Clarke Gannon can longer deny her feelings for dragon-shifter Naelen Spencer. Unfortunately, her feelings for gargoyle Logan Gray haven’t gone away. A harrowing four months held captive by the psychotic vampire Ronan Cunningham has left the three bonded by their shared trauma and a thirst for vengeance against the vampire. Clarke can’t choose between Naelen or Logan, and the three are inextricably tangled together. Cunningham now has seven of nine very powerful magical objects. He can’t get the other two or he’ll be unstoppable. So, together, Clarke and her guys go looking for one of the remaining objects in an old southern mansion complete with gargoyle servants who turn to stone on turrets and eerie noises that come from the attic. They aren’t there long before they’re face-to-face with danger. The Brotherhood rides in on motorcycles with guns. Rogue dragons swoop in through windows. And they hear that a reprobate mage is lurking outside, eager for some vengeance of his own.

This book hasn’t left me all day - I can’t seem to shake the feelings the ending gave me. For some reason I thought this book was going to be the last one in the series and wrapping it up. Even though I really (!!!) want to know what happens next I’m not sure I will keep on reading because I don’t like the feelings the book gave me.

This book really deserves a higher mark then my ++ but because of all the feelings it left me with I don’t seem to be able to give it more then that. Most of the book was a solid ++++. The feelings a single +. So two ++ it is… Not sure why.

I never write reviews but as I said this book hasn’t left me all day so I feel compelled to write it even though English isn’t my first language. So sorry about the wording or misspelling.

Love love love this book!!

Again I say I love this book! This is closer to true life relationships than the others. As much as I love Anita Blake, the Author is right. Where is the angst and hardships for the men? I'm excited to see what happens with the Green King and Penny as well. I do love those stories too. I am hoping this will be a good crossover like the St. Nokken short, but not be as short. I really feel for these characters as I have always connected with Clarke on a more deeper level than Penny. At least until she had her baby. Anyways great read!! Thank you!

Really getting tired of the cliffhangers

The writers inability to create an ending is really getting on my last nerve. If she was writing a monthly serial she could maybe get away with it but months between books means when the "ending" comes out (which is not guaranteed seeing as this it touted as a trilogy) I'm going to have ceased caring.

I can't catch a break man. I really thought this was the last book of the series. don't get me wrong I'm glad it's not cause I love the series, but geez did it have to leave off so gut wrenching and like you have this invisible hand squeezing your heart to a puddle.
