From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby comes a new story in her Fusion series…
Chase MacKenzie is not the man for Maura Jenkins. A self-proclaimed life-long bachelor, and unapologetic about his distaste for monogamy, a woman would have to be a masochist to want to fall into Chase’s bed.
And Maura is no masochist.
Chase has one strict rule: no strings attached. Which is fine with Maura because she doesn’t even really like Chase. He’s arrogant, cocky, and let’s not forget bossy. But when he aims that crooked grin at her, she goes weak in the knees. Not that she has any intentions of falling for his charms.
Definitely not.
Well, maybe just once…

Hottttt Daaaaaammmmnnnn!* fanning myself* Oh boy, Kristen Proby really turned up the heat to sky rocket levels with these No Reservations! Who knew such a short story could pack such a punch?! Chase and Maura’s chemistry was so palpable that practically jumped of the pages and gave us a heat stroke. So, yeah, I was not prepared for all sizzling HOTNESS that is these two together: the STEAMIEST of KP’s books! That about says it all, no?!
It’s that the chemistry between us is there. It’s practically a living, breathing entity when we’re in the same room, and I don’t know if I can resist him. I don’t want to want him. But I do.
“I don’t know what I feel, or what I want from her. But I want more than what she’s been giving me.”
Chance and Maura also reveal they are so much more than meets the eye, and how it’s so true that Appearances can be so deceiving, when in fact they couldn’t have been more similar in more than one way. Two peas in a pod, as hard as it is to believe, lol.
“I’m going to do things to you today, Maura.” “What kind of things?” “I’m going to make you moan. Make you want to squirm. Make you forget your own fucking name. I’m going to make you feel so good you can’t stand it.” “Oh my.”
No Reservations was such a witty, funny, and Über sexy story, that even though compact, it fit right in with this delicious and seductive series! A beautiful enemies (though not really, lol) to lovers story that will sure warm up your holidays and leave you craving even more of Fusion gang! <3 <3 <3 <3
“I’ve never met anyone like you,” he says with a nod. “I didn’t think you existed.” “And here I am.”

No Reservations is the perfect addition to this series! It's short, sexy, and has two great main characters who know what they want and don't apologize for being themselves. I'm a huge Kristen Proby fan and this type of book is exactly why. I loved it!
Here's the breakdown: Chase and Maura are setup on a blind date by his brother and her friend. But.....they have past history. Chase has asked her out a couple times and she's always refused. But when a few glasses of wine and a late night ride home lead to more, these two must deal with their undeniable attraction and past history. What happens later is fun to see and enjoyable to read.
What I loved: The characters are great, but they're also a bit unconventional. I won't go into much detail because I want you to read this one for yourself, but it refreshing to see. In real life, every person and relationship is different and to see those variances included in a book like this was really great.
The writing and plot are both great, but the real shining star for me was the sexual chemistry and steamy bits between the main characters. They were off the charts scalding! LOL
I adore Kristen's book and this is a great addition. It's best to read it as a part of the series so you get a sense of who everyone is, but I think this works very well as a standalone. Highly recommended!
This was a great novella and I loved the little hints of past characters from this series. Even in such a short amount of pages Kristen Proby made it very evident that Chase and Maura had a connection and oh boy was it a hot one. Definitely a recommended read and if you haven't started this series yet this one would be a great introduction.
Many thanks to InkSlinger PR for giving me a free review copy of this novella in exchange for my honest review!
I first discovered Kristen Proby's "Seduction" series around this time last year, and really fell in love with the concept of five best girlfriends going into business together and using their different talents to follow their dreams. "No Reservations" is a bit of a spin-off novella, in that it doesn't really involve any of the original five Seduction owners, except for Kat, who makes a brief cameo appearance. Instead, we've got Maura, a friend of Kat's, and Chase, Kat's husband's brother.
I don't always enjoy novellas because they can be too short to show any character development. I thought Proby did a good job here in bringing Maura and Chase to life in such an abbreviated time span. At first, I was frustrated with the back and forth between these two. Even though they set up some ground rules in advance, they both kept breaking them, and I just wanted them to communicate their feelings and get over whatever it was that was holding them back. By the end of the book, however, I felt that I got to know and like these characters, especially once I was let in on the reason behind each of their hangups, and I ended up hoping they would get their happily ever after.
