Fifteen short stories with a theme of puzzles, enigmas, and murders, and three poems. A touch of mystery, a stab of fear, a tinge of sadness, a splash of humour. A perfect read for a dark winter afternoon.
I was born in England, in South Yorkshire. My father was a miner and my mother was a nurse. A few decades before and a few miles further south a guy named D H Lawrence had similar beginnings. Like hm I spent some time as a teacher. I was always a voracious reader, and a writer, and when I retired I began to write more seriously. I lived briefly in New York, and in Todi in Italy. Now I reside in the West Midlands in the UK. I have three ebooks on Amazon, The Love Child's Mother, an autobiographically based story of adoption and reunion, Intarsia, a book of short stories, and Circles, a story of a teenage dilemma. My new book, Autumn Butterfly, is due out soon. Originally Suzanne Wright, the J was added to avoid confusion with another writer of the same name but totally different subject matter.
