Rate this book
Ian O'Connor has everything going for him. He's got the O'Connor drop dead good looks, an incredible body and to top it off he's a doctor. Why wouldn't anyone want the man but none of that was the reason Sandy Churchill was head over heels in love with the man. After he had stood her up for their first official date, she was weary of taking another chance. When she ends up in the hospital because she turned her back on a criminal determined to get away from her, Ian admits that he loves her and wants another chance. A secret from his past throws Sandy into a tailspin, but she has a secret that she's hiding from everyone. Ian's on cloud nine when he finally takes a leap of faith and tells the woman he's loved for four years how he feels and wants a chance to make up for his screw up. They have two weeks of bliss, but a murder and secrets come back to haunt him. Sandy's reaction tells him there's another reason why she's avoiding him. She's hiding something, but he has no idea what and to make matters worse there's danger coming from her past that could hurt the people he loves the most.

What does someone say to describe themselves? You could start with giving what others say about you. Scratch that. It doesn't really matter what others think about you. It matters what you think of yourself. So here we go.

First of all, I'm a wife and mother. I'm also a new grandmother. That alone would fulfil any woman's life. To be honest it does. But.....

I'm also a writer. Someone who loves to tell stories of love, suspense, heartache and of course happily ever after. For most of my life, I've written those stories for myself. A type of therapy, I suppose. I love the characters I create. They become part of who I am because there's part of me in them.

So.... Now that you know this about me. I hope when you read my books, you fall in love with them.

You should also know that I'm a Newfoundlander. What is that you ask? Well we're a proud people who live on an island, off the east coast of Canada. Some people believe Canada ends with Nova Scotia. It doesn't. If you keep going east, there is a beautiful island full of amazing people and magnificent scenery. That is where my stories are set because let’s face it. The best stories always come from the places you know and love.

If there is anything else you would like to know about me. Ask me!

Secrets has a funny way of catching up to you and not all in a good way. For Ian and Sandy it seemed that some of their secrets hunted them in a way that kept their relationship from being 100%. Lies, deception, half truths and all came into play for this story but in the end throughout all the cursing, shock, anger, and yelling (from me) I all came to a head.

One of my favorite things about reading is the adventure you get to go on between the first word and the last. Dangerous Secrets takes Ian and the woman he is developing feeling for on quite the ride before they find their path. The secrets that are being kept will keep you guessing as to what is going to happen next and good luck trying to figure it out ahead of time.

Dr Ian O'Connor messed up a little while back and he isn't the only one with a secret. Sandy's past is not all peaches and cream and there are secrets from her past that she doesn't even know about. This book is full of suspense, romance and a mystery that will keep you guessing. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

It was my pleasure to give an honest review of this book that I received from the author.

From tragedy to fairytale - this is one starts with evil to the most romantic ending ever!

Ian sure busted on his brothers but you can tell he is perfecting his heart after his best friend loves him and leaves him. He been burned and not letting anyone close. He sees two of his brothers John and James the twins both fall in love and a little jealousy but he is scared. He is a typical screw up the best thing ever, then bombshells and his life never to be them same. This plot wow evil truly learns and the fallout huge. Violence 3 serial killing n murder. Sex 2 and no cliff hangers but the character's you will want to know all the brothers fall for.....AJ I can't wait for his story.

These two were one of my least favorite couples in the series. I thought she was an over-bearing, loud mouth, pain in the drain and he seemed kind of wimpy to me. This book's plot had a lot of twists and turns. To be honest, I had to read some of the climactic scenes a few times just to keep all the characters straight! The author used the other brother's security company and it's employees as the fall guy in this book (and others in the series) and I did not like that. And again, bad grammar rears it's ugly head in this book too. But I like the brothers and want to read their stories so I keep on reading and correct the grammar in my head.

Pretty good

Never easy to guess the villains in this series, which is new for me. Also, there is a shit ton familiar revelations. Which is/can be good and bad. Made my head spin.

What a fabulous romantic suspense story. I have not read anything previously from Ms. Brewer, but I am so looking forward to reading more.
Ian is part of the O'Conner clan and he's been madly in love with Sandy. There are so many twists and turns, I love the fact I didn't guess who the real bad guy was.
Each character has so many levels that I enjoyed watching them unfold in front of me. Even though this is book three in the series, I feel that it could be read as a standalone. Ms. Brewer gave you enough back story where I didn't feel lost at any point. I certainly look forward to catching up on the O'Conner brothers, and to new material from her. 5/5 Cross posting to My Reading Reality
