When alpha bodyguard Robert gets assigned to protect Jake, the governor's omega son, the job seems easy. But Jake is headstrong and has no patience for the overprotective alpha until close quarters, a case of bad timing, and unexpected peril throw Robert and Jake together as mates.
This story is a 16,000 word stand-alone high-heat M/M romance featuring shifters with alpha/omega dynamics with no cliffhangers and a happily ever after ending.

Eu gostei, facinho de ler e curto. A história é interessante e os personagens tem um desenvolvimento ok. O final é super abrupto, não fecha nenhum dos dilemas do livro, absolutamente nenhum. Ele vai terminar a faculdade grávido? O pai dele vai aceitar o parceiro dele? Que ameaça é essa que fez ele precisar de seguranças, mas ele nunca foi atacado nenhuma vez durante o livro? Até o incêndio no final que podia ter se tornado a resposta pra última pergunta, não foi.
A very strange short story that had very little storyline or plot. The ending wasn't great either. Very predictable book that was very debatable where shifters and mpreg were concerned as they were both just mentioned in passing. Sorry not for me.
I liked the characters in this book. They aren't well developed but you get enough for the story. I liked the story just thought it ended to abruptly. I'm looking forward to see what the next story is about.
A short story with almost no world-building (e.g. nothing on A/B/O dynamics for newbies; nothing about them as werewolf shifters; nothing about why Jake's dad the governor is such a big deal) or character development.
this was a quick, predictable A/o shifter book. Not badly written, fune for a brief read and a cheap. The character developed and plot were not very detailed.
I love the writing duo of McRae and Maltese! Alpha Bodyguard is short, fluffy and sweet. There isn't a ton of character development (mostly due to the length) but there's something about the alpha/omega, enemies to lovers trope that just does it for me.
