Carey Anderson was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she currently resides. Carey comes from a large family, which is often reflected in the world she created with multiple multi-dimensional characters. Her current passion is African American Romantic Fiction; one day she will add romantic suspense, and children’s books to her resume.
Carey began the Wallace Family Saga as a doodle on her cell phone. Within five years that doodle turned into a complete sixteen book series (most of which can be read as standalone books). The series spans over fifty years into the lives of the Wallace and Latour family story that came to a climatic end when the finale was released in February 2018.
During this time Carey also managed to write a couple of true standalones to provide new readers with a sample of her writing style. Especially for the reader who doesn’t have the time to invest in her saga right away.
Carey would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know her better. Hopefully you’ve found a character within Carey’s world that resonates with you so much that you may actually feel she somehow wrote about you or someone you know.

I can’t believe it!!!

I decide to take my schedule time to read this book. I decide to give this author chance to read her work. Secrets & Lies by Carey Anderson is a good book. Carey Anderson does a good job. Secrets & Lies is my first book that I read this from this author. There are lot of secrets, lies and dramatic from this book. The characters are amazing and something else. The storyline is on point.

I didn’t want this book will be ended. Hopefully, I want to read more from Alaina, Tavio, Royce and the rest of characters. Royce, Ralph and Royce’s Mom are examples of secrets and Lies. I’m happy that Alaina finds a happiness, peaceful and freedom from Tavio because Tavio is a handsome and good man to Alaina.

I’ll continue to support and read more from this author.

Good Job:

First off I love long books, as long as the flow keeps going. This one did. But there were times that the time line jumped and I had to reread parts to understand what just happened. I'm a white woman reading a black woman's story so bare with me.....the characters were awesome, I loved them. Their stories kept me going. I had a hard time understanding some of the slang terms at times but it wasn't too difficult.
Technical issues - no table of contents. .that's a pet peeve of mine and editing...you "shake your head" for no and "nod your head" for yes....personal pet peeves of mine. Over all I enjoyed this book. Keep writing!

This was such a good read however the book was extremely long to where I only read 300 and something pages and a friend of mine read the rest and we exchanged thoughts of the book that way however I truly did enjoy reading this book and; this is the second book that I have read by the wonderful Carey Anderson and this will not be my last. So the characters that I wanted to ring there necks in the story were Alaina and Royce and I felt like they were damaged in a way. Tavio is my baby I love me some Tavio and he was actually my favorite character. All in all this was such a good read.

Why is it over?

I'm so upset that this was a standalone, I'm hating the fact that it's over. The story, the characters, the drama, I just didn't want it to end. What a great job Carey. Your story telling is addicting. Can't wait to see what's next.

Great job Carey Anderson. This book was a ball of emotions. I wanted to slap fire from Royce and shake Alaina. I'm in love with Tavio. This book deserves every star it receives!!!!!!!!!
