One of the most helpful commentaries I used while preaching through Matthew’s Gospel. Short and almost aphoristic in style.

I read most of this commentary by 17th century Scottish Presbyterian David Dickson as I preached through the Gospel of Matthew. His pithy doctrinal observations on the text were particularly helpful for sermon preparation. This book is also available for free online.