As with all of the other books in this series, the chemistry between Chase and Maura practically leaps off the page. If you haven't experienced the steam that is Proby's writing, then you really need to remedy that! And if you're not sure whether you're up to that spice level, then what better way to sample the heat than with a shorter book like "No Reservations"?
I really enjoyed this book. But I knew I would. It's hard for me not to like this authors books. This story was great. I was dying to get more of Chase Mac's bother. We got a lil of him in Kat and Mac's book Blush For Me which was a brilliant book. So get more of Chase was exciting.
Maura is a great character. She's very independent. She does have her family around her but she is happy with life. Maura is a teacher and really enjoys what She does. Her best friend Tommy means a lot to her. Tommy is great I really liked him. So does have some rules she tries to stick to in her life like she doesn't date or do sleep overs but otherwise life is great. Until a certain man with sexy eyes gets under her skin.
Chase is really sexy I like him a lot. He knows what he wants it mite not be what every man wants but he owns it. Chase does have problems finding woman and he is known for it. He does date and he makes himself clear on these fact before hand. He just wants to enjoy life. He enjoys working with his brother doin Wine tours which has become sucessful. So Chase life as been pretty good to him. There as been a few ups and downs but he deals with it. But when he finally gets his hands on Maura things start to change. Whatever Maura does to him can't get enough of her.
This book was so good. I just wish it was longer. I luv all the characters in this series you can't help but luv them. It was great the way Chase and Maura met and how they got together. They made a perfect couple they were so suited. It just took them a while to work this out. But how they worked it out was hot and steamy. I really like these two together. I would highly recommend this book I couldn't put it down once I started. It's a short read with a great story and characters.
Ummm... This one was just okay for me. I didn't really connect with these two. They were too cold then flaming hot and back to cold then super flaming hot. So on and so forth. A lot of very sexy sex scenes, not enough heart. 😕 Happy reading.
“You’re a stubborn woman, Maura Jenkins.” “You have no idea, Chase MacKenzie.”
Grab a spare pair of panties ladies and get ready for one SCORCHING HOT novella from the ever so talented, and one of my FAVORITES, Kristen Proby! No Reservations is a hot little number that will be melting hearts everywhere! I absolutely ADORED Chase and Maura together! The chemistry…INSANE! The connection…STRONG! The sex…DO YOU EVEN HAVE TO ASK? Ms. Proby can DO NOW WRONG, and she establishes that fact OVER and OVER again!
If you loved her writing before, be prepared to fall in love all over again! Chase and Maura will EXCITE you…FRUSTRATE you…CHARM you…ENTERTAIN you. They will grab your heart and never let go! How does Ms. Proby pack so much heart and heat into a novella? I will never know, but I hope she NEVER STOPS!
Newbies can enjoy this story all on its own, but be prepared to become ADDICTED! Fans will read this review and not be surprised at all, because Ms. Proby brings us high-quality romance no matter the word count. I’m in LOVE and I know you will be too once you DEVOUR No Reservations like I did. So sit down, relax, grab a glass of wine (or two) and be prepared to be charmed right out of your panties! Oh, it’s gonna be a real good night for you! Happy Reading!
Who would've thought that!?!? But I loved how fast and intense this was! I'm so glad that I decided to give this a try, because it was totally worth it!
Due to the heroine's character and attitude I should have liked her better. She sounded like my type of a heroine. But I couldn't connect to her. Every time she or any side characters said she were a strong and independent woman, I asked myself if they wanted to persuade them or me...
What I liked: both MCs didn't want to have any children and they stayed content in their opinion (I don't say it's right or wrong) - I just liked that they didn't 'force' standard la la land ending on those characters.
No Reservations was a helluva steamy romance that got to my heart in one instant. I love this kind of romances, the slow-burn kind, the fight-my-feelings kind, the strong-willed-and-stubborn-characters kind and of course, the Kristen-Proby-Erotica kind. Yeah! Kristen has written one super hot novella in No Reservations and I was left wanting more—more Maura and Chase, more Tommy the gay best friend, more Mac and Kat, more of the Fusion girls… More everything!!
I won’t say much about the story because you all need to read it and enjoy every word of this awesome novella. I’ll only say that get ready for the new sexy couple of the Fusion family.
