For as long as Arell Rivers remembers, she has been lost in a book. During her senior year in college, she picked up a romance novel … and instantly was hooked.
She started writing her first novel, No One to Hold, because the characters were screaming at her to do so. The story started coming out in Arell’s dreams and attacking her in the shower, so she took to the computer to shut them up. But they kept talking.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Arell has what some may call a “checkered past.” Prior to discovering her passion for writing romance, she practiced law, was a wedding and event planner and even dabbled in marketing. She lives with a very supportive husband and two mischievous cats. When not in her writing cave, Arell can be found making dinner in the crock pot, working out with Shaun T or hitting the beach.
She hopes you enjoy her stories about flawed men, strong women and the passions that ignite!
Freaking floved and devoured this series in two days. I seriously couldn't stop reading these books. It's storyline will suck you in and not let you go!! I went from not liking Rose to loving her by the end so REDEMPTION at last. This series is brilliantly written and the author did a wonderful job of creating such realistic world to get lost in, I couldn't wait to bump the corner of my kindle to turn the page (screen). You will go from wanting to throat punch Rose to just wanting to give her a huge hug. I even had to message my book buddy Kathy Aranoff to complain and moan about said characters and circumstances. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for giving us Cole and Rose's story and keeping this avid reader on her toes. It brought frustration, angst, crying fits, hot AF sex scenes, and finally a happily ever after redemption in a big way. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
I don't believe that Cole's heart remained firmly in Los Angeles with Rose, whose condition remained critical following their terrible car wreck. He did not need the money or the publicity. He could have cancelled the tour and rescheduled it for later. So he would have lost a ton of money for cancelling the tour. UGH. That plot or manufactured part of the story did not work for me. Rose woke up from the coma the day after he left!! He did not find out until a month later or so. He did not fly back once to check on her. Phone calls do not count. I know he said he called every day and he was given false information, but I just did not feel it. Maybe I zoned out after reading that he was leaving her and going on the tour. I disconnected and then I was done. I did not buy the excuses. My opinion.
More manufactured drama with the amnesia. I love drama, but it works for me when I KNOW that the hero loves the heroine more than anything. I did not feel any love here. Lust, maybe, but not love. Again this is my opinion.

This is the final book in Rose Morgan and Cole Manchester's story. So I'll start out by saying that you MUST read No One to Hold (Book 1), and Hard to Hold (Book 2) first, to know what's going on. This story starts up right where Book 2 ends, with Rose still in bad condition after their car wreck. Cole doesn't want to, but he has to go out on tour, while his hearts stays in the hospital with Rose. She awakens without her memories, so she believes that Cole isn't safe to be around. Will Rose and Cole be able to get past this, and more importantly, will he be able to keep her safe from the stalker before the next incident kills her?! I have been addicted to this series from the first book, and although I was dying each time I finished a book, when I finished this explosive conclusion, I found still want more! Arell Rivers has me fully invested in her talented writing style and I have finished each of these in one sitting, especially To Have and to Hold. Twists and turns had my heart racing cover to cover, with dropping loud f-bombs in every direction, while the angst levels kept me emotional. The well placed humor kept me laughing, and the steamy sexy scene goodness had me hot flashing. I LOVE this author, and am super excited for more of her work! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Having survived a devastating attack, Cole returns to his planned world tour while Rose is in a coma. While Cole is away she wakes up but doesn't remember everything that has happened and her mother doesn't reveal the whole truth. When Cole returns will they be able to rebuild their life together or will a dangerous stalker destroy them? I loved the connection between Cole and Rose and the fact that they communicate despite people trying to get between them. Their love is strong and genuine! I liked the fact that Rose is a strong female character and wants to be independent but at the same time she is willing to accept help from her friends and Cole. Cole is very protective and supportive! A beautiful love story!
