This is one of those books you find your hand slipping towards in the bookstore because of the unconventional presentation: the cover is a form of thick black rubber with the gray rubber letters inlaid. I picked it up as a gift but might someday also pick up a copy to put on my own shelves with my collection of books that you really *can* judge by their cover. The physicality of books like this reminds me that the Kindle and its ilk can never really replace my book collection until it can imitate the texture of an experience like this.
Very basic introduction to different types of fetishes. I enjoyed it, although you can breeze through the content in less than an hour. The pictures and kinky line drawings are entertaining but the real delight of this book lies in the thick rubber cover. This is a super fun book to have on your shelf if you enjoy collecting these kinds of titles. Also I purchased it for $2.99 from Barnes and Noble, so for me it was definitely worth it.
I was expecting a little more from this book then what I got. I was hoping to learn about many different fetishes. Instead the book focus's mostly on BDSM and goes into less extreme fetishes very minimal. The book basically introduces you to the world of BDSM and gives a lot of tips, do's and don'ts, as well as badly drawn pieces accompanied with some of the topics. It's a very short read and the whole book is written in little cliff notes, not written like an actual book. The author brings humor into it, sometimes funny, sometimes not. It was entertaining for the most part but I wanted to learn about FETISHES, not BDSM.
A very pretty book....the pictures and cover of the book definitely have style. This is a good book for basics. If you want to ponder types of fetish and want a simple primer. Has a useful section of resources, but nothing you couldn't find in other sex guides- Good Vibrations Guide to Sex, for example.
Really nice overview especially if you're new to the scene. Doesn't go too deep but covers the basics of the whole dom/sub thing quite well. Some nice resources in the back if you want to dive deeper into the subject. The PVC cover is quite appropriate as well..... ;)
