“I know our relationship may seem unconventional to some, but it’s our story, and it’ll always be my favorite one...” -Travis King
I can't take it. I. Can't. If you thought This is War was fantastic, addictive and took you out for one helluva ride? (I DID!) Well guess what—this one is just holy freaking phenomenal! Think all that you experienced in book one, then multiply it to about a hundred. That's how I felt after I finished reading this! Well, aside from the fact that that ending almost gave me a heart attack! But god did I die. My poor ovaries never even made it. My heart was incredibly brimming and overflowing with so much feels for Team Traviola! They were just so amazing together, I can't deal.
Travis King was beyond perfection, more so in this book. He showed a side of himself that just brought me to my knees. Don't get me wrong, he was still his usual cocky, funny self, but lace that with so much more love, tenderness and thoughtful actions—that's the Travis we get here. And ohhhh how the mighty King has fallen. His soft and sweet side killed me. From the very beginning of this book until that very last moment, he will have you begging for him to be real. At least that's how I was anyway. He was just so much more than I expected from what we got from him in This is War. My heart barely survived the domination of this King.
Viola Fisher was as lovable, quirky and awesome as ever. If there really is anybody in this world who could tame, handle and banter with the King, it's this girl. Just her. She's just the ultimate and perfect match for him. She never failed to amuse me and make me laugh my butt off, especially with her addiction to Harry Potter. Viola is a character who is so relatable, you can easily see yourself in her place. And damn do I want to be in her place, all right! I want to be Travis King's princess, pretty please!
These two have embedded themselves in my heart and soul. I will forever love the dynamic they have, the ton of laughter and anger and so much extreme emotion they brought out of me. And the feels—good lord, the damn feels were just going on and on, it was crazy!
Y'all, if you want a story that will make you giggle, squirm, bite your nails, punch someone, or just plain die of pure adorableness, read Traviola's story. (And more, later on. Trust me.) You certainly won't go wrong with these characters. And I'm pretty sure you'll just want more, because that ending—it will leave your jaw stuck on the floor. Because it's not over! I mean, Mia fucking Montgomery. Remember?
Kennedy Fox, I still have no idea who you ladies are, but I swear, y'all are going to get massive tackle hugs from me when (not if—WHEN) I see and meet you. There's no wonder at all why this author duo is taking the book community by storm. Their duets are so insanely good, it will leave you in book heaven for days!
