Felix Howard has been on a long journey back from the brink of exile. After the attack on Cullen Volakis’ chosen Ethan, Felix has been on the outside of Coven society. He had been an unwilling participant in the matter and that is the only reason he still breathes today. After months of struggle, trying to win his way back to respect, he now finds himself on death’s door. He did everything in his power to protect Perry Kirk from the Jackal that had infiltrated the Crimson Coven. He knew he would die, but he was determined to give honor to his service of the Coven. As he clings to life, his only hope lies with a wolf pack two states away. Can the wolf antidote pull Felix back to health? What other surprises await when wolves and vampires meet, evenly matched on common ground. Will there be peace or will centuries old prejudices keep Felix from recovering and keep him from his predestined love?
Iver Cross is the Alpha of the Savage Mountain Wolf Pack in Pennsylvania. His road has not been easy, but he and his Beta Levi have built a prosperous pack. When the Crimson Coven came calling, looking for a kidnapped Omega Wolf named Perry Kirk, Iver was very willing to help. A bit of good will with a Coven as wealthy and powerful as Crimson could go a long way towards strengthening his pack. Now, Crimson has come calling again. This time to save one of their own who was mauled by a Jackal in service to the Coven. Iver respects a warrior and hopes the antidote will save Felix’s life. What he doesn’t know is that this Crimson Warrior, this Felix Howard will turn his life upside down. He could be his fated love or Felix could be his undoing. The outcome is up to Alpha Cross himself.

For me this was a little better than the usual. I usually don’t like angsty books, but when they are short like this it doesn’t bother me too too much.
This book definitely had the whole “communication breakdown” trope going for it, which I also hate. But for me, in this story, it really showed that this author could actually put some emotion into their writing, which I found a big plus.
After vampire Felix is poisoned with jackal saliva while saving a chosen's life he is taken to Alpha Iver's pack for the antidote. However it doesn't work. As they gather to remove his life support Iver visits Felix to see the man that so many admire and discovers Felix is his mate.
There is much confusion, many misunderstandings and bias. I just wanted to hug and hold Felix. The angst level is medium. I thought it was better than the last book.
…there are much better books in the series. I was looking forward to Iver’s story but ended up being frustrated with the back and forth miscommunication between Felix and Iver. It wasn’t even good miscommunication. It’s very atypical with the fated mate storylines that Stretke usually writes, and for that I’m glad. Give me an outside influence any day over miscommunications. Felix, for all his worth standing up to a jackal, came off as an extremely weak character and not in a good way. By the end, I wasn’t sure that I liked either of the MCs.
I really enjoy this author's work, however, I have a huge distaste for misunderstandings or lack of communication between the two main characters. There were so many moments when Felix didn't feel that Iver really loved him as being his chosen or fated mate, which saddened me. I did love the end, and the story was well written and eventually warmed my heart. :)
I really enjoyed this book as it was different from the other books in this one they had to fight to be together as they are from two different worlds.
Felix has come so far and it broke my heart that his mate treated him like he did, but he stood up for himself and what he wanted. But it worked out in the end two worlds join together for a stronger union.
I agree with another commenter that the stories keep getting better and better. Felix and Iver had some problems with their bonds, but it ended with a HEA. This book is also a lead into another story line that sounds exciting. Recommend.
This is Book eight of the Crimson Coven Book Series
This was a decent read it's interesting how these two species who traditionally were natural enemies are somehow learning to respect each other . I'm looking forward to more of this series .
I think that I say this with each installment, but this book was my favorite! I always wish for these books to be longer, but the story that they tell is fun and engaging.
Felix had been through a lot from the beginning of the Crimson Coven books and I was happy to see him redeem himself in Cullin's eyes. Ivar was strong and just what Felix needs to help him feel valued... Once they actually get in the same page.
I normally don't have a lot of patience for plots that depend on the MC's not communicating at all - where one conversation that any normal person would have could clear everything up. I liked that this book had miscommunication, but not a lack of it. Both Felix and Ivar thought that they were expressing themselves clearly, but didn't realize that the culture differences between shifters and vampires was big enough to cause vastly different interpretations.
This is the 8th book in the Crimson Vampire Coven Series
Felix has been poisoned and on the edge of death defending Perry from being attack. When The Cremson Coven ask Alpha Cross with help antidote. Iver has been so busy with his business that he has been ignore the feeling to go see Felix, when he is told going to take off support. When Iver finally meets his mate who is on the edge of death he is going to have to fight to when his mate back. The Pack and Coven have never gotten along and with a vampire as the Alpha Mate. There is discord within the pack and Alpha mating. Can Felix overcomes feeling of hopeless and get his mate? Highly recommend
I cannot wait for the next book.. I love how everyone is finding there fore sees and mates BUT I cannot wait until they go to war with who is trying to sabotage them. Love this series
Let me start by saying I've read all 8 books one after the other...so I had a great marathon going....so this review is about the series so far...I enjoyed it very much...I liked all the couples and the later books you see a plot really start to come together...I will definitely continue to read this series....
Another good one in the series. Glad to see Felix was able to redeem himself. The story continues to peel away the numerous conspiracy levels. Cannot wait to see who is behind all this.
This was a great addition to the series. Loved the characters a d story line and continuation from previous plots. Can not wait to see what happens next with this new addition!!
