After going through two messy divorces, Hayley Winters just wants to get away from all the drama, heartache and lies.
She moves into a little house in the quiet town of Wolves Hollow and tries to settle into her new life. But she can't seem to shake the feeling that there are secrets that the small town is hiding.
The first time she sees her next door neighbor, he is in the center of a storm of wolves. Tall, sexy and dangerous, Grayson Edge is a complication she doesn't need. But the more she gets to know her handsome, protective next door neighbor, the more uncertain her life becomes.
Falling for a powerful, dangerous alpha wolf was never part of her plan...

Wolves Hollow is a town of beasts, and Grayson is careful to steer his pack away from the bloodshed and violence of shifter politics.

Grayson can't keep his mind off that curvy, human beauty but he knows that Wolves Hollow is no place for a vulnerable human woman.
She should leave and get as far away from Wolves Hollow as possible.
The problem is—Grayson can't let Hayley go.
But can he keep her safe in a town full of monsters?

Hayley Winters knows that there are shifters and didn't quite realize she had moved into a neighborhood of shifters. She realizes it quickly enough though when she witnesses a bunch of wolves and her neighbor in a moment. What Hayley does not know though is that a rival packs alpha has decided she is his and she is not interested. Alpha Grayson Edge saves his neighbor and for the first time he feels a pull towards her. Can this alpha have finally found his mate?

This was fun, had a lot of layers to the story. There is also a witch neighbor who is quiet a hoot. Worth checking out if you like Alpha stories and would be curious to see what happens next in the series.

DNF at 25%

This combination of poor writing, poor story telling, and scenes that just made my eyes roll out of my head were so painful I just couldn't continue. I love alpha stories, I love me some hot shifters, but this sadly didn't do it for me. The fact that the h was already getting jealous over a guy she hadn't even met yet was really ridiculous among other things that were going on in this story. If you're looking for something smart and believable to draw you in, you won't find it here.

I'm rating this one star for the fact that the author had even managed to write a story. That's hard work all on its own, even if it didn't work for me per say.

When I read the premise of the book, I was really excited about it.
Reading through it though, I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The introduction could've been a little more, well, introductory. It was weird not knowing if the main character knew of the existence of "creatures" in the world. The way it was explained though, had my craving for a better explanation.

So much more could've been done with this :/

I havent read this author for awhile. Her books were running together for me and sounding the same. So, I took a break. I found this one recently and decided to give it a try. Its very different from some of her previous. Its more gritty and a little darker. I really enjoyed reading it!

Hayley is looking to settle after her second divorce. She doesnt trust anymore and just wants to be by herself. Well, Wolves Hollow is a surprise and the people there are different. She knows its a shifter town but they all keep to themselves until one night it all changes.

Grayson new alpha of the pack is having to heal the pack and he's gotta do that by showing his dominance. Its not a pretty picture and he hates it. He needs to protect the humans including an alluring human he is drawn to. Can he keep her safe and will Hayley let her walls down to accept Grayson?

Needs maturity, editing, and outlining

This is clearly a self published work by an inexperienced author. The glow of the chapters don’t make any sense very often. The writing is rushed and immature. It reads more like an author wanted to publish something quickly to cash in on a work rather than deliver a novel that respects readers.
The premise isn’t original in the slightest but could harness potential for a great story if put into the hands of an author who demonstrates care for the writing and has a decent editor.

A tightly written twisty kind of book

I loved the concept of this storyline. Hayley and Grayson have a simple connection but there are a bunch of complications to go through before it happens. I love that there are good and evil witches, crazed zombie rapists and a magical broom. The story is well written and well worth the time to read it!

Alpha Next Door

Yaya and Boris are too funny. I was hoping Yaya would come to help them. I'm glad those three wolves were banished from the pack, they never should have been allowed to stay in the first place. Grayson and Hayley were perfect for each other.

3.5 stars. If it had been longer and explored the characters on a deeper level, it could have easily been upgraded to 5 stars in my opinion

Shifter standalone book.....

Kindle Unlimited. When she moves to a new town, she doesn't realize her neighbors are shifters and witches until the night her life changes.... He's the alpha and after challenges and discretion, he realizes there's more to the new human in town than meets the eyes.

This is a really quick read, but isn't lacking in story. Witches, shape shifters, and a woman who stumbles into the middle of it all. Can Hayley become excepted by the fellow towns people and her neighbors..... will she survive too?
