This reads like a blog post, and not a well-written one.

I was wanting to get a sense of what climbing Kilimanjaro is like for the average person, and insights about what will make the climb more enjoyable. I did get a bit of both.

The author comes across as young and naïve, though sweet and good-natured, which wins her a star.

Nice book

This was a nice account of a Kilimanjaro hike. Provided good information for prospective hikers as well as cool pictures to give the reader a sense of what the hike will be like.

Super quick read and informational. Enjoyed the intro and all the travel inspiration, but overall the writing seemed a little rushed. Wish there was more insightfulness.

Interesting read but not the best writing, a little clunky at times. It was clear the author is new to this.
It was a lot more focused on practical advice for hiking Kilimanjaro than I expected, which I’m sure is helpful if you actually do this. I read it out of curiosity because I love traveling but I expected more “Eat Pray Love” and less “step by step guide” but that wasn’t why I knocked a star off.
