Seemingly stuck in his ways, Pierre struggles to come to terms with the fact that he has a girlfriend whose name isn’t Carissa. Though his feelings for Nyoka have grown over the months, he can’t find it within himself to let the past go. He is willing to do whatever he can to win her heart again, even if that means unintentionally hurting the person who knows him best, in the process. The revelation of being cheated on, hits Carissa where she least expects it to hurt the most… her mind. After several attempts of trying to grasp why her boyfriend of over a year’s time would deceive her in such a way, life continues to beat down upon her. Pierre being indecisive of the woman he wants to claim, doesn’t make her situation any better. Still not sure if this relationship thing is for her, Carissa shuts the world out, and hides a secret from the closest people to her while doing so. Crazy is, as crazy does. That is the only phrase to describe the turmoil Tiffany has abruptly caused in Shemel and Brix’s life. Not for the games she is trying to play, Shemel puts her in her place, or so he thinks. His rap career and relationship is on the line, and may soon all come to an end if he can’t get control of the situation. Sierra, Marvell, Ricky and Tasia are back as well and their story picks up where it left off… messy as ever, but blossoms into something beautiful. Life has a way of teaching you lessons when you least expect it, but when it does… you either learn and grow from it or let it destroy you. In the final installment of “He Want That Old Thang Back”, readers are taken on a journey of unexpected beginnings and endings with some of their favorite characters. Even when these characters think they know it all about the people they love, they are left questioning was it love to begin with.

I enjoyed this series. I was happy to see Pierre & Carrisa give it another chance after all the ruckus they had experienced being apart. Great ending! Ready for next book!
This was such a joy to read. I cried with these characters. I laughed with them, and at some points I was even cussing their asses out (like that damn Tiffany!). Now at one point towards the end, I was like “soooo they really not gone get it together?” And was about to cry, but I should have known this author was going to do me right! This was a great read!!!
This was such an awesome conclusion to this series! I was definitely in my feelings when it appeared that things were not going as I wanted. I enjoyed catching up with Brix and Shemel and their drama and following Sierra and the choices she makes. Carissa, Pierre, Nyoka and Milly were another story! I wanted to shake them all up!! It was nice to see everything eventually come full circle. If you love romance, alpha males, and a little drama, definitely 1-click!
Wow, Mouth wide open Tiffany the 2nd crazy ***** in this series her and that Reilyn, Mel got that bomb I'm not gonna even finish that but I love Carrisa & Pierre and Sierra & Marvell's love story poor Milly but hey he could have avoided alot had he opened his mouth earlier.
I mean maybe I need to change my reading genre! Most books from my fav authors lately have nothing but weak and dumb women in them! Brix deserved that bat for acting dumb! OH AND WAS MELLY GAY?? That was never cleared up for us but he had HIV??!! There was no closure for some of these story lines! It’s a no for me!
Ms. Brianna know she can write some series and this series was so, so good. I only wish that the ending would show Brix and Shamel having the baby and a little bit more about Ri and Pierre' relationship. Other than this book was worth the purchase!
Pierre and Carissa took to long to find the way back to each other. Nyoka knew Pierre wasn't in love with her. Ricky just lost the best thing that happened to him. Si and Marvell need a book.
I thought carrissa and Pierre weren't going to make it back to each other lol I'm glad they did and whee shemel attract nothing but crazy women like wtf that Tiffany girl was really making me so mad I'm glad she went to jail.
You did it again. You brought that fire with this one. It was time when i was like she gonna have me in my emotions and dont no one have time for all that. Good job love how everyone fed off on everyone.
Wow, this second part was mind blowing. I knew Tiffany was crazy but wow. I didn't really care for Pierre girlfriend, she was low key hating and her attitude sucked. I was pissed off at Milly for hurting Carissa the way he did, and I really thought that Ralph killed him. I'm happy that Shemel and Brix are good and I was so happy for Sierra and Marvell. Rick got what he deserved by playing with her heart. I was a little nervous about Pierre and Carissa, I'm soo glad they got back together. Great read. You did not disappoint
For a minute, I was about to be mad about Carissa and Pierre. They went through so much and to make it out together was a blessing. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Ricky was looking crazy at the end.
Omg this book was everything and more! so sad the series is over but enjoyed every bit of it! Briann has definitely crept up to the top of my favorites list she writes banger after banger and I can't wait to see what's next!!!
Briann Denae is good. I like her writing and her story lines but I felt this one dragged between Pierre and Carissa. I feel like I would have liked it to end with Carissa living her life a different way like Sierra did, throw me a plot twist lol. I feel like some things were just rushed and not tied all in but all in all it was a nice read. I really liked Sierra and Marvell.
This book had me in my feelings. I thought I was going to have to curse BriAnne out lol. -Mo !! Took me through the motions, but it was worth it in the end. I got my happy ending. Loved it. Not spoiling anything for y'all so JUST READ IT !!!!!!
Pierre is really that dude and this book is definitely a lesson learn you have to loose some in order to what you need and know I'm happy he realized RI was it for him sorry he lost the baby but he will have them with her i hope it's another one
Think first before you take action. Someone always jumps the gun thinking it will miss them. No, you will always get shot back in some way. Avoid crazy people as much as possible.
This one had a lot of twist and turn and it also lord have mercy .tiffany ass was crazy as hell I guess that's what good sex do to you .glad they are taking it slow hope it's a part 3 coming .
I'm sooo happy with this Finale!! While I enjoyed Mel & Brix, I was really rooting for Pierre & Carissa. Their relationship had me too emotional! Not trying to give anything away so I'll end my review by saying....Job well done
This book showed so many aspects of relationships. That situation with Milky was crazy. People should always be honest when in relationships. Tiffany was bat s*#+ crazy and delusional. I’m so glad Carissa and Pierre ended up together and that Si found Marvell
I'm so glad Carissa and Pierre made up. It was driving me crazy. That Tiffany was a nut case, and she got what she deserved. I loved how Sierrea grew as a woman. This was a great series..
This was one hell of a continuation to end this story. This was definitely a must read. The characters definitely showed maturity and growth. Mistakes were made but lessons were definitely a lesson learnt. Will definitely recommend this book Great job Bri
Yes he did get his old thing back . This book makes you believe that anything is possible and that sometimes you have to unthink the thinkable and things ain’t always what it seems. Heartbreak and jealousy can be a mean thing , but you can’t let it get you down.
