Emma loves the stray cats at the riding school stables, especially a kitten she names Sammy. She wants to take Sammy home, but can she talk her parents into adopting a half-wild kitten?
Holly Webb is one of Britain's best-loved children's writers. She has written over a hundred books for children, and her work has been translated into over thirty languages. Holly lives in Tilehurst, just outside of Reading, Berkshire, with her husband, three children and several cats.
3.5⭐️ so cute Sammy’s progress throughout the book was so sweet Emma was adorable! The beautiful pictures every 2-5 pages were so pretty I love the way they look such a cool art style. Such an easy read and would recommend it to anyone who likes kid-ish cat books with a few pictures (not every page) and just want an easy sweet read. (Mainly read since I’ve had tbis book since (2017 or 2016)

As a cat lover and a Holly fangirl this book was a perfect match for me. I found it interesting how pony lover Emma does her best to help care for the kittens and give them a home despite some obstacles. Sammy is adorable! Sophy's illustrations are super cute, and I happily sat staring at the pictures which made me feel I could reach out and pick the cats up. The story is realistic with a very happy ending which seems like Holly's signature ending, if that makes sense. There are heaps of other books in this series so go check them out!
