Laila Thompson is so sick of her judgmental family, especially her mother, who constantly harps on the fact that Laila hasn’t gotten married and given her grandkids yet.
Laila escapes to the islands, where she meets a black Adonis named Bastian, who has his own family issues. He isn’t living up to the expectations of his rich parents and has escaped to the islands, as well. At first, Laila is put off by Bastian’s abrupt manner, but his amazing good looks and brilliant smile make her think there’s more there than meets the eye.
Laila and Bastian become lovers, but they can’t deny there’s something deeper smoldering just beneath the surface, a passion so strong it could change both of their lives.
