Yes, Yes, Yes. The 'Flashing Fire Engines' gets read everyday with great gusto so everyone enjoys it! With great illustrations and catchy rhyme, my four year old listens quite attentively and joins in when he can. He likes that the are animals are the firemen and that they are all different shapes and sizes. The bird is big and fat while the mouse is small and thin and the rabbit is a bit taller but thin. (Sometimes it get called a kangaroo because it's ears are long like a kangaroo too. But, we know it's really a rabbit!) It's a happy book because the animals are always smiling and there's a happy end to it. Everyday, the three animals are always ready to get to that fire to put it out and save the dog. At the end of the day, however, they get back to the station and get a break to play some basketball to show that, really, they are just like you and me (even though they are actually animals). It comes in a nice soft cover binding for ease of use (although hard cover is available) and there's a nice summary of fire equipment on the final page too.

Fire engines are waiting to go on a rescue! It walks us through the process of going on a firecall and we see how firefighters prepare their gear and how they use different equipment including fire hoses, and ladders, to then go back to the station to rest and wait for a new call.
The illustrations in this book showed a variety of ways firefighters use teamwork to save people. They can go up ladders in pairs to help bring down a person from a burning building and when they’re done, together they clean up their equipment.

A great children's book on the most important details of being a firefighter in rhyming format. Rhyming always makes a book more fun to read. It's got fun and playful pictures and a detailed description of the firefighter's equipment on the last page. A great way to learn about firefighters and the important work that they do.

This story describes what fire trucks do, as well as what fire fighters do. This was a fun book and I feel as though it will be appealing to both young boys and girls. This was a picture book that was almost like an informational book.

An educational and informative book. The colourful illustrations elevates this book and stops it from being too dry. I can't comment on the CD as it was missing from our library copy.

We checked this book out of the library. I was very anti-library-book at first, for reasons only I will ever understand, but I made an exception for this one because it had a fire truck in it. I like fire trucks. The wee-ooo of the siren made me smile. We read this book every day at naptime until we returned it the next week.
