Discover River's End Ranch, a gorgeous "destination ranch and resort" in Riston, Idaho, that is run by the six Weston siblings and their well-meaning, semi-retired parents. Five bestselling Western romance authors have created a world like no other--full of fun outside activities, a huge family in need of love, and side characters you will never forget. A world where our characters learn, laugh, and love.
Amber Russell has just made partner in her law firm, something she's wanted for ages. She's ready to move on from simple cases and start handling some issues that mean something. When her law firm sends her and the other lawyers to a place called River's End Ranch to build team unity, she goes along because she knows she's expected to, but she's not really into it.
Wes Weston isn't so sure what to think of this group of lawyers he's been asked to take rock climbing, especially the woman. She seems cold and aloof until it's time to get her on the ropes, and then she flat-out refuses to go. That's going to make his job more than just a little bit difficult.
Neither of them can deny their chemistry, however, and no one can fight the power of the fairies ...
Amelia C. Adams is a wife, a mother, and a novelist. She spends her days dreaming up stories and her nights writing them down. Her biggest hero is her husband, and you might just see bits and pieces of him as you read her novels.
She loves all things historical and enjoys learning about days gone by, but she's glad she was born more recently (she won't say how recently or not recently) because the Internet is awesome, and she's glad she doesn't have to wash her clothes by hand in a galvanized tub. She has hit Amazon bestseller status twice, once for A Clean Slate and once for A Clear Hope.
Another fantastic story by Amelia C. Adams and another great River's End Ranch story. I really liked this one with a company sending four people to the ranch for team building exercises. When they get to the ranch, they barely got unpacked when it was time to rock climb only they didn't know it until Wes came with ATV's to get them to the rock wall they were climbing. Amber, the only woman in the group starts to panic as she is not going to do this activity. Wes divides them up and she tells him outright when they get there there was no way she was going up. He said that was okay that he won't force anyone that doesn't want to go.
As Wes is talking to Amber his back is to the rockclimbers and Amber is watching them as she is Wes and asks him what is going on up there. He turns and and see the head of the group in a panic on rock face. Wes takes off towards the cliff and starts up a rope to talk this guest into being able to get down with his help.
There are many more things that they do for this team building event. This is a fun book to read with all that goes on. I love the friendship that starts developing between Amber and Wes. You have to read this story and all the River's End Ranch stories as they are all very good and fun to read. You'll want to know all of the Westin family and what there job is and how they end up in romances with guests usually but not always. I highly Recommend this story and all the others.
This is a new author to me (although definitely not a new author!). I read one of her books, enjoyed it and thought I'd read another just to get a feel for her style. She has a lot of books!
This one was fun- the outdoor, Idaho mountain setting was fantastic and it made me wish I could be there too. It was a short story- novella in length and I really wish it would have been longer. More development, more time for that deeper connection. I saw so many opportunities for that. But, still a fun read and an author I will go back to for a quick romantic fix.
A young female lawyer comes to RER in Idaho for a weekend of ‘trust building’ exercises with 3 male lawyers – one the son of the law firm owner in Texas – total jerk kind of dork. Even with the promotion to a partner in the law firm and all the perks such as a new convertible, cannot erase the memory of a rock climbing cowboy in Amber’s mind. As part owner of RER, Wes Westin s in charge of outdoor activities at the ranch in Idaho, including the rock climbing where he become fascinated by Amber Russell, lawyer and city girl from Texas.
This is another amazing story of a budding romance between Wes and Amber. I have to point out an impossibility though. This should have been corrected by editors but wasn’t. There is no possible way a house or even a cabin can be completed in four days! These people have other jobs too? If this was supposed to be another cabin in an expansion project, it wasn’t clear. Then when she gets back to Oklahoma she dates Gabriel? Really? All in all it was a great tale.
Not going to bore you with the storyline. If you want that, read the back cover. This was a cute one. I enjoy this author more than some of the others in the series. The characters as a whole and the Westin family are darling. I want to visit this ranch! I'm already married to the love of my life, but we would sure enjoy our vacation there!
Amber Russel has just made partner at her law firm, and is, somewhat impatiently, participating in a so-called "team-building" event at the River's End Ranch in Idaho. She is pleasantly surprised to meet an interesting guy, Wes Weston, at the Ranch.
Interesting plotting & characterization. I like this series.
A slow moving new romance story. Amber, new law partner, arrives at River's End Ranch with three other attorneys for a team building event. It gets off to a rocky start as she refuses to do any climbing, then her co worker gets a panic attack. While there, Amber agrees to spend some time with Wes the activities coordinator.