No Reservations is the newest work from author Kristen Proby and it part of her Fusion series as well as novella number 22 in the 2017 1,001 Dark nights lineup. I adore Ms. Proby's Fusion series and was so excited to get more of these fab characters!
I love when a no strings relationship turns into a full-fledged strings and all sorts of feelings attached situation! This story was such a perfect example of when that trope is done so damn well. These two characters were so fun to read. Hot, steamy, flirty, and down right delicious! I devoured this novella!
Whether you're already a fan of Ms. Proby's writing or this is your first taste, I know you will love No Reservations as much as I did!
From the sexy cover to the intriguing synopsis, Proby manages to deliver a short story filled with romantic and steamy scenes that will leave you wanting for more. Not having read other books by the author before, I was really impressed with how well she executed the story. At the beginning we get to meet Maura Jenkins, a teacher who loves her job but has trouble finding the right man. When she is setup on a blind date by her friend, she is hesitant yet she is curious to meet the guy. When she is supposed to meet with him and her friends she doesn’t like what she sees one bit, as the guy who is supposed to be her blind date has been trying to ask her out for a while now and she always shuts him down. Chase is easy on the eyes, but he can such a womanizer that Maura doesn’t want anything to do with him at all. It’s after a couple drinks that Maura starts to get comfortable with Chase that everything changes between them after that. It’s evident that they have great chemistry, but the more time they spend together the more they wonder if this could lead to a real relationship.
Chase MacKenzie is wealthy, handsome, and he doesn’t do commitments. He doesn’t want a relationship, and everyone knows it. But when he meet Maura Jenkins at one his wine tours, he knows that she is different and will not stop at nothing until he gets her to go out with him. It’s when he sees her again that he takes the opportunity to get her to talk to him, but after a few drinks they both end up spending the night and he wants to keep her all to himself. I absolutely loved to the story, it was steamy! The characters are different yet they compliment each other very well. The writing made the story that much more exciting to read. The story is really a chase that has the characters going back and forth because they don’t want to admit their feelings towards each other. Although the story is short, we still manage to get a fully developed story from start to finish. I cannot wait to read more from the author in the future and I would highly recommend reading this book. You will not regret it. :D
***ARC provided for blog tour purposes in exchange for an honest review.***
I love this fun, smart, sexy Fusion series and am thrilled that we have a novella with Chase and Maura's not really friends/not really enemies-to-lovers story.
Chase MacKenzie is Mac's brother, Kat's brother in law, and partner in their wine touring business. Known as a bit of a player, Chase isn't someone who's long term relationship material, and quite honestly, neither is Maura.
But there's a massive spark between these two . . . one that cannot be denied. But can they both admit that the other is the person they never knew they wanted? Never knew that a relationship could be so amazing and true?
There are so many things to love about Chase and Maura's relationship, but in my opinion, their absolute honesty with each other about life, love and their intense feelings for each other is the best part. Serious adult relationship goals. And another excellent addition to the series. ~ Missy, 4.5 stars

Wooo! *fans self*. Chase and Maura were an unexpected, sizzling hot, and completely delightful treat! I loved them so much more than I really expected to. I loved their honesty, and the chemistry between them that they fought (to no avail) at every turn. I loved how even though they fought against their attraction, it was always very clear that there were feelings there, and I never got frustrated with their struggle. In fact, if anything, it read like foreplay. Delicious, scintillating foreplay.
I sometimes struggle with novellas because of how quickly things move, and yet there was something so completely satisfying about Chase and Maura's story - I didn't feel like it moved too quickly at all. I didn't feel like I was cheated out of anything. It managed to be sweet, sexy, and sparky with chemistry and my beaming smile as I turned the last page pretty much speaks for itself.
No Reservations is a delightful little addition to the Fusion series. If you're looking for something lighthearted, sexy, as well as quick and easy - you can't go wrong with this one! ~ Shelly, 4.5 Stars
The pairing in Kristen Proby’s No Reservations was intriguing and entertaining and it was fun to watch them muddle their way through their feelings and fall in love. Loosely tied to Proby’s wildly popular Fusion series, this novella was a fun and sexy read.
