How can love survive when a baby changes everything? When my no-good cheat of a boyfriend dumped me, it was the best thing that ever happened. Because that night, I met Chase . He's everything my boyfriend wasn’t—charming, well-spoken and holy cow he's good in bed . That first night, at the karaoke bar, he had me singing twice—first, on stage, and then later in his bedroom. For a curvy girl like me, he's a dream come true. I get shivers just thinking about him—our first kiss changed my definition of reality. But—and here's the thing—Chase doesn’t want children. Not such a big deal, unless you've just found out you're pregnant to the ex-boyfriend . I know who I want to be with. I think Chase wants to be with me too. So what the hell do I do now? If I tell him about the baby, it will ruin everything. Billionaire Baby Secret is a standalone romance with a happy ending. But be this book is so hot it will have you fanning yourself (and looking for your closest karaoke bar). It contains smoking hot action between a curvy BBW and a gorgeous Billionaire, and includes sizzling scenes which are for adults only. Read it only if you enjoy smoking hot romance, secret babies, classic music, sexy billionaires and curvy women learning to stick up for themselves!
This would have got a 5 star rating had it been a complete story. This is a cliffhanger as are most of Steele books. I did enjoy her slow build and walking you through things slowly. The whole book deals with only a day/night into the next morning but it is guided at such a pace that you could appreciate all the emotions that were to be had by each character. Rachel is the classic big girl with a shi*!y boyfriend. Enter Dan who is self absorbed and spending Rachel's money guilt free. This truly justifies his character. He has no understanding of why Rachel would want him to spend her birthday together when they go to a bar. He literally is clueless or maybe it was because he has treated her this way for so long that he is shocked she is actually standing up for herself. I guess her birthday brought her clarity that she just wasn't going to take it anymore.
Chase works in the music industry and has that sexy British accent that woman swoon for. He has the insight to see there is more behind Rachel than what is seen, but wait he has no problem with what he sees. I wish we could have heard from his POV but there is enough there for you to know he is generally attracted to Rachel and knows how to treat a woman. He is encouraging, listens, passionate, supportive, funny, smart to list a few admiral traits. The night ends in a surprisingly explosive set of feelings and there is no awkwardness between our couple. I am not a fan for secrets and the first secret has already begun.
However, where a particular party was concerned things were finalized but apparently he has chosen to play dumb and so we are left with a bright new beginning that is now overshadowed in light of Dan hoping that Rachel has not figured out his secret that he needs her a hell of a lot more than she needs him. He doesn't even care enough to wonder where she's been. Was she safe? I am hoping I am not disappointed how she chooses to approach this new turn of events. Keep moving forward girl! The length of the book does need there to be more to complete this story. I appreciate that it is not rushed in it's telling and have seen there is a boxed set as this one was a freebie and gives you a taste of what will come. Enjoy!
Was refreshing in the respect that our heroine gets her backbone back. On the night of her birthday and she has realized she’s been allowing bad behavior from Dan. He’s her lazy out of work good for nothing mooching boyfriend. Yeah! The one that forgets it’s even her birthday altogether and makes plans with his boys basically the men children that he hangs with to go to the bar. She just happens to come home before they leave and asks to go with. He ignores her, doesn’t make room for her at his table so she sits at the bar alone. She sees him flirting with the waitress. Grabbing her and tipping her big money to be a big shot. Really her money. While at the bar she meets a well-dressed wealthy Englishman, who wishes her a happy birthday and buys her a drink. This full figure girl is amazed when he talks her into doing karaoke although she’s scared, he gives her strength. When Dan sees her sign up, he starts a fight and says no not to embarrass him. Then, orders her to give him more money, she says no to both. He says if she doesn’t do what he wants it’s over between them. She says it’s over. Chase is there to make her birthday brighter. We meet Rachel, a gorgeous woman with a big booty and an asshole boyfriend, who forgets about his girlfriends birthday, but takes her with him to a bar to meet HIS friends. Asshole move here people! Rachel is left alone at the bar and meets hunky British Chase! Chemistry is there, likeable characters ( beside that dick of a boyfriend! ) good storyline, and nice writing.
Plot: Rachel is out at a bar with her awful boyfriend when they break up suddenly. That's okay, because she's just met Chase, a mysterious, obviously wealthy stranger who encourages her to sing on stage. It seems like they might have made a strong connection with promise, but Chase doesn't want kids and Rachel just found out she's pregnant.
Commentary: I am not a fan of serials. I mean, I've read a lot of Hannah Ford's, but those are like Pringles, I guess. I don't like them from other authors. If you have four books at approximately 50 pages each, put them together and you have a 200-page book, which is still not long. Wouldn't it all even out, KU-wise, anyways, since they go by page reads? But that's the trick, because I got the first book for free, and if I want to read the next 50 pages, I have to pay $3. Obviously, that's not a criticism of the actual writing but rather the marketing practices. I won't be reading the second book.
