Return to the world of the Kellington and Emerson families in this Regency romance collection of three novellas.
Leticia Emerson, Violet Kellington and Anna Emerson have been friends most of their lives. Little did they know a visit from three Eton school boys would change everyone's lives for the better.
Fifteen-year-old Lord Wesley Addington has just learned he has a half-sister, Lady Leticia Emerson. Over the next decade, Violet Kellington falls in love with the man who only sees her as his sister's friend.
Lord Robert Carmichael has been all but abandoned by his family due to his pronounced limp, and he doesn't want to pass on his affliction to a child. Though he is determined not to marry, Letty Emerson sees only the brave man who fought through the pain of his illness and the scorn of his family.
Scholarship student Mark Jones is torn between two the London stews he was born into and the peers who will never accept him. Anna Emerson, who has an English father and a Native American mother, knows she has found her soul's mate.
The book contains three intersecting novellas, touching on love, loss and acceptance. It revisits the Kellington and Emerson families, more than a decade after their stories concluded. It is a love letter from the author to the two families which have meant so much to her.
There are, of course, graphic sexual scenes, but surprisingly not that many of them.

If you're like me and enjoy romance written in series, you know that once the series is done, we are literally going through withdrawal. We hope and hope that the author might one day give us a glimpse of those many couples that we've come to know and love through their wonderful prose and plots.
Well, let me tell you! I was one happy camper when this author decided not to wait years and years to let me know what's been going on in Kellington and Emerson Universe!
Every character introduced to us in this story feels genuine and well rounded and as usual, the dialogue between everyone never lacks wit and humor, for which this author is well known for.
Violet and Wes's story was fun because of her strong personality.
#####
"Let me see if I understand," she said, taking three steps toward him and bringing her lemon verbena with her. "You were so... taken with our kiss that you decided it was necessary to put an ocean between us. I am flattered beyond belief. I can only imagine how much further you would have run had we taken things further."
#####
Robert and Letty's story was heartbreaking because of who these two were. Both, but especially Robert, had to be strong not only for themselves, but for each other as well. I love flawed characters, and giving Robert an infirmity, made his story even sweeter.
#####
"When it had finally become apparent that, despite the hard-earned progress Robert had made, he would never walk without a pronounced limp, his father had called him into his study and said he was ashamed that the historic title would one day be handed down to such a weakling.
“Fear not, my lord,” Robert had said. “Mayhap another illness will kill me before that happens.”
His father had leaned back in his seat and said, “God knows either of your brothers would do a better job of it. At least we would not have to worry that the next generation would be deformed imbeciles.”

Mark and Anna's story was just as poignant as the other two and you'll love this young man who grew without the family, yet found one in Kellingtons and Emmersons.
#####
"Most of the boys at Eton were entitled arses. They judged a boy by his accent first and character never. And while Mark could imitate the speech of the boys of the ton, he had an East London accent. But even if he’d had their diction, he would never be part of their circles because birthright was the only thing which mattered to them.
Lost in thought, he didn’t see the fight until he was almost on top of it. He heard it first, from the crowd of boys cheering them on. In London, Mark had seen too many real fights which ended in death and serious injury to have much of a stomach for more blood. He was about to walk around it when he saw Percy Reynolds, the reigning school bully. That was hardly surprising since he loved to get his mates to fight for him. But it was the other boy who drew Mark’s attention. He was Robert Carmichael, known as Lorton, who had a pronounced limp. Usually, Mark didn’t care all that much when toffs fought amongst themselves, but since three boys were attacking one who was already at a disadvantage he decided it was time to step in. He just had to make sure not to hurt the boys too much, because while toffs could hit each other with impunity, Mark realized the very same thing could get him expelled."

