I received a signed copy of this book as a prize for contest during an author takeover a while back and am just now getting to read it. I hate I waited so long! This book was on point.
Who knew working at the car wash could be filled with so much drama and sex? Not me. I should have been working at one during college. Lol
Vanessa had a cushy job as a management consultant and was living the good life. That was until her ex boyfriend and boss sold the company to payoff his debts, leaving his employees jobless. That guy was such a tool. I don't know what she saw in him. Shocking surprises seemed to be his mo because the reason they broke up, after a 3 year relationship where he met her parents, was because she saw him out with his WIFE and daughter, whom he named Vanessa after her. She had no idea he was married. Smh.
After being blackballed by her ex, Vanessa has no choice but to take a job at the car wash where her BFF works. She was evicted from her apartment, so she also had to move in with her bestie. She meets Mark on the day of her interview and is infatuated. His dreamy eyes and sexy smile had her in a tizzy. There in lies the problem. There is a no fraternizing rule at work that nobody seems to follow, but Vanessa has also vowed never to date another co-worker.
From there a whole lot of drama ensues. Too much for a brief review. I urge you to read this book and find out what goes on behind the scenes at Suds, the VIP in car washes. I really enjoyed the writing style and the story was great. I kinda fell for Mark, which is a compliment to the writer. New Book Boyfriend!!!