Chase MacKenzie has no intention of settling down or having a family of his own. Watching his parents messed up relationship made Chase realize he never wanted to be that vulnerable to another person, but for some reason he can’t explain Maura Jenkins intrigues him like no other. Maura has refused Chase’s repeated advances, but when they are set up on a blind date by his brother and one of her good friends, they share a moment of passion and then pinky swear it won’t happen again. Apparently their pinkies were broken!
I really enjoyed this book mainly because both Chase and Maura were thrown off their game, no one had the advantage, and they both had to really examine their lives and what they were feeling and wanting from each other. I liked that once they began talking and getting to know one another it was evident their philosophies on love and family meshed, but that also left them both feeling vulnerable and scared. For two intelligent people they were both a bit emotionally stunted, but thankfully they had good friends and family to give them advice and make them take a good long look at what was happening between them and what they felt like apart.
Ms. Proby packed a lot into No Reservations so despite it being novella length, it reads like a full length book giving readers a completely satisfying love story.
Focusing on two secondary characters, from the series Kristen Proby gives readers a quick a dirty peek into the Fusion series world.
While Kristen Proby eventually develops the hero and heroine of No Reservations, for a good portion of the novel Chase and Maura are very two dimensional characters. When readers first meet them, there is a previously established antagonistic relationship, and both are emotionally closed off from relationships. Most of their relationship is based on the physical interactions between them. There is the eventual progression and openness required not only to allow readers to get to know the characters but also to establish that there is more to them as a couple than their chemistry in the bedroom.
As with most novellas, the plot and pacing is quick. Kristen Proby does a good job with establishing their relationship with a legitimate conflict and resolution. Their hang-ups are believable, the effect on their relationship authentic, an the reconciliation is rewarding. If the characters would have been developed at a faster rate, readers would connect with them faster, making the whole story that much better.
Fans of the Fusion series will enjoy this quick and steamy novella. They get to see one of their favorite couples from the series, and they get to witness a much steamier side to the series. It definitely left me excited to return to this world again with the final book in series to come. ------ ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
Read this for a challenge because it was a super quick book. Plus it doesn't hurt that it had some smut in it.
No Reservations is just another one of those books that I found from the 1001 Dark Nights series. I have no idea how many books are actually in this thing.. but I plan to demolish every single one of them.
In this, you will meet Chase and Maura. They were kind of cute... but then tables turned quickly and they became hot! These two had amazing chemistry - I just wish I got more of them! Sometimes novellas leave me bittersweet because I want more from the ones that I love.. but other times I'm so freaking glad that it's finally over.
I also kind of wanted to know more about these two but I guess I will accept what I got. In the end, I knew that they had a previous past together.. but they definitely needed this second chance at freaking romance - because hot damn. I loved them.
Overall, can't wait to dive into the next book of this series. Also, wanted to point out that I'm completely reading these out of order because I'm lazy.
Just as it was with Kendall Ryan's The Bed Mate, Kristen Proby's No Reservation gave me all the warm fuzzies even if it was a quick read. I enjoyed how the characters are so comfortable with one another, the humor behind their banter and especially, couldn't get enough of the sexual chemistry, which is through the roof. I love getting into books by this author since i know that it'll be something unforgettable. And the fact that it's part of the 1001 Dark Nights lineup is only an added bonus that makes it that much more special!
A quick and extremely sexy read, Proby brings us back to the world of Fusion with Chase MacKenzie's story. When Kat tries to set her friend, Maura, up with her brother-in-law, Chase, she didn't realize the two already knew each other. Despite Chase's efforts, and their obvious attraction, Maura is not interested in being just another notch in a bedpost. One night changes everything for these two commitmentphobes.
These two were on fire! Holy hotness! Chase and Maura were seriously sexy and a lot of fun to read about. I enjoyed the natural progression of the story. Nothing felt forced or added for the sake of drama. Don't get me wrong, there were times Maura and Chase drove me crazy but it was easy to understand where their heads were at. It was funny to see how two people who were so similar could fight their connection so hard.
This novella was loaded with steamy scenes while still delivering substance and development. I have really enjoyed this series and look forward to Savor You.
Chase and Maura were one heck of a couple. I loved their chemistry, their connection, their obvious affection for one another...and how hard they fought to deny that they had feelings for each other. It made for a fun back and forth to their romance and it gave the story a lot of momentum that allowed it to move smoothly.
