Two years after spending one blissful night with her lifelong crush, Cassie Huntington meets Declan Preston again during the Christmas season, and secrets and lies turn into a fake wedding that just might save their love. OH, WHAT A NIGHT Cassie Huntington and Declan Preston began crushing on each other when they were kids. For years, neither acted on their feelings. Then, on one fantastic, reckless night in Seaside, Florida, just before Cassie was to marry another man and Declan was to leave for London, they shared everything they ever wanted. Then Declan left. After the best sex of his life, Declan knew he’d return to reclaim his first love when his two-year stint in London ended. But when he learns Cassie has been hiding life-altering secrets, he realizes he doesn’t know the woman he'd left behind. Worse, just when he thinks one deception is cleared up, she lays another whopper on him—a fake holiday wedding. Yet what starts as lies will end as a truth that could never be Declan and Cassie are meant to be together. Forever.

I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, daughter, 3 rescue dogs, 1 cat, and one bunny (that doesn't seem to like us). I love reading romance novels as much as I love writing them. I feel like inspiration can come from anywhere; a song lyric, a quote, a weekend with friends. The tiniest things can spark amazing stories.

Delightful read. I hope not all the men in this author's books are manwhores before settling for the "good girl".

Declan and Cassie have been "in love" since they were kids. Simple right, Not. They live their lives separate from each other. Until one night, they hook up. Finally!! Their story was filled with love, lust, heartbreak, hilarity and lots of sexy times. I was really routing for them. You don't want to miss reading this book. Get your copy today.

I liked this book. I like the way L.P. writes and how she writes her male characters especially. I had a few issues with the storyline, and reasonings for some actions, but overall, it's a solid read.

Short but definitely worth a read

This is cute. Declan and Cass make for such a good couple. And their meddling mothers just add more drama and laughs. Can't wait to read Brice and Hollie's story.

LP Maxa has done it again. She has written another book that I quickly fell in love with and didn’t want it to end. But at the same time I guess I did want it to end. Not because the story was bad because it was the opposite, but because if it didn’t end then Cassie and Declan wouldn’t achieve their happily ever after. I will admit that I wanted to smack Declan upside the head and tell him to open his eyes and claim his woman before he loses her. I understood that he had been hurt by Cassie’s actions, but he was stringing her along and messing with her head. He loved her, he wanted her, he slept with her, he touched her and he was jealous about her interactions with other men but he kept hurting her, he was forever making sure that she knew that the wedding was fake. I don’t blame Cassie for having a jumbled up heart and head when it came to her love for Declan. LP Maxa has the ability to capture not only her reader attention but also parts of their hearts with her way with words and her stories. I absolutely adored Brice, I wanted to steal him away and keep him for myself. I loved the fact that although he was a protective older brother, he didn’t get angry and start a fight with Declan. He did all that he could to make Declan realise that he wanted to be with Cassie for the rest of his life. When Holland was brought into the story and mentioned her hatred for Brice, my first thought was ‘’Holland and Brice would be a perfect couple and I cope they get together and have their own book’’. I was happily to find out I was right when we got a little clip of Brice’s book at the end of this book.I devoured this book and I cannot wait for LP’s next release!

First off I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. As I start all my reviews, there are four elements that to me make a great book. It must make you laugh, cry, want to throw it, and then never want to put it down. LP Maxa did all this in Happy Place. What a perfect mix of sexy, and sweet strong characters with just a few unexpected twists tossed in to keep you at the edge of your seat. I don’t do spoilers but this is one book that will keep you coming back for more with such a wonderful characters, I feel in love with Declan and Cassie. I am sure that you will as well.

This one is confusing

Dec is hot, sweet and a jerk. Cassie is beautiful and sweet. I probably need to wait to do this review until I can think about it....try to find more empathy for dec...yet what cassie did wasn't okay, either. All's well that ends well I suppose. Looking forward to more of them in bryce's book. Unless..l.p. waits so long to write it that I've lost interest. 3.75 stars. Iffy storyline. Still a fun light read. A lot of typos though.