I must say, even though this book is comprised of three novella's, it never felt like these stories were separate because there was a common thread to all of them and the plot wasn't rushed which in the end helped me to connect to the main characters and enjoy their happily ever after's.
By now I've come to respect this authors writing voice and I’ve yet to be disappointed by it. Her stories never fail to keep me entertained from the first to the last page.
If you're a fan, I have no doubt you'll get this one. If you've never read this author, you may as well start with this story of true friendship and love. It’s a ‘must read.’
A wonderful, well written story. The characters in the entire series have been well developed and I love how each book still connects with the former ones and gives new updates about the characters. Sad to see this series is done, but will definitely be reading more books written by Maureen Driscoll.
The next generation of the Emerson. This book has three story in it. The first is the love story of Violet and Wesley, the second is Leticia and Robert and the last is Anna and Mark. The story start with Wesley, Robert and Mark at Eton and go on to tell how they meet the girls and fall in love with them. Great story
A ending for both the Kellington and Emerson series as the 3 young girls Lettie, Violet and Anna grow up and choose their honorable but clueless mates. The story of these 3 young men who joined together in friendship in Eton and how they become intertwined into the families is the best part. Sad this has ended.
I enjoyed the story line but was disappointed in the editing. I saw several errors probably from lack of proofing after digitizing. Gaming hells instead of halls. Other grammatical errors. Once the Emerson family was called by the wrong family’s name
The Emerson's all find their love matches for a lifetime of happiness. Is there always the ONE for each of us? Do we need only trust we are destined to find our true love and live happily ever after. Love between two people makes everything in life flow so much easier, do not settle because you have a perfect match waiting for you.
What a wonderful culmination of the Emerson and Kellington families series. This story is exciting, and it's very well written. Love and acceptance are what's most important. There's so much good in these people. They're not holier than thou, but they're earthy and human.
I loved all three stories, the locations, and the friendships. I loved each individual story as well as the whole. I would recommend this author to my friends and family.
Three different love stories in one book. I loved them and the Kellington & Emerson families. I think you should read about the Kellington and then about the Emerson's and then this lovely story that wraps their families together in a new way.
This collection of three stories of three young men who met at Eton and became life long friends was great! It filled in a lot of information on what happened with the Kellington and Emerson families and tied up the stories very well.
A set of three novellas following the younger generation of characters in the first two series. They were sweet and took care of the future of three of the young girls, but they were also repetitive and quite similar. That said, I mildly enjoyed them and glad I read the book.
I loved reading about Wes, Robert and Mark finally opening their eyes to the women they love Violet, Letty and Anna. I loved reading about the Emerson’s and Kellingtons coming together to help raise these boys and how they fell in love.
Three best girl friends, grow up. Three young men become friends out of necessity at Eton. Wes finds out Lottie is his half sister, and wants to meet her. Upon meeting Wes, Colin invites his two friends to come along. They eventually pair up for life !!!!
It was good to know what happened to the three young girls who became the best of friends. They found their happy ever after. The Kellington and Emerson families were some of the nicest families I have ever read about.
I am sad for this series of books to end even though they were written a few years ago and I have only found them. I love the personality of the characters and the family commitment and generosity displayed in every story.
This is a great set of 3 novellas. They're just right to give us the backstory of the original three, how they grew together and met the women they love.
Hey fellow readers I don’t summarize the books (as there are always great full summaries written that I read myself).
I only give it my personal, general, summary of 5 stars to 1 star.
3 stars: This book is worth a read but didn’t really have me excited about interacting with the book where I could not put it down. It lacks the excitement and well roundness of my personal markers for a great read throughout the book.
Development and interest in main characters, secondary characters, humorous, movement of the book, writing/conversation and romantic/sexual content (1-2 scenes or too much unnecessary).
Read it once and that is enough for me.
However, if this book is part of a series, I would read the next book (pervious book) in the series as it would still peek my reading interest.
I’ll continue reading from this author. I wouldn’t cross the author out of my potential reads in the future.
This book will be better if you have read the Kellington and Emerson series. That way you will not be overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the characters. I loved the Kellington and Emerson series so I was excited to read Anna, Letty, and Violets stories. I was not disappointed. Once again Maureen did an excellent job on the characters and plot. She has a unique writing style that not only entertains the readers, but pulls at their emotions. I look forward to reading more of her books.
If you like Maureen Driscoll I highly recommend you check out the Lorring-Abbot series by Elizabeth Johns.
The final Kellington and Emerson crossover, this is the story of the three youngest girls as they mature into young ladies and find love with three best friends. I loved the idea of them finding mates who were as close as the three of them. The boys don't have easy lives, and it's really sweet to see how the Emersons and Kellingtons help them out. This story is full of sweetness and love, but there is still enough spice between each couple to keep things sexy. It also takes us out of the Regency period and into the Jasmine Cottage series.
I have adored reading about the Kellingtons and the Emersons these past few years. I am so sad that there will be no new books, but I am glad that Violet, Anna, and Letty received their happy endings with men that were truly worthy of them. I can't wait to see what's next.
