk) Arrons is assigned to keep Rachel safe, and to report any information from visions she might have. Hawk has trouble controlling his temper, and is used to getting things his way, that is until Rachel comes into his life. To me Hawk seemed to really bring the story alive, he brought drama and excitement.

Oh and Ralph, Rachel's dog was a wonderful addition. I loved having his so much apart of the story. He reminded me of my dog, so protective and loyal. I loved that he a bit of a beer lush. Ralph rounds out the story perfectly.

Saving Tampa is definitely fast paced and full of riveting action. The relationship between Rachel and Hawk that blooms from her vision is amazing. The characters are intertwining and convincing, you will find yourself rotting for them. It is a one-of-a-king adventure that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Rachel Cunningham has been gifted with psychic abilities, and in the past she has used them to help police solve crimes. But it has taken it's toll on her. She moved to Florida for peace and to hide in the laidback crowds. This new found tranquility is put as risk when she accidently brushed against a man at the wall. She tunes in to his planning something awful that could result in the death of thousands of innocent people. She knows she can no longer hide from the darkness her powers bring her.

Special Agent Aarons of the FBI is less than delighted when Rachel lands before him, and thinks her a crackpot or delusional. Rachel, feeding off his hostility, is not in the best mindset to explain herself and what she fears will happen if they don't listen. However, Aarons attitude changes as the threat is confirmed. He is assigned to work with her, but they then face the attraction growing between them. Rachel's visions increase and they are in a race to hunt down the terrorist before it's too late.

Webnar give you a sizzling pace and strong characters. Highly recommended