This is a book with a amazing storyline with captivating romance story of beliefs and heartwarming love for everyone not just yourself that help you go for what is really important people and love.
I really enjoyed this book. The story lone was, of course, quite regular. However the writer was able to draw me into it by the wonderful descriptions of the scenery around her story. I recommend this book to Antone who enjoys a good descriptive story.
Amber Russell went to River's End Ranch for a work team building weekend. Wess Weston was teaching rock climbing to her group. This is a sweet romance that can be read in a day. I love this series.
A romance that began on a weekend @ a ranch & about 2 weeks later became an engagement. A fun story as Amber interacts with 3 co-workers & met Jaclyn. She also met some of the siblings.
There is something about a well written happily ever after book that make me feel satisfied, joyful and happy. This book was one of those. I admit I would love to read three additional books, each about one of the lawyers in the story. Good book.
Rugged Rockclimber by Amelia C. Adams – Her law firm wanted to have a trust building trip, but they didn’t factor in their rising star falling for the great outdoors and one hunky rock climber. Another cute addition to this family! Happy Reading!
“Rugged Rockclimber,” is Amelia C. Adams latest contribution to the Rivers End Ranch series. River’s End Ranch is located in the rugged area of Riston Idaho, and it is run by the Weston family with each sibling taking a hands-on approach to running the family business. Wes Weston is the easy going sibling who leads the hiking and rock climbing outings for the ranch, and he is not looking forward to the latest excursion with a group of lawyers, especially when one of the lawyers believes he knows more than Wes. Amber Russell, has just made partner in the law firm when it was announced that there was a trust building exercise in Idaho scheduled for the firm. Amber is awestruck by the sheer natural beauty of the area, but when she meets Wes, she finds herself looking at life differently and questioning the life path she has chosen. Can these two people from different world’s find a path to happiness? Only Amelia C. Adams can write a love story that brings love together in a fashion that allows the reader to believe anything is possible. I was given an advanced copy of this book, and all of the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I really am enjoying this multi author series. I encourage you to start with book 1 to fully understand the Westin family and their ranch. Each of the siblings is unusual just like each author has her own style and voice.
How the people can be so very, very different on the surface with different skills and jobs yet all find heart home in the same place is not strange to me at all. I think the ranch could be a heart home for me.
Another wonderful visit to River's End Ranch. I have loved every installment in the series so far and I hope and pray it goes on for many more books! I so wish RER was real!
Wes is the Weston in charge of mountain sports, and Amber is a lawyer in a retreat with her coworkers. The characters were fun to read, I loved their teasing and joking and I really liked how strong and centered both of them are. Wes is a person that's sure of himself, that loves his family, but enjoys teasing them and pranking them, especially his sister Kelsi. Amber is a lawyer with big dreams that is working hard to be in a position to make them reality. They find each other and their relationship is fun and easy and seems real.
Everyone has fear, some great some small but none of us escape it for long. Getting past that fear is the key to our own personal happiness, when we’re brave enough to face it and conquer it for good. Amber has just made partner at her law firm, even though she’s still working the small claims cases and nothing more substantial. The firm has sent out the partners to this ranch resort in Idaho for some team trust building. It sounds like an excuse to take a company vacation on the firm’s dime but she’s up for it. Amber may have a big city job, but she’s got a country girl’s heart – she simply needs to find it once again.
Wes is most at home out on the mountains surrounding the River’s End Ranch, his family home and business. If he’s not rock climbing with guests, he’s leading hikes and getting folks back to the nature he loves most. This group will be different. This time a woman will state her fears, refuse to go out of her comfort zone and earned his respect for the way she acted while making that decision. Amber has layers, and suddenly Wes is very interested in learning more about this lawyer from the big city who seems to love his mountains as much as he does.
In Rugged Rockclimber we get Wes and Amber’s romance, their adventure on the sometimes rocky road to happiness. I enjoyed their story, it’s full of the wonderful cast of characters I’ve come to love in the River’s End Ranch series. Amber has to make a decision about her future, and face her fears. Wes has a decision to make on what he’s willing to give up for the woman he’s come to love. A compromise would be the best solution, but only if it’s what they both want long term. Amber is an interesting character and very realistic in how she approaches not only her future but her past as well. A lovely romance that anyone would enjoy.
I would have no trouble recommending this story and series to any Romance reader. But… I would strongly suggest that you read them in order as events and people follow through to the next story in some small way, or you might run into someone from five stories back. It’s just a more involved, enjoyable experience to read them in order – in my opinion, of course.
I rad this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