To Have and to Hold: A Second Chance Rock Star Romance is book 3 in the Hold Series. Book 2 ended with Cole and Rose in a car accident caused by Starr [Lisa] after she posed as an old lady with a broken down car and she shoots the bodyguard. Book 3 starts with Cole back in the spotlight for his world tour, Cole sings hit after hit to his delighted fans but, his heart remains solely in Los Angeles with Rose, who remains in critical condition after their terrible car accident [ Rose in a coma because of Starr]. The bodyguard is alive as he was shot in a shoulder. Rose is in a Rehab facility. Cole calls Lynn [Rose's mother] everyday to check on Rose and Cole sends flowers to Rose everyday. Rose does wake up from the Coma, her memory is not good. Between Lynn and Marco [Rose's ex from High School] have Rose believing that Cole is a danger to her health and Profession. Cole visits Rose when he comes back to the U.S. for a break and that is when he finds her awake and dancing. Rose ends up hollering and saying things to Cole, then she kicks Cole out of her room. Rose eventually moves in with Cole even though her mom tries to talk her out of it. Rose decides to open her own PR/Publicity firm. Greta sues Rose and Greta loses her case in Court. Cole has all kinds of surprises for Rose on her Birthday and while at a friend's house for the celebration Cole's SUV blows up [ due to a bomb that was planted on Cole's SUV by Starr] and catches the bodyguards car on fire. Rose's PR Firm is going great and Shari [ex employee of Greta's] and she has clients like Jessi and Ozzie. Cole and Ozzie are nominated for awards. Cole and Rose decided that after the awards show they were going to get away for a bit. While they are at the get away Starr strikes again. To find out how this books ends you truly need to read it. I truly truly loved this book!! You should start with "No One to Hold: A Second Chance Rock Star Romance (The Hold Series Book 1) then read "Hard to Hold: A Second Chance Rock Star Romance (The Hold Series Book 2)" and then "To Have and to Hold: A Second Chance Rock Star Romance (The Hold Series Book 3)" !! All three are extremely awesome books!!
To Have and to Hold (The Hold series #3) by Arell Rivers is the third book of a rock star romance trilogy. Except for one chapter, it's told in first person dual POV. This is the final part of the trilogy and concludes Cole and Rose's story.
This book picks up six weeks after the accident at the end of the previous book. Rose is in a coma, stalker Starr is still a threat, and it's time for Cole to leave for his world tour. Knowing that Rose wouldn't want him to cancel his tour, Cole reluctantly goes but continues to check in with her mother daily, hoping she'll wake. When Rose wakes up, she's missing pieces of her memory. As fragments return, she fears Cole is dangerous and responsible for what happened to her. So when he visits on a break from his tour, Rose sends him away. Can Cole help her remember the truth? Will Rose change her mind about him? And how far will Starr go to get what she wants?
I enjoyed part three of Cole and Rose's love story. I typically prefer reading dual POV for romance, so I was glad that this book switched back and forth between Cole and Rose's perspectives. The pacing was steady, but a little slower than the previous book; and there was still a decent amount of action and suspense. Cole is as sweet as ever, and Rose is no longer a pushover. She's stronger, and it's good to see her finally stand up for herself. It's also great to see Starr finally get what she deserves. Overall, this was a satisfying end to the trilogy.
In this third book of the Hold Series, Cole Manchester, famous rock star the world over, gets a clean bill of health after almost being killed in a car crash by Starr, his crazy stalker; however his publicist and the love of his life Rose Morgan isn't so lucky, having been lying in a coma for weeks. In spite of his concern and worry for Rose, Cole goes ahead with the first leg of his tour. But when Rose finally does wake up, she is disoriented and confused, and thinks Cole is a danger to her because it puts her at a dangerous risk as well. But with the help of her friends and those closest to her, Rose begins to start piecing her memories back together, and knows she ultimately has to trust her gut and follow her heart. A great finale to Cole and Rose's love story, I loved this book immensely! The only aspect I was kind of hoping for was but otherwise I really enjoyed reading it!
Book 3 of Cole and rose story and what a installment it is you learn so much more about cole and rose as well as the other characters we meet in books 1 through to 3. I dont want to give anything away to the final installment of there story or is it? well it could go either way.
To have and to hold is full of every emotion possible. Love life joy mouning laughter sadness evil and happiness. Arell Rivers takes you on a journey not just in this book but all 3.
Please do not read this book if you have not read books 1 and 2 first in order it will no make sense whats so ever you miss so much content the whats whos wheres and whens so please please get the others first.
Going straight into book 4 in the hold series yes theres books up to 6 lol
This is the thrilling conclusion of Cole and Rose's story!! And what a book it is!!❤️❤️. You really can't help but fall in love with Cole and all the characters in this series!! Cole almost lost Rose one fateful night. Now he is more determined than ever to protect her and make her his. This book definitely has some twists and turns but what an ending!! This is such a great trilogy and as a reader I absolutely loved it!! It you want a great romantic series with mystery, murder and mayhem than this series is for you!!
