As I seem to be saying a lot recently: the games are great, the annotator isn't. Perhaps in honor of one of Fred's (as well as so many others') favorite devices, I should just say "etc" and leave it at that. Hey, at least I'm not quoting Pascal or Gilbert & Sullivan or something.

Anyway, I found especially marvelous the draw with Fine (Margate 1937) and that amazing win against Smyslov from the Leningrad-Moscow match of 1939.