I also liked another thing you find out about both of them one night by a fire. I will not give it away as that would be a spoiler, but I loved it and I loved that they were each accepting of the other, and of the way they felt. That is how it should be, and this really made me connect both with the characters and the story.
Kristen Proby is a favorite of mine as there is always something about her books, and her writing, that draws me in quickly and holds on to me for the entire story. The main criticism I have of this story is that it was short, as it was a novella, and I would have been just fine spending more time with these characters.
I think Kristen Proby could write the phone book and I would read it. This Fusion novella focuses on Mac's brother Chase and Kat's friend Maura. Let me say this first - Maura is friends with Kat an has NEVER been to Seduction??? WTF? How is that even possible???
Anyway, I digress. Chase and Maura both know that due to their screwed up childhoods, they don't want children. I can respect that. Chase has a bit of a reputation as a player, and Maura finds him arrogant and annoying - until she doesn't.
The main story is about them hooking up and having incredible sex and finding love when you aren't looking or expecting it. Cute story.
This is a short, side story in Kristen Proby's Fusion series. We meet Chase in previous books as he is Mac's brother. Chase and Maura have a history having met through work a few times. Neither are looking for relationships. What turns out as being a not so blind date leads to Maura finally giving Chase a chance.
The whole love/hate premise with these two is foreplay. Maura makes him work for it if he really wants to be with her. Lots of steamy chemistry with these to. They are a perfect match when it comes down to it.
This is just a novella, so we get a good peek at this couple. But, it doesn't hold the meat and fleshing out of character as a full length novel would do. It is still a quick, steamy read and a great addition to the series. We get a peek at previous couples from the series and that is always worth the read in my world.
*Complimentary copy provided for an honest review.
Not my cup of anything. Zero connection, zero depth. The main characters get tipsy and start fucking in chapter 1 and just continue throughout the story. The level of stupidity is overbearing. Didn't like the characters, didn't like the plot. Sorry but that's not for me.
I received and ARC for this and was asked for an honest review!
No Reservations This is a Novella in Kristen Proby's Fusion Series. Though a short story, it was a complete story filled with: sizzling chemistry, humor and the couple's obvious affection for each other. I walked away from this book VERY satisfied! It was short, fun & sexy and I LOVED it! It was a great fit to this series.
Chase and Maura are set up on a blind date by Maura's friend, Kat and husband Mac. Only to find out that they knew each other! Maura had already turned Chase down quite a few times before their blind date. "So, I'm not your type, but you've asked me out at least sixteen times in the past two years". "I mean, I know your ego is probably fragile, and that's why you kept asking me out after the third time when I told you to choke on a cork ..."
They bicker back and forth and it is funny and keeps the story moving at a fast pace. One where you want to keep reading and not put the book down!
They both have relationship issues and are not looking for a “happy ever after” relationship. The main difference between the two is that Chase is a player and Maura wants a monogamous sexual relationship. Maura is intelligent and quite the spitfire, something Chase is not used to. The handsome, hot man is used to women “falling” at his feet, but Maura keeps him on his toes and wanting more!
They never "fight" the chemistry they have, but after taking the time to know each other, they find out they they are really "two peas in a pod". Their thoughts on relationships were so similar all along and yet they thought they were alone in their wants and needs.
I really liked these two characters as a couple. They are someone you'd love to have as friends and definitely fit in with the Fusion crowd!
I find Kristen Proby’s books are always entertaining, hot, humorous and always loving and I look forward to reading each one. I love her strong females, nothing worse than whiny females and I also like that a lot of her men are “bossy” without being cruel! I've read everyone one of Kristen's books and some series, I have re-read because she never disappoints! So, I'll be reading this again when it releases.. yes, I enjoyed it that much!
No Reservations is a novella in the amazing Fusion series. I will never get enough of Kristen’s books. I would probably read the phone book if she wrote it. Ok, back to this story. It can be read as standalone but if you have had the pleasure of reading the series then you might remember Chase, Mac’s brother and business partner from Blush for Me. This is his story and it’s sinfully sexy.