To Have and to Hold is the highly anticipated third and final installment of Cole and Rose's story in the Hold trilogy by Arell Rivers. This one picks up about 6 weeks after the second book (Hard To Hold) left off, and now it's told from Cole and Rose's points of view. I loved the author's writing style, and the storytelling was pure perfection. This trilogy will definitely be put on my re-read list, but in the meantime, I'll definitely be reading her back-list. This trilogy is highly recommended with all the stars!
I started the series sceptical. Got pulled in pretty quickly and I have to say the 3rd book was my favorite although I do think the end was a bit abrupt as I would have liked more on Cole and Rose. Hoping there will be more in the series to satisfy what I feel like I am missing. I wish I knew there was one book that offered the whole story with prequel and sequel. I would have chosen that If you enjoy a good Rockstar book this is a pretty good one
Rose and Cole's story is such a great tale. Two people who met years ago in college find each other again. Lots of steamy scenes in this book. I read the 2nd and 3rd book in 1 day as I was glued to finding out if the crazy stalker was caught and what happens to both main characters. This author writes well and I really enjoy her books. Looking forward to reading more by her!
Cole's whole world has been turned upside down. He has to keep living, he's got his tour to do; how can he though when his heart isn't there? Rose can't remember what happened. She doesn't know how to do certain things and has to relearn a lot. Will she be able to get back to herself? Will they find each other again or will their world's completely grow apart?
Cole and Rose stole my heart. I was rooting for them through the whole series. The author did a fantastic job keeping me interested. I couldnt turn the pages fast enough. I believe this is one of the best rocker romance books I've read in a long time. The suspense and all the action was great.
Wow, just wow! If I could give this series 10 stars I would have laughed, I’ve cried, and every emotion in between. I fell in love with Cole and Rose. All their friends are absolutely amazing! Was very sad about Roberto and Jared. But life must go on! I hope there will be a book about McCannon and Ozzie! More please of these great characters
I was really glad to have this story wrapped up. I was also really glad that the main characters didn’t spend the entire book trying to work things out themselves. There was enough conflict to keep it interesting just with the whole stalker situation. A couple of times in the middle it seemed to stretch on a little, but overall a good story.
Cole’s stalker dominated this last book. This is very disconcerting. I wanted to enjoy reading, but I was constantly aware she can strike anytime (which happened). In the end it’s like she had the last laugh. How could she evade the whole team looking for her? Beats me. It kind of spoiled my enjoyment of this book.
From the first word in this series I was hooked. Rose is so lucky to have Cole. She is productive and confident with him by her side. Cole is a better man because of her. Side characters are also strong in their love for them. But they all blend together to make this story a smart choice to read
The final installment of Cole and Rose rises to epic heights. The love they share is beautiful and show stopping. The hurdles they surpass are impressive and heart stopping at times.
I never know what to expect from this author an I’m always completely riveted to my seat, on bated breath, unable to wait to turn the next page and this book was no different
This series got better with each book. I absolutely loved this book. I didn't expect several of the things that happened. I was afraid the tension was going in a different direction but was happy with the direction it took. I'm sad to leave these characters. I look forward to reading the spinoffs.
I'm having a hard time finding words right now! I absolutely loved this series. Cole and Rose have something very sacred from college to beyond. I hope to see them flourish through the other books in the series! 💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
Wow! What a way to end Cole and Rose's story! There is so much heart and emotion in this story as well as suspense. I loved that these two really learn to listen to themselves, believe in themselves, as well as communicate with each other.
I enjoyed reading this story about Rose and Cole! So much goes on I had to keep reading to find out what is happening with Rose and if she will get her memory back and also get back with Cole since he never gave up on her. I love how this story ends and I recommend this book !!!!!
Filled with angst and not knowing what would happen next, this book was a fitting end to this trilogy. So sad at the end, it was also happy. Rose and Cole are a memorable couple and I feel grateful to have read their story.
OMG this was so good from start to finish. I am not going to post any potential spoilers if you finished book two and are looking at this one. You definitely need to read this one. So. Damn. Good. I see there is some spin offs of this series. It's on my TBR short list!
