I am new to Amanda Quick and purchased Crystal Gardens from a BookBub special offer. I almost didn’t because many of the GoodRead reviews were less than gushing but I’m glad I did. I found it to be light, easy to read and thoroughly enjoyable. So much so that I will look for further books in the series. If you’re a stickler for historical accuracy perhaps this is not your book, if you just want a story that has a historical “aura” I recommend it. I liked the psychic edge to the plot but the heavy usage of the word psychical I found annoying in the extreme (I find it ugly & awkward). Just a personal quirk.