Chase and Maura have a few things in common. They love a good wine, great sex, and no strings. Chase is a bit of a player. Maura enjoys sex. She has needs but doesn’t just sleep with just anyone. She knows Chase would be up there in her best sex of her life list but she doesn’t want to just be a notch on his bedpost. She also doesn’t want to marry the guy so it’s confusing. That is why she has said no to him more than once about going out of a date. She had the “stay away from Chase” locked down until one night when she lets her guard and her panties down.
They agree it will never happen again. It was just a one-time thing. They bicker too much for this to go any further. It would never work. It wouldn’t work. It never works past the sex phase when it comes to men for Maura. They want too much. But what if he is different? What if he doesn’t just want a notch on his bedpost. What if he really cares about her outside of the bedroom. Will these two get on the same page and actually talk about what they want or don’t want out of life?
I love a good novella. This was a great addition to the series. Short, sexy, funny, and sweet all wrapped up in a small package. I hope to see them again.
Quotes:
“I mean, he’s not likely to seduce me into mind blowing sex in his office, right?” He smirks and shakes his head. “Sure, if that helps you sleep at night.”
“I like your sassy mouth,” he says, his voice low. “And I like to shut it up as well.” “I feel like I should be offended by that, but I’m not.”
“Come over to my place, sugar. I have donuts.” I grin and nod, even though he can’t see me. “This is why we’re friends.”

Well this was a sexy and fun enemies to lovers tale. I always love anything Kristen Proby writes and this was no different.
I thought No Reservations was a great addition to the Fusion Series. This is a novella so it will only take you a couple hour to devour this gem. It is a complete standalone and told in Dual POV. You don’t have to read the Fusion Series before enjoying this story. But I think it is a good idea to get the full experience of these characters. Plus you do see some of the Fusion characters in this story
In this book we follow the story of Chase and Maura. Chase is Mac’s brother (from Blush For You) and Maura is a friend of Kat’s (Kat is Mac’s wife and co-owner of Seduction) Kat has decided she is going to set up Maura….little does Maura know it is with her brother - in - law Chase. But what Kat doesn’t know is that they already know each other and to say they aren’t friendly is an understatement. I will say I loved their banter/bickering or as they said “foreplay” ;) And the sexual chemistry these two had was OFF THE CHARTS!!! talk about kindle melting. I enjoyed getting to know these characters. They truly were meant for each other.
I also liked seeing Kat and Mac in this story. It was fun seeing them again.
I would recommend this story to everyone. It is a fun and sexy read that you won’t be able to put down. I loved that even though this is a novella and a fairly quick read, I didn’t feel like it was missing anything. We get just enough of everything for this story to feel complete. But don’t take my word for it….Read this book for yourself and see how great of a read this is!!!
Holy smokes! Turn off the sprinklers and silence the fire alarms! There's no actual fire...unless you count the one that Maura and Chase just lit in my heart and on my kindle. I had to double check a couple of times that I was still reading my sweet and charming Kristen Proby... 😍 ha!
But on a serious note, for real, Kristen is back with a sweet and sexy little novella set in the Fusion world and what a book this was. Intense. Fun. Seductive. Steamy. And all kinds of so so good! Chase and Maura were simply everything with undeniable chemistry and sizzling sparks! I devoured every single unforgettable moment they gave me and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish.
And don't let that word novella send you away...each and every page of their journey packed a serious punch straight to the heart. Fans of this author and more specifically this series, you are in for a really great treat.
Chase Mackenzie is a ladies man through and through, he doesn't do relationships, feelings, or love... that is until he meets the one woman who is different from the rest, the one who makes him want to be a better man... a one woman kind of man.
The moment Maura Jenkins learns that Chase Mackenzie is her blind date she is ready to bail, she's heard the stories about him and has no intentions of being the next. But then is a amazing chemistry brewing between them that neither expected, and neither is quite ready to walk away from... so they agree on a strings free night... but then one night turns to two!
No Reservations is a scintillating little tale that is certain to rock readers world and leave them highly satisfied! This was quite an enthralling read, I felt an immediate pull between the characters, their chemistry was very evident from their first meeting and continued to escalate throughout the pages... they had my tablet overheating!! I really love this series, with each new addition I am left in awe of Ms. Proby's literary talents, her crafty story lines, and eccentric characters have taken me on some of my all time favorite literary escapes!! Highly recommend it's sure to keep you completely captivated from start to finish!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
