I like to tell stories. Mostly with hot guys and happily ever afters. They gotta work for it though. No free lunches on my watch.

this was only 20 pages but omg!!
dark, twisted, bloody, sexy. i loved it.

i was definitely left wanting more of dante & seto.

“are you ready, seto?” dante asked him, laying a hand over his chest. tick-tick-tick. “are you ready to give me your heart?”
seto’s eyes glittered. “anything.”
the last word escaped him like a sigh, like a last wish.
and dante leaned in to kiss him.

really wish this was a full length novel.
the overall premise was really interesting. the atmosphere of the dystopian world displayed here was also very intriguing and fascinating.

Holy hell...this was too much.
I barely got through it. Chicken much? Yes!
Far too dark for me. Yes, I closed my eyes and fought down a surge of nausea.
Apparently, I am not made out for dark freaky hunger game worlds. :/

no rating...I should have looked closer. This is, my bad.

No rating from me, because it would be entirely unjust. I'm sure readers looking for a dark and twisted reading will love this one, but I should've paid more attention to the tags and skipped it. Lisa Henry writes beautifully as always, but this just wasn't my cup of tea.

I don't know why I did it but I let myself think there might be a dark ending to this as well. Probably because of how Dante acted in the beginning. But obviously I shoulda known, especially with the summary and... Well, always happens, lol.

Overall, a great read though. Very interesting. I like this sort of premise. Read it before, but it was heroes saving the "civilians" from criminals instead. This is a great twist!

I would definitely like to read more of these two and continue their story.

Dante and Seto are...

depraved

twisted

absolutely brilliant.

"They killed and fucked and bled and the camera loved them.

They owned the world.

One day, they would burn it."

I should have seen this coming…Lisa Henry never disappoints. I loved it, it was great.

I can’t think anything about it I didn’t liked. The characters were so interesting, so intriguing and a delight to read. The plot so good and, obviously I didn’t see anything coming. I didn’t understood what was happening at the beginning and when I did, it was amazing.

I wasn’t expecting a happy fairytale here, which is why I said the author never disappoints when it comes to explore the darkest pieces human nature. I really recommend anyone thinking about reading it to beware the warning tags.

The only issue I had about the book, but I already knew it was going to be that way, is the length. I wish so much to get to know better this characters. It was a great short story.

Lisa Henry's dark stories are actually fairly dark, meaning it's not the fluff with fangs stuff I also enjoy.

Give Me Your Heart was violent, yet pretty. The prose was trying too hard at the beginning, but the tone settled soon enough and the flow improved.

The story was just enough, it didn't get the chance to become boring, and enough glimpses were shown of the world to get a vague idea of the setting, but that setting was mostly used to build the atmosphere.

Still, there wasn't that certain something, though it did come close.

For some reason I kept picturing this as a manga or a graphic novel. That would be such a cool adaptation.

Have to say this is the least favorite till now.

I loveeeed the end but felt unaffected by it's start.

All this action packed into 10 days is amazing.

I felt it was brutal but that didn't turn me off. It's just that I just finished reading about Kiah and Parker, and was blown away and it's wrong to rate this piece with that in the back of my mind.

YES YES YES. Loved this. It was like Hunger Games with more killing, more blood and more gay sex. What's not to love?

I was surprised by how sweet this couple were considering they both kill people for entertainment. My only wish with stories this good, is that they could be longer.

Um. Not sure how to rate this one. When the tags say there is blood play, you best pay attention. Yikes. This is quintessential dark Lisa Henry, well-written of course, but if it's not quite your jam I suggest you give it a pass. 3.5 stars even so....and 32 pages on my ereader.

Another brilliant Lisa Henry short story, featuring some elements I've seen from her before: sparsely drawn settings a la William Gibson, a focus on the characters' thoughts, sensual exquisite cruelty, erotic fascination consummated, and an ending that leaves you wondering.
A+ highly recommend.

This was bloody dark. And by bloody I mean that literally. I could have read a whole novel about these two, damn. I’m almost angry I didn’t get one.

This story made me realize how abhorrent I find blood play. While I enjoy Lisa Henry's other stories, I prefer lighter fare. Dante and Seto's story is not for the faint of heart (pun intended).
