Falling For Santa

Rate this book
Elin lived an ordinary life. She worked each day and went home each night. She didn't feel like life was too bad, but knew there could be more.

Every Christmas, Elin worked at the mall playing Santa's elf. She loved helping the children and the mall discount wasn't bad either. But when Davis started playing Santa this year, everything changed.

From the moment she first saw him, his deep voice and toned body ignited a fire inside Elin. When she got to know him, he blew her away with his gentle demeanor and sense of humor. But one question nagged at her...

Would he ever feel the same way?

Because one thing was certain, she had fallen for Santa.

What a sweet and perfect story! It is refreshing when things happen for all the right reasons at all the right times. I love the innocence and the intense feelings. ❤️

I've read a lot of Christmas books over the past couple of years and only read seasonal stuff each December. They tend to be a mixed bag as many authors can't quite manage to get the hang of the spirit of Christmas – it's either cloyingly sweet, a retelling of 'A Christmas Carol' or just off-kilter.
“Falling for Santa” by Laura Dunaway very definitely gets it right.
Elin, the oldest of four girls, works part-time as Santa's elf at Hart Department Store to help her Dad pay the bills. She also works full-time in a daycare centre.
There's a new Santa at the store. Not just any Santa, he got a heart of gold and manly attributes that set Elin a quiver.
He's simply the Best Santa Ever as far as she is concerned!
He's also interested in her but she's far too shy to believe that handsome Davis could ever be interested is someone as ordinary as her.
But anything is possible when mistletoe is around!
It's a little overly sappy from time to time but, wth, I can live with that.
If it were twice the length it would have been better – because it is so short there is little or no room for character development.
It is, however, quite a nice read.

LOVED this sweet Christmas romance! Davis and Elin are definitely two characters you will fall in love with. Davis is the kind of guy to really make a gal fall for Santa.

The story is quick but very satisfying and the author does a wonderful job with the Christmas magic feel.

"I was beginning to feel like there really was a Santa, and he was gifting me sweet, little moments with Davis. Whatever the reason I suddenly had his attention, I'd take it."

Such a sweet, romantic, Christmas story!!!

Elin always enjoyed being one of Santa's elves at the local department store every year. Seeing the smiles on all the kid's faces was a treat.
But this year, it was her turn to have the smile.

Davis vowed that one day he would be Santa, and spread joy to all the little kids. But on his first day as the man in red, he never thought he would meet elf that would forever change his life.

"You have no idea how beautiful you are, and that's unfortunate. I want you to see what I see."

This was a wonderful read about the spirit of Christmas, and the surprises that come along with it.

Elin and Davis were adorable right from the start! That man knows how to romance a woman!! Lord have mercy! Can I have a Davis?! ;)

This Christmas novella is sure to get you into the holiday spirit!!

I loved every moment of it!!

"Santa has been very impressed with you this year."
"Oh yeah? How impressed, exactly?"
"Let's say extremely impressed. Santa wanted me to reward you."
"And how exactly did he ask you to reward me?"
"Well, you see, that's the thing. He gave me this mistletoe here, telling me I knew what to do with it. Luckily, he's right, I definitely know what to do with it."

After the prologue I was expecting this book to be in Davis’s POV or at least include some of his POV but other than the prologue there was no POV from Davis, which disappointed me. I liked both hero and heroine, Elin is caring and sweet, she works two jobs to help her single father out with her siblings. Davis is selfless. He played Santa so that he could see the joy and wonder on children’s faces. When Elin’s boss at the day-care centre needed someone to fill in as Santa at Santa day, Davis was quick to step in and help. I liked Davis and Elin together, they were a cute couple. Falling for Santa is a quick and easy sweet romance. I will be totally honest when I say this: this is the first book of Laura’s that I have read, will I be reading more of her work after reading this bool? – Yes.

Elin is just another person trying to make a life and help her family out since there are a few mouths to feed and only one parent who tries to do their best but the extra help is wonderful. Elin works as a preschool teacher and part time as a Santa's helper. She meets a new Santa. She starts eyeing him well. His name is Davis and he has a secret but nothing bad. Davis and Elin have a friendship to her but starting to have feeling of more and since she hasn't dated much she doesn't believe that they are. Little gifts being sent to her work by an unknown person makes her wonder who it could be. Loved this fast read. Have been missing Laura Dunaway's writing. Happy to see a new book from her and wanting more.

Elin works two jobs trying to help her father raise her and her younger siblings. She works full time at a daycare and part time as a Santa elf during the holidays. She never really had much of a social life and no experience with guys.

She knew she was in trouble when she met the new Santa when she first saw him. But could Santa feel the same way about her?

A sweet romance for the holidays that make you feel all warm inside.
