Jake Adams, morose and distraught, has isolated himself on the frigid island of Iceland during the heart of the Aurora Borealis. Again, he considers retiring and drifting into an alcoholic coma. But then he is summoned back to work for Spanish billionaire and benefactor, Carlos Gomez. Jake doesn’t hesitate to help. Young women are disappearing in South America, and Jake now understands how that would impact him if his daughter had been taken. With the help of his old friends, Jake heads to Argentina to take up the search. Jake quickly discovers this case is more than the simple abduction of young women. A shadowy cabal of criminals has built a covert network of corruption that will make the Panama Papers look like the ramblings of a child. Can Jake and friends unravel this sophisticated network and save the girls? Can he also save himself in the process?

Overly simplistic moving from venue to venue. Bad guys in their fortress with minimal security? Outlasting superior numbers of bad guys who have automated weapons using hand guns? Traveling long distances undetected in a stolen car? Communicating directly and instantly with intelligence agency Director? Not very realistic.
As I said it was a great book by an evan greater author. I will be looking forward to the next book. The author did a good job of developing the players in the book. The principals were developed slowly with an understanding of their role.
This book and the characters are interesting. Jake Adams is a hot shot operator and exciting. He also is a ladies man although he doesn't seem to know it.
